The grooms men where already standing in a line waiting. I didn’t see Matias, which worried me. Sam was talking to a few people and welcoming and thanking them. The music started to play, Marlene wanted them to play a song by Bond Girls called Hymn.    

    First down the isle was her three bridesmaids, there gowns fluttered in the breeze. Pictures were being taking and people were smiling. I felt sick, I had to walk down next, please god don’t let me trip. Taking a deep breath I rounded the corner and started walking to the podium. Sam smiled at me, seeing me in a dress. I was caught with the sudden flash of over whelming heat, as I laid eyes on Matias. He was stunning in in the light suit with orange flowers. His hand folded in front of him, his eyes shifted in color and looked me up and down.

    My face blushed and I did my best to keep in a straight line. Standing in front of the other girls, we all watched as Marlene and her father walked slowly down the isle. Sam was beaming and I felt so happy for him. Her father stopped a few feet away from Sam and kissed her before handing her off to him. Holding hands uncle started speaking.

    “We have come together at the invitation of Sam and Marlene to celebrate the uniting of there love and happiness.” He kept talking, but my eyes were glue on Matias. My heart was pounding as he watched me as well. Her uncle asked them to say their vows, then turned to Matias.
    “The rings please” I pulled out the ring for Marlene and handed it to her. Matias took his out of his pocket. The two exchanged wedding rings and her uncles spoke again.

    “You may now kiss your bride” Smiling. Sam grinned and pulled her to him, spinning her around and dipping her into a kiss. The guest went crazy, and tones of pictures were taken. Clapping was heard all over. They walked down the isle holding hands. I followed with the others behind me. Walking into the house, I caught Sam half ways down her throat.
    “Wow” Turning around.
    “Sorry Luna” He smiled.
    “No, its cool” Laughing and helping Marlene.
    “Thank you Luna” She kissed my cheek.
    “No problem”
    “Everything is stunning”
    “No crying” pointing my finger at her. She nodded and laughed.

Outside everyone was talking and eating, a few were dancing and having a good time. A few kids played in the back part o the yard. Some of the chairs were brought over for the elderly to sit in. The music was playing a good song and it was perfect. Stepping out side I felt the sun hit my face, and smiled. Marlene and Sam walked back out and everyone clapped and whistled.
    Since we didn’t have a normal dinning hall to eat in, we all kind of hung outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Someone yelled “Speech” And Sam smiled putting down his drink and taking the microphone, everyone fell silent.

    “Okay, Hi. Umm haha I’m not good at this so I’ll make it short. Marlene, you are my everything. I will love you for the rest of my life, I will be the shoulder you cry on, the one who looks after you. I will give you everything you need and so much more. I am the luckiest man in the world, and I will show you how every day” Kissing her hand she started to cry. I got pushed into the middle by one of the Bridesmaids. Sam noticed, along with Marlene. I blushed cause I had something to say but was scared shitless.

    Handing me the Phone, I smiled.
    “Hi, I’m Luna Sam and Marlene’s friend. Umm” I was feeling eyes and felt sick. Sam gave me a reassuring smile and I continued.
    “Most of you know that Sam and I grew up together, we were thick as thieves. I got poor Sam into so much trouble. But he has been loyal to me, and I love him dearly. I am so happy he found you Marlene, you two are perfect for each other. Sam is a good man, and he will do good by you, I know cause I’ll kick his ass if he doesn’t” A few laughs as I wiped a tear off my face. “Marlene I am blessed to call you family and I think of you as my sister. When you two need me, I’ll be there no matter what. I love you both” She burst out into tears and I lost it hugging her.
    I was meted with a hug from Sam and a kiss.

    “Thank you Luna” He said fighting back tears. I nodded and every went back to eating and having a good time. I felt the rush of warm hands slid around my body.
    “You are stunning” He kissed my cheek and held me tight.
    “Where have you been” I said spinning around.
    “Flight delay” Seeing me worried.
    “Ohh, why didn’t you call?”
    “I did, several times. Your cell isn’t on you” Smiling. I felt stupid, I should of checked.
    “Come on” Taking my hand and walking me over to the food tables.
    “What?”
    “You need to eat, your pale” He started putting food on a plate and taking my hand again. Sitting in a chair he pulled me into his lap. Wrapping his arms around me and feeding me a strawberry.
    “Good?” Smiling over my shoulder.
    “Yes, thank you” I felt like crying, but smiled instead.

A little while later the cake was cut and they had a small food fight between themselves.
    “Get him Marlene” I yelled and he looked at me with pure shock letting her smear him all over the left side. I burst out laughing and she giggled as he licked some off his face.
    “Your gunna get it now” Picking up a piece of cake and chasing her. He ended up getting her as well, and they went inside to get clean. I split a piece of cake with Matias which he seemed to enjoy me feeding him.

    “You got a piece right there” I said pointing to his upper lip.
    “There” trying to get it.
    “Nope” Giggling He tried again and failed.
    “Here” Whispering and leaning in to lick the frosting off his face. He growled a little and turned to kiss me.
    “Hey get a room” Sam yelled grinning as he held her.
    “Can we borrow yours” Matias yelled back, I slapped his arm.
    “Matias” He laughed. Picking me up and carefully putting me down. Taking my hand and walking me to the dance floor.
    “Can I have this dance” Slipping his hand behind his back and asked with the other for mine.
    “You can dance?”

    “Of course” Smiling and taking my hand. A slow song came on and he draped my arm over his shoulders. Wrapping his around my waist. It was wonderful, he was really good to. Kissing my neck and telling me how beautiful I was. I leaned my head against his lower shoulder. It slowly got dark out, and the light I wrapped around the tent stuck out making a beautiful firefly affect. Before it got completely dark Sam and Marlene were seen off in the sporty car. She nearly had a heart attack seeing it pull up. He shrugged and opened the door for her. I waved good bye as they drove off. Everyone returned and finished off the food and drink.
    Slowly as time went on less and less people were there. I started cleaning up and Matias helped. He smiled at me as I dropped paper plated into a bag he was holding. I blushed and walked away to get more.

    “You look really good in a dress, should wear them more” He finally said.
    “Why cause they make it easy?” Smirking at him.
    “Wasn’t thinking about that, but now that you mention it” Raising his eyebrows. Laughing I finished cleaning and everything would be picked up tomorrow. We took both are cars home, that way he wouldn’t have to drop me off tomorrow. Matias could only stay the night. In the apartment I took my heels off and washed the makeup off. This was beginning to take its toll on me, again I would have to say good bye. I still needed to finish up with my house, and I was also watching over the house for Sam and Marlene, plus Matias needed to go back to the pack.

    We cuddled after changing into are comfortable clothes. It was hard trying to keep my eyes open. I knew once they closed he would be gone. And once again I would be by myself, you’d think after living by yourself for so long its not that hard. Trust me when I say it becomes harder when you find the one person you want to spend the rest of your life with, the separation no matter how long it is becomes the only thing you can think about. Kissing my forehead and cradling me, he knew what I was feeling. As mates we can feel each others emotion and pain. It’s a price we share for falling in love.

    Waking up I could smell hot coffee and pastries. Turning over I see Matias sitting at the kitchen table reading the paper and drinking his coffee. He notices me, smiling.
    “Morning sexy” I smile fixing my hair and getting up.
    “Did we fall asleep on the couch?”
    “Sure did” Sliding a cup of coffee to me.
    “Did you go out?” Looking at the travel mug
    “Yea, Sam told me you love the coffee downtown so I picked you up one and got a few pastries” I sipped the coffee. Ohh now that’s the good stuff. Sitting down and taking out a pastry.
    “Your leaving today aren’t you?”

“Well….” Folding the paper and smiling at me.
    “What?” Pausing before the pasty hit my lips.
    “I was thinking we could go together.” Taking a sip.
    “But I have to watch Sam’s house, and finish with all the moving things”
    “I already took care of that. I also rented you a car, cause that truck of yours will never make it.” Chuckling.
    “Wait. How?” My head hurts.

    “I had a talk with the young male.” Oh dear lord.
    “You didn’t kill him did you?” Leaning closer.
    “No, I’m not a complete ass Luna” Rolling his eyes.
    “So he’s gunna watch Sam’s house? Is Sam okay with that?”
    “Yup, already talked to him about it. Your stuff has already been moved as well. Well excepts for personal things which are in the rental down stairs.” Grinning.
    “Really I can go with you?” Smiling and getting out of my seat to hug him.
    “Of course, I’m not leaving my girl anymore” I was so excited I started to cry. We finished eating and packed what I needed. I got dressed and grabbed the last of the bags before we left the apartment. He was already down by the cars when I got out there. A shinny silver Nissan was waiting for me to drive it to MT.
    “Oh I loaded an app on your cell, you can us it to talk to me like a walkie talkie”
    “Matias, we kind of already have that” Tapping my head.
    “Right, hahah” He kissed me and lead the way. I was really going to miss this place. Threw small streets we made are way to the highway. This was going to be a long drive.

Sometimes his over protectiveness is just to much. Turning the radio on and blasted the music, I grabbed my water bottle and took a sip. We had stopped at a gas station for snacks and drinks, also to fill the cars up. Traffic got heavy around 5:00 and it took us longer to get threw, but after that it was pretty much a straight shot. It got dark around 8:00 and I heard Matias.

~Okay~ Sighing I really wanted to get there. He pulled into a nice hotel and walked inside with me.

“Hello, may I help you?” The lady at the front desk ask.
    “Yes, one room please”
    “Sure” She typed a few things and Matias pulled out his credit card.
    “Here you are” Handing him a key or more like a card thing. He handed her his credit card and she swiped it handing it back.
    “Sign here for me. Alright your all set have a nice night” Wrapping his arm around me holding are night bag we walked to are room. It was huge, a king sized bed, a tv just as big as his at the apartment, mine fridge. I walked into the bathroom.
    “Holy crap” He walked in, leaning on the door.
    “What?”

    “There’s a freaking Jacuzzi in here” Laughing he nodded.
    “Yea, there’s one in every room”
    “What, are you serious?”
    “Yea, I stop here every time I come to see you” Smiling
    “Ohh” Walking back in the bathroom. I am so using that.
    “You hungry?” He calls from the bed.
    “Yea” Filling the tub
    “Chinese or pizza?”

“Chinese”
    “Okay, well what kind” Laughing I walk back out. Taking the menu from him. Moving to the small desk I write down what I want
    “Hear” Handing him both.
    “Okay, taking a bath?”
    “Hell yea” Walking back into the bathroom, I can hear him laughing. Dropping my clothes to the floor and slipping in.

    “Ohh that is so nice” Sticking my hair in a bun and letting the jets and bubbles take me to a far away land, were people can eat cotton candy and never get fat. He’s talking on the phone now, must be ordering. Forty five minutes later I can hear someone knocking on are door.
    “Ohh food” Sitting up and realizing I shouldn’t of staid in that long. Pulling the plug and stepping out, wrapping a huge fluffy white towel around myself. I grabbed the door to walk out, just as he’s about to knock.
    “Oh perfect timing, foods hear”
    “I no I can smell it” Winking at him. Sitting on the bed, he’s eyeing me. Probably cause I’m in just a towel.

    “Yes?” Breaking my chopsticks apart to eat.
    “Nothing” taking a bite of his fried rice. We spent the night eating and watching tv. I guess were agreeing to sleep instead of well…yea.
Holding me close I feel completely at easy, with him next to me like this. My life has finally come full circle, and I can finally be happy with someone who wants me.
    Coffee and muffins are what I smell, as the door to are room closes quietly. I wiggling a little bit and feel something soft kiss my cheek.
    “Morning love”
    “Do I smell coffee?” Keeping my eyes closed.
    “Yes you do”

“Okay..” Yawn “I’ll get up” He chuckles and sits at the table in are room with the coffee and muffins. Pushing the covers off me I fix my hair and walk over, grabbing at the air for the coffee. He laughs handing it to me. The first sip is perfect, god he’s good. A man who can bring a girl a fresh hot up of coffee is a man I will never get rid of. After a few sips, I feel it working and head to the bathroom. Fix myself up and get dressed. He’s watching tv when I come out.
    “Ready?”

    “Yup” Grabbing a muffin and the rest of my coffee. He has already loaded are bag and finished his cup. Kissing me before we get into are cars and start driving more. Damn this is a long drive. Another stop at a gas station and more snacks, I am so going on a diet when we get to MT. Growling to myself, as I think how much weight I’m gunna gain just from this trip. We have at least another 20 hours of driving before we get there. My mind wanders as I think of seeing where Matias’s pack is, when were he calls home.
    Playing with the radio station and looking for a good song. Traffic comes to a grinding halt, slamming on my brakes and screeching to a halt.

~Sorry, I will~ Sighing and moving the car forward slowly as we moving along. It thins out and we get moving at a faster pace. I again start looking for something to lesson to, only this time I look up ever second. Found one. The car starts blinking so random symbol at me.
    “What is that?” I know enough about cars, but this is a brand new model. I have never seen that symbol before.
    “Huh, whatever” It goes away after a few minutes. Guess it wasn’t that important. Turning my music up louder and moving right along. A few hours in and I get another mind link from Matias.

~I will~ Thank god, I just want to get there already. Its getting later out, and the only real drivers out right now is a few truckers. Every so often we see a single car or truck, but its mostly just semi’s. Matias speeds up which is easy for him since he’s in a damn sports car. My little Nissan is doing its best. Hitting the gas, something starts making noise. But its muffled by the semi I am trying to pass. Looking over I see chains rocking back and forth on the semi.

    “Ohh” well that would explain the noises. Getting in front I feel something inside me snap. What the hell was that. The dark road is lines with even darker trees, as we drive down the two lane highway. It cuts down to one lane with the semi behind me, ohh I don’t like that. Speeding up I try to get a good ways away from him. Another snapping sound and the car starts to shake.

    ~What’s wrong?~
    ~The car its……I’m sorry~ I cut are mind link even though he’s trying to get into my head. I can’t let him hear me. The back drivers side tire flings loose making the car swerve out of control. Gripping the steering wheel, and closing my eyes I wait. The sound of my heart is pounding in my ears, it feels like I’m holding my breath and my muscles go tight.

    The car flips over its self, rolling six times before sliding to a stop upside down, glass and tire marks streak across the highway. My head is killing me, and something warm is trickling down my arms. Blood….I can smell it. I must of gotten cut. The jagged pain in my left legs, means its broken. Screaming can be heard, but its muffled. Leaning my head back I slowly open my eyes. Matias, he’s screaming, and running. Reaching my hand slowly outward, I reach for him.

“Lunaaaa” He screams again. He must of gotten a lot further away from me then I thought. Looking around everything is hazy and smoke is pouring out of the car. The smell of gas is everywhere, its burning my noise. My eyes widen, no Matias. Looking back at him.


~No, Matias stay away~ I start crying
~Luna I’m coming~
~No, stay away. Please~ I beg him, but he keeps coming.
~Luna I’m coming, I’m going to get you out of there, just hold on.~

~No Matias, its to late. I love you.~

The smoke filled car, cracks as a drop of gas falls in the perfect spot. Sending the car into a blazing inferno. Matias screams, and stops falling to the ground.
“LUNAAAA” Grabbing his head. Tears streaming down his face.
The car is fully engulfed in red and yellow flames. Lighting the dark street, and stopping what little traffic there is. People come running out, as the flames get higher and hotter.

“LUNAAA, COME BACK” pounding his fist into the concrete.
His body a crumbled mess on the ground screaming. On lookers called 911.
