Eugene

"Can I have this?"
"Baby, you can have whatever you want," I smiled as she took all of the fabric she'd been eyeing and put it in the cart, "Is this what you want?"
"Very much so," she nodded, eagerly, "I have wanted so badly to make dresses for all of the women in my kingdom—or men if they want!"
I smirked. She was the kindest soul and I damned the ones who'd hurt her to hell.
"I love you."
"I love you, too.." she giggled like a teenager in love, "So, I want to,-"
"I will give you a shop," I told her, "I will give you all that you want and more."
"You already have.."

"You fucking whore!"
Eugene hit me over and over again just because I was kind to the vampire delivering packages.
"Stop! Please!"
I tried to crawl away, try to go get help, but no one was coming to help me.
No one was going to save me from Eugene.
"Please stop...oh gods stop!" Eugene mocked, grabbing my hair and dragging me across the floor, "Fucking vampire slut. I outta have my way with you right now, but I want a virgin on my wedding night. I want MY night with you to be special."
"You can't do this to me!" I sobbed as the blood rushed to my scalp. I felt my hair being ripped out in little patches, "I will tell!"
"Go ahead and fucking tell," Eugene snarled, "I don't care."
He tossed me onto the bed and crawled over me, trying his best to kiss me.
"NO!!!"
"You'll eventually give me what I want," he growled, his fangs protruding, "Just a nibble.."
Biting down on me, I kneed him in the crotch—only fueling his anger.
"Why are you doing this?!" I bawled, watching him limp away, "What did I do to you?!"
"You are nothing but a meal ticket to me," he said, "And you'll have my children...the title..the money..."
This wasn't real..this wasn't happening.
"I don't love you.."
He shook his head, "Feeling is mutual."

My blood was boiling.
She hadn't had a nightmare about Eugene until that night and I hated him even more.
Rolling over onto her stomach, her hand found mine and she took it, squeezing it tightly as she slept.
I focused on her beautiful face...her heart was mine, my heart was hers and I would never break it—never touch her the way that asshole had.
She'd told me a few things here and there about the abuse, but I could only see the extent of it in her dreams—her thoughts she accidentally let slip.
I linked Carver and Craig.
"The first sign of Eugene, we kill him. I don't care what is said—what is done. I don't care about treaties and protocol. He won't stop until he has her back and he'll stop at nothing to get her. Mind the forest, steady the troops...She will not be harmed ever again."
