This takes place after the good guys get out of jail but before Wolf and Diane start dating.

''Come on one date please.'' Asked Wolf to the beautiful vixen that he was walking next to.

''I said no.'' She said as they continued walking.

''Why not? I've been good haven't stole or anything bad, and we are friends so why not?'' He asked again.

''Look, it's not you personally, I have an image to uphold, and standing up for you good guys has placed me in a bad area, where if anyone catches us together, they'll think we were sleeping together which is why I was pushing so hard to get you guys released and that is the last thing I want the media to get.'' Diane said going to her car.

''A wise person once told me, don't do it for them, do it for you. This is a change to write your own story.'' He quoted her. ''Plus, when do you care what the others think?''

She looked at him want to give in she was attracted to him, it wasn't just the media it was something else.

''We can go somewhere private just the two of us.'' He said coming up with a plan.

''Anytime a girl goes somewhere private with a guy it leads to something more then just dating and you have this, was it a one-night stand? It gets confusing and I'm not saying that I don't trust you. It's me I don't trust and well let's keep it at that.'' She said as they reached her car.

''Please, Diane. Come on one date and if you hate it we won't do it again and I promise I won't touch you or so anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.'' He pleaded.

He knew she liked him; she said it before so why was a date so hard for her?

''You going to the gala?'' She asked.

''Of course, I have to attend these fancy parties every now and again. How about we have a date there. Plenty of people will be around and we can get to know each other.'' He suggested.

She smiled and took his paw. ''I'm going to be busy talking and greeting everyone Wolf, it won't work.'' She said.

A couple of girls passed by and looked at Wolf who winked and they walked away giggling. Diane saw this and felt very jealous of that. Wolf noticed this and was puzzled by it.

''I'll see you at the Gala tomorrow.'' She said and let go of his paw and got in driving off.

Wolf sighed and went to his car; he wasn't giving up. One way or another he would get her. He wondered what he could do to make her run up and beg him to go out, nothing would work... He got an idea and grinned taking off home to find a number.

The next evening at the gala, Diane arrived wearing a green jumper dress. (Like her blue one)

She was anxious to see Wolf. She had it bad for him and wanted to be with him but for now she could only watch. him.

She was talking to a couple when she saw Wolf showed up with the good guys and her heart leapt to see Wolf. He was walking over, and she smiled turning to face him about to say hi, when a beautiful white wolf in a sparkling blue dress came over and hugged him as he hugged her back.

''Tara! It's wonderful to see you!'' He said excitedly.

''You two, I'm so happy you called and asked me to come.'' She grinned.

Diane felt her heart slide down to her stomach watching these two embraces. She wanted to turn away but didn't and felt anger and jealously flow up.

Wolf and Tara then looked in the direction of Diane and saw she looked flustered and upset.

''I think it's working.'' She said.

''Same.'' He smiled and pulled Tara with him.

The good guys were mingling with others. Wolf finally found Diane and went over to her.

''Madam Governor.'' He called.

She turned around with a smile on her face. ''Hello Mr. Wolf, who's your friend?''

''Oh, this is Tara, she an old friend of mine coming to visit and I thought I'd bring her.'' He said smirking.

''Oh, it's a pleasure to meet the Governor. Wolfy here has told me so much about you.'' She clung to his arm.

''Oh, well pleasure to meet you.'' Diane held out her paw as they shook.

''Music is starting care to dance?'' Asked Mr. Wolf to Tara.

''Yes please.'' She grinned and pulled him to the dance floor both ignoring Diane.

The vixen felt her heart breaking and watched them dance together both laughing, she wanted to be the one in his arms. After the song was over Diane went outside, she couldn't stand to see them hugging and holding each other, but what set her off was when Tara kissed Wolf's cheek.

She went to the entrance of the gala doors and walked down the stairs to her car. ''Hey Diane wait up.'' She heard his voice, and she continued walking.

''Hey, wait I want to talk to you.'' He said and grabbed her paw as she turned around frowning.

''What, do you want?'' She asked quietly.

''Well, I was going to ask you to dance with me.'' He said rubbing the back of his head.

''Why not your girlfriend?'' She asked.

''She's taking a break.'' He said.

''Well, I'm not in the mood.'' She said.

He pulled her to him as they were at the bottom step next to the statue. ''Diane, why are you upset?'' He asked.

''Me! I'm upset at myself Wolf, I told myself not to fall in love, but I have! And now I have to watch the wolf of my dreams dance with another girl!'' She shouted.

Wolf looked surprised and Diane's eyes widened at what she said, and she turned away.

''So, you do have feelings for me.'' He said knowing it.

''Yes! The reason why I said no isn't because of the media, I could care less of what they say. The way you act reminds me of my ex. He was just like you, charming, funny, makes a girl swoon... but in the end he accused me of cheating and cheated on me.'' She said with her head down.

Wolf felt bad with what he did. ''That's why I turn you down. I want to be with you... but I don't want to get hurt like that again.'' She said feeling her eyes water up.

''Diane... I will never do anything like that to you, I do love you and I just wanted to go on a date, nothing more. Do you see us going somewhere if we pursue this?'' He asked.

''Yes, I do see us going far, and I'm not afraid of being alone with you, I'm afraid of what has already happened and that I'm in love with you.'' She stated.

Both were quiet. ''I didn't know...'' He said.

''What does it matter anyway, go see Tara I'm going home.'' She said.

''No, don't.'' He turns her to him.

''She isn't my girlfriend she's a tourist and well she wanted to do something for me so yes, I came alone except for the good guys.'' He said.

''So anytime I say no, you're going to make me jealous?'' She frowned.

''No, I promise I won't.'' He said.

She looked at him and he pulls her in for a kiss. She is surprised and kisses back, both of them lost in the kiss and they pull away.

''Please come back and dance with me.'' He said.

''Alright, and yes, I will go out on a date with you.'' She smiled.

He kissed her cheek as they went back in to enjoy the gala.
