CASSIDY DECIDED TO SIT IN ON ALL JACKS LESSONS. there was really no point to it besides she was curious on how the wolves did what they did. they were all fine with her sitting in so that's what she did.

"do you hear that? the ringing?" questioned jack, who was only wearing a towel. "don't worry about it." replied randall who also only had a towel on, no shirt.

cassidy noticed that detail right away.

"why must i wear a towel?"

"so you don't ruin your clothes."

"why do you have to wear a towel?"

"because i'm body-positive. cassidy tell him the system works." cassidy found herself having to look up before nodding, "yeah don't challenge the system... it works."

"now quit changing the subject. you've taught yourself how to keep silverback in. now all you have to do is let him out." explained randall as he took a step back.

"okay?" randall looked at jack who nodded, "okay." jack than began making noises and shaking his arms around to get in the moment.

"take your time." offered randall and jack gave him a thumbs up back. suddenly jack scrunched up his face and began grunting. he continued until randall spoke up, "looks like you're dumbing one out."

"you're not helping." replied jack making randall laugh, "jack, just... stop. just watch. just watch."

randall stepped far back before smiling and reaching to undo his towel from around his hips. cassidy found herself watching very closely to what randall was doing with wide eyes.

he dropped the towel and right as he did, he transformed. he transformed into the giant werewolf that began this whole adventure for cassidy and she couldn't help but be really impressed by his control.

just as quickly as he transformed, the wolf randall bent down and changed back right as randall had the towel wrapped around his waist again.

cassidy looked down at the book she had with her before mumbling to herself, "so glad i chose to sit in on this."

she didn't know it, but randall had heard and a small smile fell onto his lips.

"that was mildly impressive." mused jack making randall chuckle, "you kidding?" jack wondered, "how did you get turned?"

randall sighed, "freshman year, i was out for a run and saw this scumbag try to grab a kid off the playground. i chased him down and held him until the cops arrived. hamish saw it. asked me if i wanted to join the brotherhood."

"asked?" questioned jack, asking being a foreign thing to him when it came to wolf stuff.

"yeah. he gave me this big speech about power and responsibility, and i was like, "dude, are you talking about superpowers?" and he said, "maybe." and i said, "sign me up." then they took me into the hide locker and greybeard chose me." explained randall.

"and you didn't know about the wolf part until then?" asked jack and randall shook his head, "nah."

"and you weren't pissed?"

"are you kidding? what would you say if someone asked you if you wanted to be a superhero?" answered randall making jack roll his eyes, "i don't know cause no one asked me."

cassidy whistled, "someone's a sour wolf."

jack glared at her but saw her eyes glued to the other boy in the room and made a mental note of it. he rolled his eyes and looked back at randall, who wasn't speaking after jacks last statement.

"THEN THERE WAS THIS OLD LADY WHO TURNED HER HUSBAND INTO SOME KIND OF ZOMBIE SERVANT. found him with his hands around the mailman's neck, so naturally i decapitate him. so, i tracked down the wife. one quick flick to her carotid and she's spraying a jackson pollack all over the wall in her own blood."

"cool." mumbled jack, uncomfortable with liliths story.

"and i came across three practitioners in the forest, they'd just sacrificed some rando. rip the first ones neck out with my teeth while i clawed the other two down simultaneously." chuckled lilith making jack flinch a bunch, "so your battle tactic is basically "kill them all?"

"you go with what works."

jack looked at cassidy, "how are you not fazed by anything she says?" cassidy shrugged, "she's always been violent. even before i knew about the killing thing. oh! there was this one time-"

"i don't wanna hear it."

THE WHOLE GROUP WAS SAT IN THE KNIGHTS LIVING ROOM. cassidy had chosen not to learn how to make a cocktail with hamish and jack earlier and instead stayed in the basement reading.

jack walked around trying to get silverback to come out. "it's no use." sighed jack before lilith replied, "try again."

"we've been here all night." complained jack making cassidy roll her eyes and lilith respond, "your point?"

"it's not gonna work. i can't wolf out unless i hear that damn ringing. i can't control it."

cassidy shrugged, "i can make you hear the ringing."

lilith gave her best friend a look, "no cassie. it's cause you're throttling down when you should be giving it some gas."

randall offered a point of view, "don't think of it as losing control. you're gaining control."

"of what? my homicidal nature?" countered jack before lilith snapped, "your strength, dumbass." "lil. just let silverback out. accept everything he feels, wants, remembers." explained hamish.

"and if all else fails i can just do a quick spell and boom you're a wolf." lilith gave cassidy a small glare while randall offered her some of his snacks, which she gladly took.

"accept what i did to professor clarke?" questioned jack and hamish nodded, "yes, exactly."

lilith looked at jack, "whether you do this or not is up to you. but you have to choose it." "okay. okay, i'm listening." stated jack making lilith nod, "okay. close your eyes. fee the itch moving through you. can you feel it?"

"yeah."

"okay, chase it. grab it." advised lilith, making jack open his eyes, "randall said to go with the flow."

"randall's an idiot." easily replied lilith making randall look at her a bit shocked, "ah, an idiot who's pre-med."

"look, we all have our own experiences with transforming. find yours." bossed hamish as jack took a deep breath in and cassidy turned to randall, whispering, "you are kinda an idiot."

randall scrunched up his nose at her in fake amusement before whispering back, "oh shut up you love it."

jack took another deep breath in and tried to concentrate as randall spoke up, "how did you feel when benson was in danger?"

"worried."

"horny." mumbled cassidy to herself, catching a glimpse of hamish cracking a smile at her words.

"concerned. i didn't want her to get... hurt." there was sudden silence after jacks final word before his eyes opened to a bright blue, his ears began to grow into wolf ears, hair rapidly growing all ground him, and he became a wolf.

everyone smiled in joy, he was finally able to wolf out. the moment was quickly over as wolf jack bent down and normal jack came back with the towel around him waist.

"clarke was under some kind of magical control. and i-"

"you saved benson." finished randall before jack freaked, "i killed someone, okay?" cassidy looked over to see hamish looking at randall very angry, "you totally covered for this guy."

randall scratched the back of his neck as lilith added, "twice." equally upset.

"what does it matter? i still turned out to be right." sassed randall making cassidy bite her lip to keep herself from laughing.

"how long was i turned?" questioned jack making hamish sigh, "not long. about three seconds." cassidy shrugged, "it was pretty anticlimactic."

"at least he made it to full wolf this time." mumbled randall making lilith turn to him, "yeah, but he'll never hold the wolf unless he quits wallowing in his guilt."

randall nodded, "shes right." he quickly stood up, "you have to trust silverback."

"you keep saying that like it's separate from me." glared jack and randall nodded, "it is."

"and it isn't." added hamish making cassidy look at him confused as jack nodded sarcastically, "totally cleared that up." jack grabbed all his clothes before heading for the door, "thanks for turning me into a murderer."

lilith stood up, "what a shit show. it's a total waste of time." she went towards the bar and hamish stood up, "i'm starting to think lilith is right."

"of course i am." states lilith before taking a sip of beer. "guys. he's silverback." exclaimed randall making hamish look at him, "he's also in the order."

"you guys really need to find another reason to not trust jack because the order reason is getting annoying." mumbled cassidy as she shrank into the couch.

randall looked from cassidy to the other two, "maybe that's why silverback chose him."

cassidy stood up, "well this was fun until the end but i'm going to my dorm now. so bye." she made her way for the door but lilith grabbed her arm, "cassie you should stay here tonight... it's super late and could be kinda dangerous."

cassidy shrugged, "i'll be fine, bye." she went for the door again until he spoke up.

"cass."

cassidy stopped and turned around to look at randall. she crossed her arms over her chest while he just looked at her for a second before speaking up, "come on. just stay here so none of us worry you were kidnapped."

cassidy sighed before nodding her head and walking back into the room. when she was close enough, randall pulled cassidy into his side with a smile, "slumber party!"

cassidy laughed a bit before pushing herself off of him and going over and standing by lilith. lilith wrapped her free arm around cassidys shoulders, "yeah a girls only slumber party."

randall frowned a bit, making everyone laugh before the boys and girls headed their separate ways for the night.
