"Pure! Wake up!" I hit Cheshire's legs and rolled over.

  "Ten more minutes." I groaned and swatted at him again.

  "Your kits disappeared." My head snapped up and I sprang to my paws.

  "What!? Where? When?!" I hurriedly looked around the fern bush that we slept under. I raced from the fern bush when I didn't see them and started to tear the clearing apart looking for them.  "Diamond! Spades! Heart! Jack! Where are you!?" Cheshire trots over to me.

  "Wow, you really must be their mother if you tear the whole place apart looking for them." I whirled around and glared at him.

  "Of course I'm their mother! But I lost them!" I wailed the last part. I spun around and there was a flash of blue light, and the tree in front of me was shredded. Leanna scrambles over to me.

  "You have Astral claws?!" I shredded the grass with the Astral claws, making a ditch.

  "Apparently." The bushes rustle and the four kittens tumble out. "You!" I stalk over to them and start to groom their fur. Diamond nuzzled me.

  "Sorry mom. We were trying to help you find the Lake." I nuzzle her and go back to grooming Spades.

  "You're forgiven, mostly. You four scared me." Spades, Diamond and Heart all buried themselves into my fur. I sighed. "Why did you leave?" Jack swatted at me as I leaned over him. I glared at my adoptive son and continued to groom him.

  "We found it." I stopped and looked at Spades.

  "Found what?" Spades was bouncing up and down.

  "We found the Lake of Tears."

I looked at Cheshire. "They're better at tracking that you Chessie."
