The fight with feather clan had been 3 moons ago and the clan was preparing for leaf-bare more hunting parties have been set out and the medicine cat was stocking up for it wolf star was watching his clan happily tiger Heart had gone on a walk with his mate cinder heart she had named her kits the first full white one was angel kit and the second fully white one with some of its mothers marking was named moon kit and the black and brown tom with amber eyes was named Night kit and the white kit was snow kit and the white one with a black tail was named Swan kit he saw the kits playfully playing outside the nursery all of sudden he could smell fear scent now he saw cinder heart run in and tiger Heart was being dragged by her and she dropped Tiger hearts limp body in the middle of the clearing and wolf star came "how is tiger heart dead?" Wolf star mewed "Rogues killed him" cinder Heart mewed. The cats in camp saw there deputies dead body and came and sat beside him and wailed and shared Tongues with him for the last time. Wolf star looked at tiger heart finch Flower came "he had been a fine deputy and now walks with star clan" the clan then departed and wolf star stayed with him along with cinder heart wolf star then knew who His next deputy would be he leaped onto the high ledge "let all cats old enough to run in the mist gather under the high ledge" he mewed with sadness "I shall choose my next deputy I say these words before tiger hearts spirit so he shall hear and approve my choice the next deputy of mist clan will be red stripe, red stripe you have been a loyal warrior and I hope you serve your clan well as deputy" wolf star mewed "I-" red stripe was cut off "WOLF STAR! I DISAPPROVED! I SHOULD BE DEPUTY!" A cat hissed from the shadows and then the cat stepped out and it was shadow pelt "Red stripe fight me to see who should be deputy!" Shadow pelt hissed unsheathing his claws red stripe looked at wolf star for approval wolf star nodded and the cats in the clearing backed up making sure tiger Hearts body wasn't in the battle red stripe unsheathed her claws and they crouched and circled and then red stripe leaped at shadow pelt pinning him and shadow pelt raked red stripes belly and then kicked her off with his hind legs then red stripe slashed shadow pelt's face and then she slid under him and knocked him over and slid out from under him. Shadow pelt hissed and ran and bit red stripe's ear putting a bite in it and Red stripe ran circling him making him dizzy and then she pounced on him and raked his shoulders pulling a piece of fur off his right shoulder. Shadow pelt hissed and ran and  bit red stripes tail "STOP! RED STRIPE HAS WON!" Wolf star yowled red stripe dipped her head "Go get those wounds patched up!" Wolf star mewed

The clan chanted then wolf star quieted them "Clan dismissed!" Wolf star mewed Wolf star saw shadow pelt and red stripe go to the medicine cats den. 'If Shadow pelt does that ever again he will be exiled' Wolf star thought he saw swan kit,Snow kit,Angel kit,Night kit and moon kit watching with fear in their eyes he flicked his tail at the kits as if telling them everyone is fine and everything is ok and it's all clear they could come out and play the kits yowled happily and raced out of the nursery. Cinder heart was looking at tiger hearts dead body sadly.

The next day wolf star came out the leader's den he saw the elders by tiger Heart's body they picked him up and everyone left for the burial they buried him and everyone went back to camp and went back to their duties.
