MEMORIES RACED THROUGH CASSIDY MONTGOMERYS MIND BEFORE SHE WOKE UP. it had felt like a dream, all these people she didn't know doing all these things that seemed impossible.

cassidy quickly turned her dorm room light on and grabbed her water bottle before chugging whatever was inside, she couldn't remember.

her roommate, sabrina williams, woke up with a groan before looking cassidys way, "cass, what's wrong?"

cassidy looked at her best friend, "i had the strangest dream! there where all these kids our age, werewolves, magic, and this one boy... but it all felt so real."

cassidy watched in curiosity as sabrina rolled her eyes before grabbing a powder she had never seen before. sabrina then threw the powder in cassidys face, making the girl pass out.

sabrina sighed and went up to cassidys ear, "your name is cassidy montgomery. you go to belgrave university, your best friend is named sabrina williams, you think all magic is just a silly fantasy, and you have no clue who randall carpio, jack morton, lilith bathory, or hamish duke are. you're a human development major who only hangs out with her best friend and anyone else her best friend wants."

sabrina quickly turned off the light before going back to her own bed and falling asleep.

CASSIDY WALKED THROUGH THE CAMPUS, ARMS LINKED WITH SABRINA. the two were talking about their classes when a boy suddenly ran right into cassidy.

she fell back a bit but he quickly caught her arm and pulled her back up, "you okay?" cassidy looked up and saw a cute boy with dark brown hair and nodded, "maybe watch where you're going next time?"

he smiled and nodded, "will do." he quickly took off and cassidy gave sabrina a look as she bit her lip and the two continued walking.

sabrina rolled her eyes, "what is with the look on your face? that asshole ran right into you. he could have injured you" cassidy shrugged, "he was kinda cute... and i'm fine! no harm no foul."

sabrina frowned, "he so isn't your type." cassidy scrunched up her face in confusion, "uh, yeah he is." sabrina quickly mumbled to herself, "he won't be."

sabrina reconnected the two girls arms as they continued to walk. "we should go pick up coffee before our next study session." smiled cassidy and sabrina looked at her like she was crazy, "havent you already had three cups this morning?"

cassidy shrugged, "we always get it before we study so why is today any different?" sabrina bit her lip and nodded with a forced smile, "yeah, okay! let's get... another cup."

sabrina began talking about all the tests she was going to ace when cassidy quickly stopped, hearing a loud ringing.

"sab, do you hear that ringing?"

sabrina rolled her eyes, "there is no ringing, cass." cassidy looked around before covering her ears with her hands. sabrina put a hand on cassidys shoulder, making the girl look up with shining eyes and large teeth as she began to transform.

sabrina quickly grabbed some of the power and threw it in cassidys face, making the girl fall to the floor.

people gave the two weird looks before sabrina glared, making everyone turn away. she quickly bent down next to cassidy and sighed, "already? geezus. your name is cassidy montgomery, you go to belgrave university..." sabrina paused for a second before smiling, "and your type is whoever i say it is."

THE FIVE TASKED WITH HANDLING THE WEREWOLVES ALL STOOD IN THE TEMPLE. selena sighed, "okay, so how long are we gonna be here? cause i've got an exam."

the door to the room opened up and the grand magus, vera, walked into the room. everyone stopped their conversations and quickly looked forward.

"the pulervis memoria isn't working anymore." stated gabrielle as vera walked over to her desk and gabrielle continued, "i have to powder morton every few days now."

nicole nodded, "you're right, it does seem to wear out faster than before." angus added, "randalls had more relapses, too."

selena scoffed, "in all honesty, the hardest part for me is keeping pace with hamish. that man can drink." sabrina nodded in agreement, "yeah i'm beginning to think cassidys blood is just made of caffeine. she has like eight coffees a day."

vera stopped the disciples, "tell me about the transformation." gabrielle began to explain, "jack and i were walking on the main concourse when randall almost killed me because his monitor can't keep him on his leash."

sabrina cut gabrielle off, "yeah angus, randall bumped into cassidy too because you weren't watching them and she started talking about how cute he was. i had to put a stop to something that wouldn't have had to happen."

angus looked at the two girls, "wanna swap? say the word. the guy needs, like, twenty hours of exercise a day." sabrina rolled her eyes and vera looked at all of them, "focus. the transformation."

"jack said he heard a ringing noise, and then he went all werewolf."

angus, nicole, sabrina, and selena all nodded their heads in agreement, having the same thing happen. vera looked at all of them, "were any of you preforming magic?"

gabrielle looked at her confused, "what does that have to do with anything? we've been performing magic all summer. they've never transformed before now."

"do i really need to remind you of the dangers of answering my questions with a question?" questioned vera and gabrielle took a breath, "no, grand magus. no magic."

nicole looked around at everyone before turning back to vera, "so, what should we do?" vera leaned back in her seat, "go back to your charges. and as of now, no one is to preform magic of any kind without my permission."

gabrielle looked at vera, "so, i have to open the door... with my hand?" sabrina rolled her eyes at the younger girl as gabrielle looked at angus, "what are you waiting for? get the door."

he rolled his eyes before going to the door as gabrielle mumbled, "oh, my god. chivalry is dead."

all five disciples walked out of the room, each going back to their wolf.

CASSIDY WALKED INTO HER ROOM TO SEE A NOTE AND A BLUE ROSE. she looked at it curiously before picking up the note, "the hermetic order of the blue rose has summoned you? go to kneebend trail at midnight and see the new world that awaits you..."

when midnight came, cassidy stood in the middle of the woods with three people she didn't know, yet seemed familiar. she wrapped her coat around her arms, wishing she didn't wear a tank top when a boy with almost white hair walked over.

"is this the place for... this?" wondered the boy making cassidy and the other three lift up their blue roses towards him to answer his question.

"have any of you even ever heard of this blue rose group before?" wondered the other girl in the group and the blonde boy shook his head, "no. you guys?"

the y'all boy with brown hair nodded, "yeah, i did. i heard. alexandria ocasio-cortez, elon musk, and jason priestley are all members."

the oldest looking boy scoffed, "wow, someone's wikipedia smart." the blonde boy looked at the brown haired boy, "have you and i met before?"

the brown haired boy shook his head, "i don't... think so."

suddenly a hand grabbed the blonde boys shoulder making him turn around. the group all looked at the person in a robe with their face covered by a mask as the person spoke up, "silence. subservience. observance. you are no longer students. you're neophytes. find the gold coins. take only one... or we will know."

the person in front of them did a magic trick, it sent a ringing sound into cassidys ears and she lost control.
