A what if Wolf and the bad guys managed to get the golden dolphin at the gala and left without being caught. I decided to rewrite this one because it has been requested and it's one of my favorites.

Wolf and the bad guys were on the way to the gala. 

''I got to hand it to ya Wolf you're a real artist.'' Snake complimented.

Wolf smiles and sat back. He was excited about seeing Diane and nervous about what they were gonna pull and this time he had no excuse not to complete it.

The car stopped and the door opened as Professor Marmalade was there opening the door.

''This is the night all eyes will be on you not me.'' Marmalade replied as the bad guys got out of the car.

''I'd like you to introduce THE GOOD GUYS!'' Marmalade replied.

Everyone clapped for them as they all went in.

''Just mingle guys.'' Wolf replied.

The bad guys all did their own thing, and Wolf was walking around wanting to see Diane but also nervous.

He was cornered by some people.

''It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Wolf.'' One replied.

''The pleasure is all mine.'' Wolf replied and looked up and away from the crowd and saw Diane and she smiles and waves at him.

''Mr. Wolf, I loved your video can I get a picture of you for my daughter?'' Asked a mom.

Wolf gulped. She looked so beautiful, and he wanted to wave and smile at her, but it was hard knowing he had lied to her and that what he was going to do was going to ruin the one good relationship he had with someone other then his friends.

''I-I'll get back to you on that.'' Wolf replied as he turned away not waving or looking at Diane.

She watched him with an eyebrow raised and her ears down. Wolf couldn't look at Diane for once in his adult life he was ashamed to even look at someone.

Later Snake was about to get the code when Chief grabbed him not realizing it was Snake. Pirahna sang Good Tonight to get Chief Misty's attention.

Wolf was happy to see the plan working as he winks at Pirahna.

''Mr. Wolf.'' Diane said right in his ear.

''Diane! Yeah, what a surprise.'' He gulps

''You know if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were ignoring me.'' She giggles.

''Why would I do that?" He asked trying to play it cool but being nervous.

''Ok but I'm a little disappointed I was hoping you were gonna ask me to dance.'' She winks walking away.

Wolf gulps and decided to have some fun with her.

They were dancing and showing off their moves, Wolf and Diane were the main part of the dance, and the bad guys were happy to see him distracting Diane, but Snake was watching them and had a feeling there might be more between his buddy Wolf and Diane.

Wolf started showing off his dance moves as Diane giggles and dances with him. Close to the end Wolf dips Diane and lifts her up as they look at each other.

''So, how does it feel to have everyone not fear you for a change?'' She asked.

''It feels good, and Diane...'' He wanted to confess but he gave her back her ring. ''It belongs to you.''

She smiles and hugs him. ''I'm so proud of you Wolf. I knew there was good inside of you.''

This made Wolf feel guilty and he set her down smiling.

Later they finished as he dipped her on stage and then came time for the golden dolphin to be awarded.

Wolf gave a speech and hit the button as the lights went off Snake switched the dolphin as the lights came on and the chief gave the dolphin to Marmalade.

''It's my honor and privilege to grant the bad guys a full pardon of their crimes.'' Diane announced.

Everyone cheered at the end when everyone was clearing the bad guys were leaving and Wolf looked back at Diane who was talking to a couple.

''Come on Wolf.'' Snake replied as he pulls the wolf with him.

They got into their car and Wolf saw Diane looking around and he felt the pit in his stomach as he drove.

It was quiet until they were out of the city when they all cheered save for Wolf.

''WE DID IT!!!'' Shark shouted.

''YES, WE DID!'' Webs screams.

''And nobody knows anything!'' Shouted Pirahna.

''Wolf you were great, and all because of you we pulled it off.'' Snake smiled placing his tail on Wolf's back.

He nodded with his shades on. ''Yeah, we did.''

''Are you ok?'' Asked Snake.

''Yeah, just a bit tired is all.'' He replied.

They drove until they got to Arizona it was around 11pm and they checked in at a motel and they got two rooms next to each other and they all went into where Wolf and Snake were staying.

''Say let's go to the bars to celebrate!'' Shouted Shark.

''Heck yeah! Let's go!'' Webs smiles.

''Come on Wolf!'' Shark replied.

''No thanks, I'm tired and besides we have to leave in the morning one of us has to be sober.'' Wolf replied.

The three walked to the car as Snake looked at Wolf.

''Hey, you ok buddy?'' He asked.

''Yeah, like I said tired. Go enjoy and take a couple shots for me.'' Wolf smiled.

Snake had a feeling something was more was up, but he would let Wolf tell him when he was ready.

''Alright pal take it easy.'' Snake replied as he left.

Wolf laid there on the bed and sighed as he turned on the tv and sighed. He took off his jacket and shirt as he saw the news of the gala being a success and it showed him and Diane dancing, and he noticed the way Diane was smiling, and he looked down and turned off the tv and went out the back sliding door to where the pool was, and he opened the gate closing it as he sat on one of the pool chairs and he placed his head in his paws.

''Why did I do that? I really wanted to be a good guy but now I'm nothing but a liar and fraud... and I lost the one person who made me happy and for what? My friends... god she probably hates me.'' He sighed.

''Why don't you ask her?'' A voice replied.

Wolf looked up and turned slightly to see Diane leaning on the gate as she came over.

''D-Diane?''

''Yeah, it's me Wolf.'' She replied sitting on the end of the lounge chair.

They were quiet and she looked at him. ''So, I see you decided to stay here huh? Going on a trip?'' She asked.

''Eh the gang wanted to get away from L.A...'' Wolf answered leaning forward.

''Oh, I see. Sounds like fun.'' Diane shrugged.

''Look Diane... there something I need to tell you.'' He started.

''You took the real golden dolphin and left a replica there, I know.'' She responded and looked at him.

Wolf raised an eyebrow. ''How did you know?''

''There are markings on the statue, and I didn't see it on there.'' She replied.

Wolf shook his head. ''Ahh well if you want, I can give it back and if your gonna arrest anyone arrest me it was my idea from the beginning but leave the others.'' Wolf said waiting to hear sirens.

''Well, the cops aren't coming, and you guys are free of your crimes... all everyone knows is Marmalade got the golden dolphin. But that's not why I'm here.'' She said with a half-smile.

''Then why?'' He asked.

''I wanted to know if you had feelings for me.'' She answered.

He took her paw and looks at her. ''Yes, I do... I get it if you don't feel the same way after I lied and ran away.

She placed a finger on his lip. ''You guys and me are the only ones who know what really happened and it's going to stay that way.'' 

She then leans in and kisses him on the lips. He kisses back as his tail wags, and they pulled away.

''I have feelings for you Wolf, I think since I first met you and tonight, I came to admit I love you and I want us to be together. I was hoping you would really be a good guy and if you kept that then we could have a shot.'' She replied.

''I do want that, so much Diane... I'm willing to right the wrong.'' He took both of her hands looking into her eyes.

''I know... but this running off bothers me and if we are to work, we have to be honest with each other.'' She replied.

''Totally I can do that.'' He smiles as he pulls her to his lap.

''Alright then.'' She smiles as they share a kiss and pull away.

''I see, so how did you find us?'' He asked.

''Well, when I couldn't find you, I followed the tracker I put in your pocket.'' She winks.

''Clever.'' He smirks.

''I wanted to tell you, and I had a feeling you would bolt.'' She winks.

''I'm glad you came.'' He smiles.

She lays on him. ''Same, but it's getting late, and I need to get back.''

He looked around. ''It's night and it was a 5 hour drive you could stay here?''

''Yeah, but unlike you I have to work, but you could come back tonight and stay with me.'' She tried.

The guys are out drinking, and I can't leave them.'' He replied.

''Well, I got my motor bike, and we can get back that way and they can come back or go somewhere else.'' She replied.

''Sure Shark and Snake know how to drive.'' Wolf replied as he went into the room and got his jacket and put on his shirt.

He wrote a note to Snake telling him it was safe to come back and he left with Diane as they went back to L.A to start a new life together.
