"What is he doing here!?"

Lance POV)

Why is he here? And in this poor condition? It couldn't have been from the net I freed him from.... Poachers maybe?

"Um Shiro, why is there a mermaid in our circus tent?"

Shiro looked at me then looked back at the merman it seemed like he couldn't find the words for it
"Um well you see lance it so happens that this creature needed an um...... I'll cut it short, these poachers were out hunting exotic fish and so happens to snag him with one of their many spears....they sold him to an underground exotic animal ring".

I paused as everything went through my head wait "wait Shiro why were you at that place?"
He paused and looked down.

"I needed another animal for our act..."
I furrowed my brows,
"You illegally bought a merman!?"
His head hung low in shame.

"I wasn't planning to buy him, but I saw his terrible condition and thought he would benefit from us instead of them...... I do have good intentions lance"
I softened my glare and looked back at the merman, he was mad and looking around probably to try to find an escape route.

I got closer to his tank, he stiffened in a defense manner.

"Look, I'm sorry you got caught in a net and poached, but you're here and safer with us currently" he stared at me.

He probably doesn't speak our language
I sighed "okay everyone if we want him to live and get better we need to gather these things!... Shiro gets that chain off his neck and tail... Allura you go gather towels for us to get the chains off we need to pull him out, hunk you prepare sushi for him and Pidge try to see if you can communicate with him"
They all nodded and ran off.

Shiro pulled the key out of his pocket and waited for Allura to get towels hunk was preparing the food and Pidge was doing research.

Once everyone was back in the tent, we prepared for the merman to fight.

Keith pov)

Everyone was talking to each other while I looked for an escape route, sadly there were none I could get to while I was stuck in this box.

Suddenly, everyone ran out of the room and came back with strange-looking Items They gathered around my box and reached for me. I tried to get out of the way I failed of course, and I was hauled out of my box I started to flap around to make them let go, yes I could breathe air.

They all sighed and wrapped the weird rough cloth around me. The tan human was behind me and holding the strange rough cloth around my arms I tried to wiggle free, but he kept his grip, I thought humans were weak!

The man with the white tip at the end of his black hair held up a strange-looking item, he put it near the strange net on my tail.

I swished my tail making him fall on his butt, the one behind me giggled I headbutted him causing him to scowl in pain. They held me down harder and unlocked the net on my tail there was a bruised ring around it, but it was off me, they did the same to my neck.

I stared at them, They helped me but of course they are Going to want something in return they always do,
Everyone smiled at each other and the tan human behind me released me they put me back into my box and left the room turning off the lights
