Pilot

(Takes place a few months before the first episode of Your Lie in April.)

The morning sun slowly crept up the small city. It's golden rays washed over the city and valleys. A warm spring morning greeted the city. The sun shined as it hit a house. This particular house belonged to Y/N Rogers.

He was a (tall/average/short) height, with smooth (hair color) colored hair, and had (skin color). He was also the friendliest male you could meet. He was creative, unconventional, kind, caring, supportive, and empathetic.

The light from the sun crept into the house through the blinds and shined down onto Y/N's face. Y/N's eyes slowly opened up and fluttered open.

Y/N leaned up and yawned softly. He rubbed his eyes gently as he got out of bed. He was dressed in red flannel pajamas. He got up and walked to the bathroom. He removed his clothing and stepped into the shower. He turned the water to (hot/warm/cold) and began to wash himself. As he was washing, he began to hum a tune to himself.

It was one of those tunes that one would hum yo themselves if they were board, lonely, or just wanted to make up a song. He hummed it to himself as he was washing his hair.

"Say. That's pretty catchy. Just needs some words to go with it." He said to himself as he was washing himself.

Once he was done washing, he exited the shower and dried himself off. He dressed up in a white shirt, red sweater, and blue pants. He made his way downstairs. He lived in a two story house, but he preferred to live in something smaller.

He didn't live alone though. He lived with his live in nanny. Mitchell. She had been hired by Y/N's parents to watch over Y/N. Y/N still helped her whenever he could. She was a woman in her mid twenties with coconut brown hair and aqua blue eyes. She took care of Y/N as if he was her son. She is a pragmatic and cautious young woman, who devotes a great deal of her time towards taking care of Y/N. Loyal and kind to those she cares for, but short on patience and trust.

Y/N walked into the kitchen and saw Mitchell mumbling in frustration. She was having trouble working the toaster.

"Dame toaster. Worked fine yesterday, so whys today any different?" Mitchell mumbled in annoyance as she was trying to fix the broken toaster. She was preparing toast for herself and Y/N.

"Y/N's parents are a doctor and an psychiatrist, yet they won't pay for a new toaster." Mitchell mumbled in annoyance.

"Mitchell?" Y/N asked her as he nervously tapped in her shoulder. Mitchell calmed down and looked over at Y/N.

"Oh. Morning Y/N." She said to him.

"Good morning to you as well, Mitchell. Need any help?" Y/N asked her kindly. Mitchell appreciated the offer, but it wouldn't feel right.

"Thanks kid, but no thank you. I'm your nanny. It's my job to take care of you." She said with a smile and ruffled Y/N's hair.

"But your always working by yourself. Let me help you out. It's much better with two working together." Y/N said. "Plus, your six months pregnant. You need as much help as you can get." Y/N said to her.

Mitchell was six months pregnant. She never talked about who the father was. All she said was that he was gone.

"Just...well. Turn on the TV and put on something nice." Mitchell said to Y/N.

"I'll still help make the hot chocolate." Y/N said as he walked to the cabinets and pulled out the hot chocolate packets. Mitchell smiled and rolled her eyes.

"Always trying to help when he can. Nice kid. Don't see how's he's related to his parents." Mitchell thought to herself as she went to cook bacon. Y/N put the milk in the microwave to heat up. He turned on the TV and a commercial popped up on the TV.

The commercial started out innocently. "I love being a kid. I got my whole life ahead of me." The boy said. Just then, suddenly (And I do mean suddenly.) a giant crocodile appeared out of nowhere and lunged at the boy. "NOOOOOOO!" The boy said in a rather bad acting way, as he was violently ripped to shreds.

"Holy ssssshoot." Mitchell said as she was about to say another word that began with an s.

Y/N covered his mouth in horror at the commercial. His eyes were wide and he let out a whimper. The commercial then cut to the bloody street as text appeared. "Look both ways before crossing the street." Y/N immediately changed the channel.

"Good gracious. All that for just a safety ad. Yes, public safety is important, but that seems a little extreme for a advertisement on public safety. Plus, I've lived in this city for years, and never once have we had a crocodile problem." Y/N said.

He turned on the news, but nothing good was on. Everyday it was the same thing. Murder, rape, racism, sexism, and affairs. And about seventy five percent of the story's were either not true or misunderstanding's, or overly exaggerated. Y/N changed the channel and sighed sadly. He often wished he could make a TV show. A show that could show the good things in life.

"So much violence in the world. You never see anything positive anymore. Why won't the news show anything positive anymore? After all, a positive mindset brings positive things." He said to himself. He remembered one time when he sent a few tapes of positive story's to the news station. Such as a high school graduate proposing to her boyfriend during her graduation speech, and him saying yes. Another was of a brother and his girlfriend who dressed up as Spider-Man and Wonder Woman for the brothers little sister and other kids at a children's hospital. Another was of a woman who gave birth to twins and it ended up curing her from a illness.

When Y/N gave the story's to the news station, and he was asked to leave. All they told was the story's were "not good enough."

"That's the problem with the media nowadays. Everyone wants something dark and depressing. That's why I don't read romance novels anymore. The love interest always dies." Mitchell said as she was cooking the bacon.

After breakfast, Y/N walked in the living room with a cup of warm hot chocolate milk. As he walked, he whistled the same tune that he sung in the shower and as he got dressed. He liked the tune but he didn't have any words to go with it.

He rubbed his head as he was thinking about the song. He sat down on the couch and got his notebook. He looked at the notebook. He looked at the title "The Neighborhood of Make believe." It was a TV show idea that he had.

The Neighborhood of Make-Believe is a kingdom ruled by King Friday XIII. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe had many landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, King Friday's Castle, Trolley Tracks, a Rocking Chair Factory, and the Great Oak Tree.

He also had a variety of characters in this show idea. King Friday XIII, Queen Sara Saturday, baby Prince Tuesday, X the Owl, Henrietta Pussycat, Lady Elaine Fairchilde, Daniel Stripèd Tiger, Cornflake S. Pecially, Betty Okonak Templeton-Jones, James Michael Jones, Carrie Dell Okonak Templeton-Jones, and Lady Aberlin. He was still thinking of characters and open to suggestions.

The episodes he wrote revolved around the characters going on adventures, learning new things, and going over various topics, like taking the viewer on tours of factories, demonstrating experiments, crafts, and music, and interacting with friends.

Y/N liked the idea of this show. This show was simply doing what Y/N believed was most important for children – helping them to understand the changing world around them, and to give them a safe neighborhood where they can be their true selves.

Soon Mitchell walked into the living room wearing a white jacket, a green button down shirt, and black jean pants.

"Hey Y/N? I gotta run by the flower shop and the grocery store, real quick. Wanna tag along?" Mitchell asked Y/N.

"Sure thing." Y/N said as he got up from the couch and put up his notebook. He got up and walked with Mitchell to the car.

"Alright, so we need flowers. At the store, we need cheese, a new toaster, bread, pasta sauce, pizza, and food for the week. Along with a few baby things." Mitchell listed off.

"Sounds simple enough." Y/N said to her.

"Quick question, why are we stopping by the flower shop?" Y/N asked as Michelle looked as though she was trying to think of an excuse.

"Humm...I was thinking we could plant some rose's." She quickly said. "No I'm not making up an excuse to go visit that cute woman named Jennifer who works at the counter." She quickly said as she was blushing.

Y/N smiled. He was well aware that Mitchell had a crush on Jennifer. Jennifer was a blonde haired woman with emerald green eyes. She was kind, patient, sweet, and loved to tell jokes.

A fourteen year old girl was making her way to the flower shop. She was about average height for a 14-year-old and has a slender figure. She has blonde wavy hair that reaches down her waist and beautiful pale indigo eyes. She was also carrying a violin lovely pink suitcase.

This girl is Kaori Miyazono. Kaori is a free-spirited violinist whose playing style reflects on her personality. She is independent, unpredictable, and short-tempered. It is also touched upon that she is passive aggressive at times. Kaori likes to depend on herself and only herself, but is very outgoing and can be seen as more of a support for others.

Her parents wedding anniversary was coming up and she was going to get flowers for the occasion. She took a bus to get there. Soon she arrived at the shop. It was a small shop that was painted green. The words "Mr Greens Flower Shop." were painted in yellow at the top of the building. She walked into the shop. There she would meet Y/N Rogers.

Mitchell's voice actress: Same actress who voices Midnight from MHA.
