Description: Remus gets annoyed when he finds dog hair everywhere.

Story:

Remus used to get annoyed when he found the dog hair.

It had a knack for getting absolutely everywhere. Sirius and Remus got a cottage together after Hogwarts and Sirius didn't even turn into Snuffles all that often and yet there was hair all over the place.

Remus liked to keep a clean house, but Sirius didn't care all that much. Remus knew this about Sirius already though, of course. He'd spent seven years living in a dorm with him, after all.

One day Remus's pen rolled under the couch and he moved the furniture to grab it and found a whole bleeding farm of dust bunnies made of black dog fur and he had to count to ten, recalling all the times Sirius had assured him that he swept up all the fur.

He would find clumps of it all over the place and of course it stood out because it was black clumps of fur and they had hard floor in some rooms and white carpet in others.

As the war progressed and the two spent less and less time at home, Remus didn't have time to clean up the dog hair and it just frustrated him more than anything when all he wanted to do was relax and pass out after a long day and he'd find more hair and not have the energy to clean it up.

And then Halloween passed by and he was all alone. Sirius had been arrested for the murders of all of his closest friends.

Remus used to be annoyed when he found the dog hair.

Now it just made him sad.
