I had no idea what the Hard Way entailed.
Turns out it wasn't that hard. Wolf gave me two pieces of DNA: some fur off her wolf-ears, and one of her regular hairs. Told me to test them in a microscope- and did I want to borrow hers? Appearabtly she got to keep a trinket and she really liked this microscope.
I thought that was dumb.
She shoulda kept a a phone or a GPS. Or a map.

I was fairly sure the SmartHouse had one, so I declined.
I was right, by the way, about the SmartHouse microscope. But that's beside the point. (but in you fACE, WOLF!)

Anyway.
The ear fur had wolf DNA– but the hair was totally human.
Ooookay. But there had to be a scientific explanation.
She was not wolf-human.
That's not possible.

Is it?
It would magic, which isn't real.
She must be faking– I just need to figure out how.
