~Chapter Five~

Lost

Twigs and branches swung into my face snow from them whipping into it as well as I ran through the now dark forest the faint sound of my feet crunching on the snow followed by running feet that weren't mine my legs felt as if they weren't there they just knew not to stop running. I would occasionally  skid as I made my way around the unknown area I had no choice but to continue.

I was being tracked and didn't know by who or what. They stayed glued to my heels though which was good I had them right under my thumb I could take them anywhere I wanted since they were so intent on keeping up with me.

 Coming upon an open secluded spot my feet halted ready to face my opponent as they weren't prepared for my stop and met my fist as it connected with their jaw while caught off guard I crouched down low sliding my leg tactfully behind them dropping them to the ground sending snow flying up around where they landed. My claws shot out from my fingers tip slashing at the chest of my follower my claws leaving huge gashes across his body he struggled against my hands as they wrapped around his head yanking it clean off. A messy kill but it made sure he was dead.

I stood hunched over his body my breath flowing from my mouth like smoke in front of my face I bent down to examine the body shoving my hands into any pocket this guy had on him he wasn't Aniwaya I'd recognize him "Come on you've got something on you" just when I thought there was nothing a thin rectangular object hit my fingertips removing it out of his pocket my eyes were looking down  at a business card. My eyebrows furrowed as I sighed flipping it over and back a few times "So much for a clue" I tossed it near his body and stood tugging my jacket closer to me. I licked my lips as the cold air was starting to dry them. My phone vibrated and I thought I had  signal for a moment my eyes searched the screen before I roughly shoved it back inside of my pocket.

I still hadn't seen  Noah anywhere or Velkar we made a terrible search party Nate wouldn't leave us out here. He'd come. Those thoughts were the only thing that kept my feet trudging along the snowy ground. I was lost but I'd find my way soon enough.
