"ELLIE'S SCENT IS WEAK, BUT IT'S HERE." spoke jack as the group walked through a section of dorms. hamish sniffed a bit, "smells like blood."

"making me hungry." stated lilith and all the boys gave her a look making lilith quickly add, "what? i skipped lunch."

jack and randall stopped in front of a room and randall nodded, "here." jack put his hand on the doorknob before taking a breath and opening the door.

they all walked in to see the place looking messed up. but that wasn't the worse thing.

there was a student in the wall.

cassidy shook her head a bit trying to tell if what she was looking at was real before lilith spoke, "trevor burstyn?"

randall scoffed, "come on "burstyn?" lilith gave him a look to shut up which randall took as a need to continue so he moved his arms like a burst, "like... "burstin?"

"i know." replied jack making randall sigh, "i know."

"he was a neophyte with cassie, alyssa, and me, but he got washed out." explained lilith and cassidy nodded, "oh shit i remember him."

suddenly, trevors head lifted up showing he was still very much alive. everyone took a step back as trevor let out a groan, "am i in the wall?"

lilith looked at the boy, "trevor, it's lilith. remember me?" trevor was moving his arm around which definitely wasn't connected anymore before grunting out, "i am in the wall."

lilith continued, "did ellie taylor do this to you?" trevor tried to respond, "i haven't seen her since... freshman year. she said i stole her blue rose."

trevor continued to try and move but each movement made his bones crack over and over. he looked at the group, "please. the pain. make it stop."

cassidy nodded, "yeah and the sound." lilith looked at the group, "i don't know any magic that'll cure this."

randall looked at cassidy, "cass?" cassidy shook her head and the boy sighed, "well, we've got to do something."

lilith took out her knife before cutting her palm and quickly chanting, "sanetur! reparetur! restituatur!" trevor continued to groan in pain as she spoke making hamish speak up, "it's not working."

lilith turned to look at the older boy, "yeah, you think?"

"stop!" cried out trevor, making cassidy turn the other way, unable to keep watching. she felt a hand test on her back and knew it was randall as jack quickly walked up to trevor and sliced his neck open with his knife.

everyone was silent, trying to process everything, when randall shook his head from beside cassidy, "poor guy. didn't get in, and magic still killed him."

"why attack a washout?"

cassidy shrugged at hamishs question, "maybe she didn't know?" lilith nodded rapidly putting the pieces together, "yeah because she didn't know he was a washout."

"neither did he. they powdered him after they sent him packing." spoke jack and hamish looked between his friends, "ellie doesn't know that, either. any denial would have sounded like a cover up."

jack walked up to the rest of the group who were now huddled together more, "she attacks someone she thinks is in the order, and then goes after a bunch of random civilians? it doesn't make sense."

randall looked at the boy, "actually, it does. her videos... you could see order members in each shot."

jack began to connect what randall was saying, "so she's trying to flush out order members?"

lilith quickly questioned, "but why does she want to identify us?" randall shook his head, "she doesn't, she wants the order."

lilith nodded, "yeah, that's us."

randall nodded, remembering, "ah, right." hamish sighed, "guys, focus." randall nodded again continuing his thoughts, "he said she accused him of stealing her blue rose."

jack quickly added, "she knows the order exists and blames them for not getting in." lilith nodded, "she's out for revenge."

hamish quickly bossed, "okay, now we need to warn alyssa." jack and lilith nodded and the three left the room.

cassidy looked at trevors body with a frown before feeling randall wrap an arm around her shoulder and lead her out. she wrapped one arm around his waist as they walked, trying to get the poor boy out of her head.

the two walked out behind hamish, lilith, and jack as jack went on the phone, "alyssa, it's jack. no, i'm not calling to argue."

hi! sorry my last update was so long ago i started school and i've been busy but i'm trying to find time. this chapter is also a bit short and i'm sorry for that but i wanted to write it and get one out!
