Rayon looked like he was getting sicker and sicker each day. The disease he had caught was no fast worker, but for a halfway full grown wolf, he was actually fighting it with great force. Satren says if he rests, he will have the chance of death, so sleeping is hard to get through for him. Aspyn was worried about if he would slip in his sleep and die. She dispised the thought but the way Rayon looked, she was going to be thinking about it ten times more.
   "Satren, how did you even find out about the disease?" Rayon asked his friend.
   "I just have a way of knowing. And because I found a human book about a disease like this."
Satren replied
  "That just seems like you have the ability to read. Man I kinda wish you hadn't told me." Rayon said.
  "Well don't worry I'll try to do something about it." Satren gave his word.
   Satren looked through the book and saw the lifespan left. He breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Rayon and grinned.
   "Good news?" Rayon perked up.
  "Yes, you have two weeks to live!" Satren said happily.
  "How the hell is that good news Satren!?" Aspyn blurted out .
  "Aspyn calm down let him finish speaking." Rayon said to her.
  "That's more than enough time for me to make an antidote for the disease!" Satren chuckled.
   "Really!? Oh my goodness thank you Satren!" Rayon jumped with excitement.
  "You are awesome Satren!" Aspyn tackled him.
   "Let's go for a walk! I'm feeling pumped for a while now that I know I won't be dying anytime soon!" Rayon ran out of the cave.
   "Come on Satren! Let's go!" Aspyn bolted after Rayon.
  "Hey Wait up! I wasn't ready you guys!!" Satren dashed after them.
   I'm glad he's happy. He gets another chance to live, and I'm actually the cause! This is so awesome! Satren thought to himself, then he smacked into a tree. He shook his head and looked at the tree and saw some gnarly claw marks on it.
   "What is this animal?" Satren asked himself. He touched the marks and realizes that they were just made recently.
   "That means whatever made these marks is still around the area we are . . ." He said to himself.
   "Satren!" Aspyn's scream tore through the forest.
   Satren heard her and bursted with speed as he ran towards the sound of her voice. He found her and Rayon face to face with a giant bear. His ears dropped but he found himself running at the bear. He head butted it into a tree and the tree tumbled on top of it. Satren backed up next to Aspyn and Rayon and smiled at their grateful expressions. But they quickly turned into fearful ones as Satren turned and saw the bear staggering back to it's feet. Rayon lunged for the bear but got smacked into a rock.
   "Rayon! I'm gonna kill you bear!" Aspyn roared and clawed the bear. The bear smashed her into the ground and she coughed up blood.
  "Aspyn! You're going to pay for this you stinking omnivore!" Satren ran to the bear and back leg kicked it. The bear picked him up then slammed him to rocks. He crashed then shot back up, lunging towards the bear, who was advancing on Rayon.
   "No!" Satren yelled but it was too late. The bear grabbed Rayon then tossed him into the rocks with a lot of force. The rocks exploded as Rayon crashed into them. They crumbled and crushed him under their weight.
   "NOOOO! RAYON! ARGH!" Aspyn and Satren said simultaneously and both clawed the bear with nothing but absolute rage. They made blood marks slash through it's fur and soon penetrated the skin. The bear started to die off. They continued to claw it till it finally died. They huffed for breath then went to free Rayon from his rocky prison. He reached a paw out and pulled himself out, covered in blood and bruises.
   "I can really take a beating huh guys . . ." He fainted.
   "Rayon!" They laid him down and exchanged looks.
   If this beating from a bear did anything to effect his chance of survival, they would be saying goodbye to their most closest friend . . .
