Ekud is the first Wolfenteer to not appear in the canon timeline at all. Instead, he and his group of friends come from an alternate reality where the apocalypse came about and wiped away most of humanity, the remaining survivors being evil counterparts of the characters in the "Honeycomb" timeline.

Ekud, being Duke's counterpart, is a mischievous and immoral person who only works to do what's best for himself.  After watching his old best friend betray him, he decided that friends weren't worth anything and instead formed a "team" with other survivors in order to help himself live.  In a search to find a better place to live, they jump into the "Honeycomb" timeline, where they meet their counterparts.  Ekud nearly kills their counterparts so they could live in the timeline instead, but is ultimately stopped and killed by one of his group members. 

As mentioned before, Ekud does not exist in the canon timeline.

Ekud does not have any close family members. His team consisted of Hpesoj, Ttam, Alli, and Iaryl.
