Evelyn POV:

-The time has finally come. The beginning of Twilight.-

That was all that kept going through my head this morning. I had started getting everything prepared for this moment in time. For when Twilight would begin. Everything I could think of doing I did.

I made sure Bella would at least have a backbone this time and wouldn't let anyone walk all over her. Though even after all the defense classes, TaeKwonDo, and other classes Bella was still clumsy. Not as much as she was in the stories thankfully, but still quite clumsy.

The books and movies got three things right though Bella was really shy. That shyness is what made her awkward with people she didn't know. Which would make her a bit self conscious, but I would nip it in the butt every time. Before it got out of hand.

Bella also still hates anything cold and wet. So when we were younger I came up with a brilliant idea. We would spend half the summer in Washington with Charlie and the other half with Sookie in Louisiana. Being the "mom" of my new family I made sure Adele was alright with this, which she was, then told Charlie.

Charlie thought it was a brilliant plan since he was the Chief of Police, he was always busy. Being as young as we were at the time, he didn't like the thought of leaving us home alone. Even as quiet as a small town like Forks was.

Bella loved this idea as well because it meant she wouldn't be in cold rainy Forks all summer and she would get to see Sookie too. So none of the "adults" would worry about how much money this would cost each summer I would cover it. Though I told Charlie and Adele that it was money my parents left me for vacation money.

True my parents left me all they owned and a lot of money in their will. I had decided long ago to only use it for emergencies, or if something called for it. Like having Charlie renovate his house to better fit all of us when I was ten.

Telling him that now that Bella and I were older we need our own rooms and he wouldn't want to share a bathroom with two teenage girls in the future. Not to mention at the age of ten I had found in my parents things a letter they had left for me and Charlie in case something happened to them. Saying to use some of the money they left behind to add on and renovate Charlie's house since he would be taking me into his home.

After reading my parents letter with Charlie, sharing a few hugs and tears together. He had agreed to renovate the house. Since it seemed Renee had rubbed off on me with my hobby at the moment being interior design. Though in reality it was more all the skills I had obtained over the years from other people's memories and abilities, but Charlie didn't need to know that. Charlie had let me have control of the renovation designs with some of his input for what he wanted.

Since I already had connections in the supernatural world. I had hired a construction company of supernaturals to do the renovation on not only Charlie's house, but the Lavellan house as well.

Since they were supernatural beings they could work faster than humans. They had a warlock use his magic to cancel out noise at night. Working all day and night to finish Charlie's house in two months.

While the house was getting done Charlie had us stay in La Push. At night I would go in my older form to check on the house and make sure everything was done to my specific requests.

The house was getting all new plumbing, electrical, floors, roof, etc. The whole house was updated, especially the horrible yellow kitchen. Why Renee would paint it that ugly yellow I would never understand. All the windows, walls, and doors were sturdier than human made ones. They were all reinforced and bulletproof.

Not to mention the new security system that was installed that could even detect sups (another word for supernaturals). Plus my added elven fae magic that would make it impossible for any sups, even Cold Ones, to come in the house without an invitation from either me or Charlie. They could also be easily uninvited by one of us. -I can't wait to see the look on Edward's face... When he can't enter the house all stalker-ish to watch Bella sleep.-

The attic was being converted into my new room in the Swan's house. With a bathroom and walk-in closet. Though I use my elven fae magic to soundproof my room. Making it to where no one could hear what was said, or done in my room. While I could hear all that was happening outside my room.

I also had a small light proof room built into my room just in case. I figured if I ever had some vampire that came over that couldn't leave before sunrise. It is better than having to burying themselves in very wet soil. I could even use it as a panic room to protect my small family.

I also made sure to make Charlie's room a bit bigger to add a master bathroom and closet. As well as improve the hallway bathroom for Bella.

The basement was made into a home gym with workout equipment and a boxing ring. All made possible with a little magic. I planned to keep up on Bella's self defense and knew Charlie would appreciate not having to pay for a gym membership anymore, he liked to keep in shape for his work.

With the house repainted, everything updated, and refurbished with the new furniture I had bought. It was amazing and hilarious seeing my family's reaction to it being done in so little time.

Thinking of all I had done to prepare for what's to come as I finished preparing breakfast for Renee, Phil and Bella. -Got to love being an Elven Fae. With the thinking capacity even greater than a vampire's and eidetic memory. I'm probably one of the smartest people on the planet.-

I had also helped Bella pack her suitcase last night and placed it with my two suitcases in the trunk of the car early this morning.

Plating the last waffle and placing all the food at the table. I had made waffles, eggs, bacon, fresh made orange juice and coffee had just finished brewing. "FOOD IS READY!! Get it while it's hot!!" I had called out loud.

With my super hearing I could hear Renee groan and Phil chuckling at her. -I'm glad Renee finally found the right guy for her. Phil's a good guy. I know I can rely on him to take care of her.-

I remember having a talk with him after he had asked me and Bella for her hand in marriage. How I was the "mom" of the family and if he was serious about being married to Renee. That it will be a lot of work for him. If Bella and I ever decided to live with Charlie or leave for college. That he would have to take over the responsibilities I had.

He took it pretty well since he had already been with Renee for six months. He knew how our household worked and he was ok with it. Once he was married to Renee he had taken over balancing Renee's checkbook and paying bills.

I'm also glad for the couples cooking classes I had suggested a year ago for one of their date nights. That they still go to every other Friday night. Since Renee enjoyed meeting new people every time. As well as the alcohol they would get to drink with the food they prepared themselves to eat. -I am especially happy for those cooking classes now that Bella & I are going to Charlie's and I know Phil is too.-

A thud and a low groan from upstairs broke me out of my thoughts. Before anything could be said a "I'm ok!" Came from Bella's room. Giggling to myself I decided to take a quick shower and get ready for the plane ride to Washington.

By the time I had finished I could see Bella outside the window of my old room digging up a little cactus. I made sure everything I needed for the flight was in my backpack and went downstairs. Then out the door to give Bella a few words of encouragement.

As soon as I got to her I wrapped my arms around her waist from behind. -How is it that I'm the older one and I'm still shorter than Bella? At least Bella is only taller than me by two inches...-

This caused her to jump a little in place. "JESUS!! Evelyn are you trying to give me a heart attack being all quiet?! I got to put a bell on you or something!" Bella screeched out being careful to not prick herself with the cactus in her hands. Making me giggle and I could tell without seeing her face that she was rolling her eyes at me.

"Oh come on! Hells Bells, don't worry so much! It's going to be great living in Forks. We get to spend time with Charlie and see our friends in La Push." I told her as I pulled away to face her. A small smile appeared on Bella's face after mentioning our friends in La Push.

She was friends with most of the younger kids like Jacob, Quil, Embry and Seth. While I was friends with  Sam, Paul, Jared and Leah. Though we both hung out with the Black twins before they left La Push.

"True and if we live in Forks that means Renee can spend time with Phil. She won't be sad being left behind to stay with us." Bella sighed out and I had to agree with her. A sad Renee was hard to deal with, not to mention infuriating.

"We also won't have to accidentally walk in on them having intimate moments in random places, if we are at Forks." I said scrunching up my nose. Both Bella and I shivered in disgust remembering the time we came home and found them in a compromised position on the couch. -I had to deep clean that couch twice with magic... To be safe... Just thinking about it gives me the chills in an eww way.-

Trying to get both our minds off such disturbing topics I pointed down to the cactus. "So why are you bringing this again?" I asked her. "To remind me of Phoenix." Bella said plainly as she stared at said cactus. "Pictures aren't enough for you?" I ask her with a raised eyebrow. Bella just stared at me like I was dumb. Then rolled her eyes at me. -Rude! Teenagers I swear...-

That's when our mother/godmother, Renee Dwyer, walked out of the house. Approaching us with her cellphone in hand. -I have never met someone so technology challenged. Adele can even text and Skype me!-

"It won't work again, babies..." Renee complained with a sheepish expression. Causing Bella to reach for the phone to see what's wrong with it. An amused smile spread on Bella's face.

"That's because you have it on hold, Mom." Bella explained trying to keep a straight face passing the phone to Me. "I did?" Renee questioned with confusion as she observed us.

"And look..." I paused, a small smirk came on my face as she glanced towards me. "You also called Mexico." I said with suppressed laughter. "Very funny..." Renee retorts with a smile as I hand her the cellphone back. Causing the three of us to laugh.

"I'll figure it out. You girls gotta be able to reach me and Phil on the road... I love saying that... On the road." Renee said with a cheesy smile on her face.

"Very romantic." Bella muses with a small smile directed at her excited mother. "If you call crappy motels, backwater towns, and ballpark hotdogs romantic." Phil Dwyer, Renee's husband, taunts with a smile as he walks over to us. Placing his baseball cap on Renee's head as they smile at each other and share a small peck on the lips.

"Now, you know if you change your mind. We'll race back here from wherever the game is..." Renee said with a strained smile. While looking at Bella. Knowing full well I would be fine since I like Forks.

"I won't change my mind..." Bella tried to sound convincing with a forced smile on her face. To reassure her mother. "You might, you haven't lived in Forks for a long time. You might not like living there, Bella..." Renee said with uncertainty.

Causing both Bella and I to frown a bit at that. "I'm not moving to Forks for the scenery, Mom... I want to spend more time with Dad." Bella admits with a small smile to Renee.

-At least with me being around Bella's and Charlie's relationship is not as awkward as it would be without me here.-

"I mean only half of summer vacation each year... I feel like I barely see him and once I graduate. It will be harder to see him when I start going to college." Bella said getting a little shy with all of our attention on her.

"Bella needs to go Auntie. She'll be fine. Plus I will be with her to keep her safe." I told Renee, smiling reassuringly at her. Managing to ease Renee's concerns.

Without further hesitation we all got in Phil's Station Wagon. I looked out the window at the retreating visual of our Arizona home, smiling with anticipation to see Uncle Charlie and all my friends in Washington.
