Chapter 10- More decisions

Dontas was never known to be mean. He was always known as a great, respected Alpha. Hope was pleased to be the Alpha Female by his side. When Angel was younger, she had always looked up to the two alphas. Ahe always wanted to be one, getting to meet other far-away packs, getting attention. She was always the one who learned about anything she could on an Alpha. Everyone said she was "Destined" to be an Alpha.

Even today, Angel still had hopes of being an Alpha. She still went over all the things you needed to do to be one. But after the incident with the dream and the fight at dinner, she wasn't so sure this pack would hold on.

Angel thought that Dontas was the shadowy wolf, for one, what Sierra had told her in the Dream Realm. Another thing: Most alphas were usually Roamers. She thought about this, yet there still seemed to be holes in her idea Dontas was the Shadow Wolf. Like the fact that he threatened Sierra, and her pack. Why would Dontas threaten a pack who he doesn't even know about? Sierra could be in any pack. Angel knew for a fact Sierra wasn't in her own fellow pack, the Shadow Pack.

Also, wouldn't Hope know if Dontas was doing such things? She would have to had known at least if Dontas was a Roamer or not. Plus, if Hope did know, there wouldn't be a chance that she would let Dontas do such things. She would put a stop too it. Wouldn't she?

These things were rushing through her mind as she woke up. The split second her mind accused Dontas of threatening her in the dream realm, she started to fade away from Keighley's realm. She had woken up on her side; Keighley had most likely pushed Angel over. She sat up sluggishly and looked around. Arius was near the other side of the room stretching. Keighley sat waiting for Angel to stand up. Angel started to come to earth from her thoughts and she shook. She was actually wet from the thunderstorm in the realms. She yawned and stretched like Arius was.

"You up sleepy-head?" Arius asked, walking over to Angel. She yawned in response and turned to Keighley, who looked tired and wet too.

"Thanks for waking me up." Angel croaked.

Keighley nodded. "After work, me and you should head back here and practice going in and out of the dream realm. That is, if your up for it." She added.

"I should be." Angel responded, followed by another yawn.

"OK then." Keighley said, turning to exit the room. "See you at work, Angel."

"Bye." Angel said as Keighley left the room. As soon as Angel was sure she was out of earshot, she turned to Arius. "Arius, I need to tell you something."

"What is it?" He asked. "Something wrong?"

"I think Dontas is trying to kill me." Angel responded.

"Yeah, because an Alpha would totally kill his pack member." Arius said, rolling his eyes.

"I'm being serious." Angel said sternly. Arius looked at Angel with a worried look in his eyes.

"I'm being serious too. Why would he do that?"

Angel sighed. "I think the wolf that almost killed me two nights ago is Dontas."

"What makes you think that?" Arius asked. Angel groaned and explained everything Sierra had said to her. She said what she thought Dontas was really doing.

"You see?" Angel said.

"I still see problems in that." Arius said indifferently.

"I know, I do to." Angel agreed. "But it's a thought."

"Why would they want to kill you anyways?" Arius asked. Angel thought about this. Why would they want to kill her? She never did anything wrong. There was something they knew that she didn't, that is, if Dontas was even trying to kill her.

"I don't know." Angel replied after a moment of silence. "It's just a thought."

"Well, if it is true, we need to tell someone." Arius said.

"But who?"

"I don't know!" Arius said kind of loudly. "Oh, sorry." He added after getting a stern look from Angel.

"Well, why not Hope?" Angel suddenly suggested. "She's an Alpha I can trust."

"But how can we tell her without Dontas knowing?" Arius questioned. "And what happens if Hope is in on it?"

"Believe me," Angel said. "She wouldn't turn on this pack."

"OK, here's all we can really do." Arius said. "We could tell Hope, someone else we can trust, which I really don't know who, or we could let it slide."

Angel moaned. "I don't think we can do much. I mean, I probably need to tell Keighley..."

"Yes, please do." Arius said. "I think that's all we could do. We can tell Hope afterwards."

"Sounds good." Angel said. "Now let's go eat, I'm hungry!"

"Ok." Arius said. They exited the den expecting to find multiple wolves on their way to eat, but instead, it was completely empty.

"They're probably just all at breakfast." Arius suggested. Angel could only agree with him, so they walked slowly down the hall. They entered the main room which, once again, was empty. Angel suspected to find guards there, at least guarding the exit to the den. But the entire main room was silent. They sat down in the middle of the room. They looked towards the forty den rooms, where there was complete silence.

"This is weird." Angel said. "There is usually a wolf or two still in the halls. Why are they all gone?"

Arius said nothing. He just looked surprised towards the dinner room. Angel looked that direction to find Keighley running quickly towards them. She stopped running when she reached Arius and slid a few feet. She was gasping for air, breathing heavily.

"What happened?" Arius asked as Keighley tried to catch her breath.

"They..." She mumbled. "They... Left us... They left with all the food and supplies." Arius and Angel looked at each other scared. "They left us, and they aren't coming back."
