AllisonxTyler ~The Drums And My Heart Both Beat For You~

*Allison's POV*

Almost the end of senior year. Not much longer until we have to graduate and then continue on with our lives. Go to college, move out, get jobs, pay bills and all that other fun adult stuff. I sat in tech ed with my best friend Tyler, or as I like to call him sometimes, Brotato. He was a minecraft YouTuber and his YouTube name was MunchingBrotato so I thought Brotato was a cute nick name. Anyway, we sat in tech ed not really paying attention to the teacher, playing some minecraft. The tech ed teacher was awesome and allowed us to play on other servers. So while we were supposed to be listening we were playing mini games on a server. Hunger Games to be exact. I was running around looting chests. I had an iron chest plate and pant, a budder helmet and chain mail boots. My weapon right now was an iron axe but I was determined to get a diamond sword. I already had one diamond and a stick, I just needed the other diamond and run to the center.

"I'm gonna get you Allison." Tyler whispered trying to scare me.

"In your dreams Brotat." I replied grinning as I snuck up behind someone looting a chest with only leather armor. I hit him a few times with my axe before they could react killing them. Dropping on the ground the other diamond!

My grin widened as I picked it up wen sprinted back to spawn. I quickly crafted the electric blue sword and put it in my hot bar next to my iron axe so I could trick people making them think I only had an axe for a weapon.

Suddenly the message appeared 'Type /deathmatch to start the death match.' In the chat. I didn't even need to type, for as soon as it popped up up someone else typed the command and the count down began. I just ran around spawn waiting for it to begin.

The count down soon hit 1 and I was teleported up to where I spawned. I looked around, there were three other players including Tyler. I'd kill him last. I rushed at one of the other players who was trying to shoot me with a bow. Carefully dodging each arrow and I killed him with one hit of my axe. Guess he was low on hearts when we started. I ran over to Tyler ready to help him but as I got half way there he already killed the other player.

"Take that neeeeeerrrrrd" he said in one of his silly voices making me giggle.

"Alright, heal up, then we battle." I told him.

"Okay." He replied and he started running around while eating an apple. After about a minute he was all healed.

"Alright, ready?" I asked.

"Yup." He said popping the P.

"Let the battle commence."

We stood on opposite sides of the room and we ran at each other. He had an iron sword and I had my iron axe in hand but as we got a few blocks away I switched to my diamond sword.

"What?!" He whisper yelled. "You have a diamond sword?!"

"Yup." I replied grinning like an idiot. I swung a few more times and his drops exploded signifying I had won. It got close though, I only had 1 1/2 hearts. "I win." I said looking at him.

"I call hacks."

"Not my fault you suck at this game."

"Wow, that really hurt my feelings." He said putting on a fake pout. I decided to tease him so I took his glasses and put them on my head.

His pout turned into an oh face as he did nothing to take them back. I giggled and put them back on his face. He adjusted them and grinned.

"You're goofy." I told him.

"Maybe so, but then I am the king of goofy." He said proudly putting his hand on his heart making me laugh.

The teacher shushed us and we exited out of the mini game server and joined up the class server and continued working on our house.

The bell rang telling us it was time for our last class of the day. Band class. I leapt out of my seat throwing my backpack on. While Tyler got up slower slinging his backpack over his shoulder, and we rushed to the band room.

Tyler and I pulled out our instruments, Tyler played a baritone and I played the tuba. I sat in my spot and adjusted my instrument while Tyler sat next to me and adjusted his.

"Oh my gosh. This is so heavy." Tyler whined like a lil kid.

"Oh my gosh. You poor baby. And you have the smaller instrument." I mocked.

He smiled his goofy smile and the band director shushed us and we started to warm up and play our songs. Well really they were just random songs that were picked out seeing our concerts were all done for the year. Today we played 'The Star Wars Theme', 'The Harry Potter Theme' and some march I didn't remember the name too.

After we finished the songs, we had five minutes left to chat and put our instruments away. I put my tuba in it's locker and watched as Tyler put his baritone away. The bell rang saying that the day was over so now Tyler and I were gonna walk home together as we lived in the same neighborhood. I walked over to him.

"Ready to go home?" I asked.

"Yep." He replied throwing his bag over his shoulders. "Oh, I had something to ask you. Tomorrow is senior ditch day. Wanna come to Six Flags? All our friends are going."

"Sure! Sounds fun!"

"Awesome! I'll pick you up. Bring a swimsuit and towel. They have a huge water park."

"Ok!"

He smiled and we left school and started walking home talking about future and summer plans. Before I left to go in my house Tyler stopped me.

"Hey Allison?"

"Yeah?"

"I have a riddle for you."

"Ok. Shoot."

"What do drums and a heart have in common? Answer me some time tomorrow. See you in the morning!" He said giving me a hug and we both went home, leaving me to think about his riddle. I had no idea. What do they have in common?

The next morning I slept in about 2 hours later than usual. Which was amazing. I woke up at about 8:00. I wasn't sure what time Tyler would be here so I started getting ready. I put my turquoise bikini on under my outfit which was a purple t-shirt and jean shorts. I packed another outfit for after the water park. Don't wanna wear wet stuff all day. I quickly brushed out my hair and threw it up in a pony tail when the doorbell rang. I jogged downstairs and opened my door to Tyler.

"Morning!" He said happily.

"Hi!" I replied smiling.

"You ready to go?"

"Yup! Just let me grab something to eat." I said picking up my towel and plastic bag and running to my kitchen. I grabbed a granola bar and went back by Tyler.

"Nice bag." He said sarcastically.

"Thank you. It is the hit of latest fashion." I replied.

He laughed his silly laugh which always made me smile. "Come on." He said holding out his hand. I took it and he led me out to his car, which was a black Camry. Kyle sat in the back seat and in a dark blue Honda behind the Camry was Steven, Chris and Shelby. Tyler opened the passenger side for me. I sat inside and said hello to Kyle as Tyler sat in the drivers seat.

"Alright, let's go." Tyler said putting on his seat belt and started driving to Six Flags. As we went, we listened to Kyle telling random and funny stories every so often Tyler jumping in with his aunt Janet voice which was always hilarious. So let's say there was a lot of laughing on the course of this two hour ride.

Two hours later we arrived at the Six Flags parking lot. Surprisingly it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. We parked next to each other and headed to the gate to get our passes. Tyler paid for me, Kyle and himself. While Steven payed for himself, Shelby and Chris. We started at the water park so we rented one of those big lockers and left our clothes and valuables in it.

We went to the water park and we went down every water slide we could. Yelling and having a blast. I felt like a lil kid again. I didn't think it could get any better. A few hours later, Shelby, Kyle, Chris and Steven all got in line for a large raft ride that only held four people so Tyler and I waited and relaxed on the splash pad with the water spouts. We started talking about band as it was out favorite class and what concerts and songs we liked the best this year. Well I did a lot of the talking while he listened smiling. I couldn't lie. I really liked Tyler. Maybe a little more than a friend. We'd known each other for a long time so I guess that was natural.

"Hey Allison." Tyler said finally talking in this conversation. "Can you play any other instruments?" He asked.

"Hmmm... I can play piano... Ummm..." I paused thinking of what other instruments I knew how to play when my thoughts were cut off by him kissing me.

I looked in his eyes, surprised but I also felt my cheeks turn red and warm even through the cool water.

"Yesterday... I asked you what do a heart and drum have in common. Do you have answer?" He asked softly putting an arm around me.

"Umm... I don't know. I've been having so much fun I kinda forgot about the riddle." I replied. "But I'm not sure."

He chuckled and held me close. "Well in my case... They both beat for you." He said and kissed me again.

I kissed back. Best. Day. Ever.
