~All Alpha’s report down stairs this instance~ cutting the link off. A loud rumble came from up stairs as wolves started running down the stairs some even jumped over the railing and landed next to father. He wasn’t kidding around, when he said jump they really did.
“My daughter has just informed me there are rouges loose on are land. Matias has gone after them, who will assist him?” At least all the wolves stepped forward. All but Donavon, I glared at him.
“Alright lets go” My father said waving his hands for them to go.
I ran out the door as my father called.
“Luna, come back.”
“I’m going to find Matias” Running out the door. Sam looked worried as my father stood mouth open and ready to cry.
“Sam, my daughter” He said softly. Sam stood next to him.
My feet hurt from the damn heels, ripping them off and tossing them to the side I ran faster barefooted anyways. I pasted a few Alphas in there human and wolf form. Leading them to where I left Matias. A pack of ten ran behind me every so often a human would burst into his wolf form. The road we were on had a drop to one side while the other went straight up. A little further and we would be where Matias took off, rounding the bend there he was walking on the main road covered in blood.
“Matias” Screaming and running faster to him. Getting to him as he started to collapse in my arms. Holding onto him, I called for help. Two large men ran over and assisted me, they had kept there human forms.
“The rest of you, check the woods for more.” Some looked at me like I was crazy.
“That’s an order, I am of Monarch blood. Do as your told.” Pulling my power card, they took off in search for more rogues. Looking back at Matias, who was well torn up.
“We need to get him back now.” They nodded and took turns carrying him at a run. Making it back to the house my father sat on the steps, seeing me made him get up.
“Luna” running to me.
“Father, Matias needs help.” I yelled. He called for the doctor and helped get him into the living room area. Laying him carefully on a sofa and looking over him. The doctor came quickly and made everyone leave, I stood my ground. Donavon grabbed my arm.
“Everyone out!” He snapped, I pulled away from him.
“Touch me again, and I’ll burn your car next.” Glaring at him. He stormed out, and the doctor went o cleaning the blood off his body. He had tons of bit marks and scratches on him, a huge chuck was removed from his chest cavity.
“Matias” Crying and holding his hand. The doctor cleaned all the wounds and gave him a shot.
“You may want to let go of his hand for this next shot, miss.” I shook my head no, and he gave a weak smile. Sticking the needle into his arm. Matias screamed in pain as the liquid started running threw his blood stream. His eyes were going black with rage.
“Matias, look at me, look at me Matias.” Turning his face to me. His eyes lightened, smiling at him.
“Good, keep talking to him, it will keep him calm.” Replied the doctor.
“Matias, I’m so going to kick your ass if you lose.” laughing a little bit. He grinned before squeezing my hand hard and screaming again. I searched his face and started worrying about him more and more. How many where there? He’s an Alpha could rouges really do this much damage to an Alpha. If so how was he ever going to beat Donavon. My mind raced as he let out another blood curling scream and growled loudly.
He tried to get up, and the doctor tried to get him to lay down again, but was pushed away. He was turning, letting his mad wolf come out.
“Stop him” The doctor yelled at me. Looking into the now black eyes, I smiled at him. Swinging my leg over his body and sitting on top of him. The doors to the living room swung open as all the Alphas and my father walked in. I kissed Matias and didn’t stop till he gave me one back. Slowly his eyes shifted back to there normal bright color, grabbing me around the waist and holding me to him. Donavon’s ever snapped yellow with rage and ran over to us.
“Get off him” Screaming at me. Pulling his lips off mine, Matias stood up holding me in his arms.
“Back off” Growling deeply at him, and flashing is Alpha power around us. With my arms wrapped around his neck, he become more protective of me. Not letting anyone near me, not even my father. Sam was waiting in the hall when we walked out. Flashing his eyes at Sam, he followed us. Sam was not a werewolf, but he had lived with them long enough to know what they wanted. The Alphas followed us outside and into the field away from the house. Where Matias kissed me hard once more and placed me in Sam’s care.
“Watch her” He snarled, nodding Sam took me over to another side. As Matias turned to the group of Alpha’s.
“That Challenge starts now” Glaring at Donavon.
The doctor came over to us, tapping me on the shoulder.
“He is only going to have strength for a little while.” Whispering it so only I could hear. My eyes widened.
“What do you mean?” Frantically looking for an answer.
“That last shot was a booster, he was weak and I know of the challenge. Your father instructed me to help him.” Giving me a weak smile. I felt my body going numb, how long does it last.
“Doctor, how long?” He shrugged.
“It could last for and hour or more.” my heart felt like it had stopped. Everything started spinning around me like one of those rides. My eyes ran looking at the two Alphas, the rest had made a large circle around them.
“Begin” My father yelled and I held my breath. Both shifted quickly into there wolf forms. Donavon was a reddish brown color, it was common. They attacked exploding in every direction, teeth razor sharp flying threw the air at rapid speed. Dagger like claw going for anything that it could reach. Matias lunged at him and scrapped a part of his back, making him snarl out a nasty sound. Donavon returned the attack by slamming into Matias and sending him flying towards some Alphas. They backed up when Donavon charged again.
I wanted to look away, but was afraid of when might happen. Sam touched my back and made me jump. I started to cry watched Donavon grab hold of Matias back leg and push him into the dirt. He returned the attack by grabbing Donavon’s front paw and pulling it out of socket. The two rolled around kicking up dirt and grass. When they finally pulled apart, both were panting. But that didn’t stop them, charging again and again. One let out a yelp and cried as the pain rushed threw him.
The sun was full gone and the full moon was all that gave us light. Are night vision was perfect and we could see every move as if it was daylight, poor Sam he could see very well. But never asked what was happening. Some cars started showing up and flashing there head light at the fight. The loud growls and roars they were making brought out some of the common wolfs. My father allowed them to watch, this was after all a big deal.
I could see Matias was starting to fade, he looked tired from the battle with the rogues and whatever the doctor gave him was wearing off. I shot a look to the doctor who held up ten fingers. He only had ten minutes at best. My eyes shot back at him, I was shaking and not because it was cold. My wolf was getting angry and wanted to help. How could I tell her to stay calm when I myself wanted to help. Everyone around me faded into the darkness, as I watched the fight go on.
His body was giving up, he couldn’t fight anymore. Donavon slammed into him, knocking him to the ground and rolling over a few times. His face was towards me, trying to get back up and looking right at me. I lost myself control, his eyes were fluttering in and out. He would have been fine if he didn’t fight those rouges. I started crying uncontrollable, as the look he gave me was full of pain and sorrow. He whined and begged me to forgive him. I screamed grabbing my head and running towards him as Donavon went for the kill.
“Luna NO” My father screamed as someone held him back.
“Luna you fool” Sam whispered.
I was faster, faster then Donavon I would make. I had to. It felt like everything stopped and I was moving slow turning my head seeing Donavon rushing at him, I let my wolf come out. She exploded from me, leaving my clothes to drop. The clouds covering the moon moved and they attacked my fur, turning it a brilliant white color. I am a half breed, I change on a full moon. I become a normal wolf, on as white as snow. This is my curse, and my blessing. My body hit Matias and moved him out of the way as Donavon came crashing down where he once lay.
Leaving Matias I turned around and glared at him. Growling and snarling, showing my white teeth and gold eyes. My tail straight out and ears flat back. I could still hear everyone threw mind link, and there chatter was all the same.
“She white.”
“A white wolf”
“She’s gunna fight him”
I snarled again, warning him to back down.
~Protect are mate~ She yelled at me.
Digging my claws into the earth and feeling the ground tremble under me. Donavon circled me, waiting for me to move away from Matias. I sent him another warning, buy kicking dirt at his face. The hair on the back of my neck stood straight up, and I made no indication I was going anywhere.
I knew if he got a hold of me, I was done for. I don’t have there strengthen, but I am faster then him. I just have keep out of reach. Keeping my mind focused on the task. He roared at me, sending waves of power. Telling me to back down, and move. I snarled at him.
~Move Luna~ circling me.
~Never~ watching him closing
~I will kill you if I have to~ Flashing his eyes at me,
~Just you try it~ lowering my head ready for an attack.
He stopped and snarled at me again, giving me a final chance. I held fast, swaying my tail from side to side. He lunged for my face, darting out of the way and scrapping my front claws across his side. Blood dripped out and onto the ground. He wiped around and came after me. Faster be faster. Darting around and making a bee line for him. Charging him head on, he swiped his claws at me, clearing them to land on his back biting down on his neck and jumping off before he could get me. The taste of his blood in my mouth turned my stomach. The more he tried to catch me the more his wounds stayed open. It was a win, win. He wouldn’t stop to rest, it would look inferior to loose to a woman, not to mention one who wasn’t even a werewolf right now.
Always keeping a few feet ahead of him, and doubling back to attack. I needed something else before he caught onto my plan. Slowing my pace and letting him think I was getting tired, he charged and went to bite me. My father watched as I grew tired. Sam barred his human teeth and made tight fists.
“Luna” Matias whispered changing back to human form.
He was so close I could feel his hot breath on my tail. Keeping this going a little longer I needed the right time. This had to end, and soon cause I really was getting tired. Inch by tiny inch, he grew that much closer his glowing eyes scaring the crap out of me.
~Now…do it now~ She screamed.
My body dropped to the ground without a single warning. Tucking my head low to the earth and watching him soar over me, tripping as he went. His face coming at mine to get a bit in before crashing to the ground. The ground shook as he toppled over his heavy frame and twisted his legs snapping them in different places. Standing up and looking at his mangled mess, I signed. I beat him, it was over. I was free, no more stupid match making.
I heard a faint whisper and turned around, seeing Matias leaning on his arms. His eyes looked normal and tired, my tail wagged seeing him try to get. I yipped and watched him. His eyes grew large and he screamed something. The sound of thundering paws had me turning around. Donavon grabbed my by the ribs and flung me into a lone tree. My light frame hit, yelping loud, shaking the tree and sliding down. I lay twitching as the pain rushed all over my body. In the distance I heard my father screaming along with Sam. The moonlight started to fade, as my eyes fluttered and rolled to the back of my head.
