3rd Person POV:

Jasper and Evelyn had pulled apart from their kiss both breathing heavily, their lips barely a hair's breadth away from one another. Evelyn could feel Jasper's cold breath against her lips. Her lips are still tingling from his kiss and everywhere his skin touches hers, she could feel sparks of pleasure shoot through her. -At the sametime the void once in my heart feels a little smaller and I know once I meet my other mates it will be completely gone. I will be whole, but for now I'm glad to have Jasper. I knew from the stories a bit of his past, but after seeing it for my own eyes. I am so proud he was able to go through so much pain and come out a stronger better man for it.-

"As much as I want to complete our mating bond..." Evelyn started saying, stopping when Jasper looked like he was going to argue. She placed her finger upon his lips, silencing him with a reassuring smile. "I'm not rejecting you, love. I know you can feel the love that I'm starting to feel for you blossom in me, but if you like I can make your gift of empathy stronger like mine. Which will also give you more control." Evelyn spoke softly to Jasper, projecting her feelings of love and honesty to him.

-I'm blown away by how amazing my mate is... She is not disgusted by my scars and she hasn't rejected me. She in fact is starting to fall in love with me. Not only telling me so, but letting me feel it as well. She hasn't hid her emotions from me once, since finding out we are mates. Now she is offering to make my gift as strong as hers, which means ten times stronger than how my gift is now. She says I will get more control if I do, but how if my empathy gets stronger won't it be harder?-

"Darling, if you make my empathy stronger, what will it change? How will I have more control?" Jasper asked her, curiously. She couldn't help, but smile at his curiosity. -He is definitely my mate. I have always been a curious person by nature. Always wanting all the facts and information. Learning all I could, it's what attracted spirits of Wisdom and Knowledge to me back in Thedas.- "Of course my cowboy." She teasingly said, making Jasper chuckle at her. "Essentially, your gift of empathy will be as strong as mine. I can turn off and on my abilities at will, so you will be able to as well. I can also keep my empathic gift on at all times, but everyone else's feelings will feel mute compared to my own. Meaning that though I still can feel others' emotions, they won't influence my own. I can't mistake other people's emotions as my own." Evelyn said, looking at Jasper, knowing it's a lot to take in.

-That would change everything for me and for the better. To be able to turn off and on my empathy and even keep it on without being influenced by all the feelings. Being able to stay calm when Alice gets excited over one of her shopping trips. Hell, not being affected by the mated Cullens' lusting over each other in the house would be wonderful.-

"Also no one can truly hide what they feel from me. For with my empathy, I also get a special sight to see people's emotional auras." Evelyn said, breaking Jasper out of his thoughts. Shocking him with how much greater her empathic gift was than his. "How does that work exactly?" Jasper asked in an awed voice. "Where others can successfully hide what they feel from other empaths by projecting false feelings. They can't with my empathic sight. There is no hiding from it for people have no control over their auras. With this sight, I can see the auras of those around me. Each emotion has its own unique color, if someone tries to project a false emotion that emotion's color will have an outline to it." Evelyn explained, Jasper nodded his understanding for her to continue.

"A white outline is basically for 'white lies' the person intent is innocent, or rather they don't want to cause harm so they lied. When the outline starts to go gray when the false emotions are mischievous, still lies, but considered harmless fun by the person. Though the darker the outline the darker the intentions of the person. Black is deceit meaning the person intends to either harm the person or doesn't care if their deceitful lies hurt the other as long as they get what they want." Evelyn's voice darkened at the end. "Thanatos, I hate deceitful people that don't care for others and my gut is telling me that's how the Golden Duo are. I really hope my gut is wrong, but better safe than sorry. It's why I decided to put my spymaster runes in the Cullens' house. I should also put it in their cars too when we head back... That is why I never let any sups' gifts or senses work on me. I tend to be paranoid and distrustful of those I don't know." Evelyn explained, wanting him to understand why she did what she did earlier at the Cullens.

-Our mate is like us. A true warrior and always visualent. Watching out for enemies and strategies put in place to help take out the enemy. She is perfect for us.- Major approve of their mate's way of thinking. "So that's why none of our gifts or senses were able to sense you?" Jasper asked, causing Evelyn to nod at him. "That is quite smart darling. It's always better to play things safe  and I would have to agree with your gut feeling. I don't trust the pixie and mind rapist either. Would you allow me access to what your runes pick up as well? I only joined the Cullens because Peter said it would lead me to you and I trust Peter's know-it-all gift more than any vision Alice has ever had. Not to mention the animal diet also helped me not have to feel my hunt's feelings..." Jasper whispered towards the end.

Evelyn pulled Jasper to her and hugged him, pouring out her feelings of understanding, acceptance and love to him. Jasper gasped at how strong her feelings were and what she felt for him. He wrapped his arms tightly around her, knowing she could handle his strength. -Will she never cease to amaze me?- Evelyn combed her fingers through his hair in a calming motion causing a deep purr to erupt from Jasper's chest. -Did I just purr? I never purred before?!- -Idiot our kind only purrs for our mates and she is our mate!- Major spoke slowly to make sure Jasper understood which annoyed Jasper. Then both were shocked out of their mental argument when they heard and felt a purr vibration from Evelyn.

While still caressing his hair with her fingers she spoke up. "There is no reason to feel guilty, cowboy. You are a Cold One, it's your nature to feed on blood to survive. Even then you fight your very nature because you are a good person. You are not a monster..." Evelyn purred out to comfort her mate and place a hand on his mouth when he went to argue. "No Jasper you are no monster even with your past in the SVWs. You were controlled and manipulated by your sire to do all those things. You did what you had to do to survive, you're a survivor not a monster. Every being needs to eat to survive, so what you feed on blood. In Ancient Arlathan some animals were sentient beings that could speak and feel like you and me. Yet the elven still hunted them for food and sport. I may have never hunted them myself, but I still part took from the meals they made. If you choose to make your gift like mine it would make feeding from humans easier. I would not condemn you if you chose to feed off humans again. I would only ask you to feed off scum that deserve death." Evelyn finished saying with her hand upon his cheek. Jasper leaned into it with a sigh of relief.

-She doesn't think I am a monster and she wouldn't hate me if I chose to feed on humans. I love this woman more with each passing moment.- "Thank you darling, you don't know how much that means to me. For now though I think I will stick to the animal diet for while we are here. I would love for you to enhance my empathic ability to your level. It would make things easier especially since I know your plan to stay here a while longer meaning we have to go to highschool..." Jasper said with distaste at the end making Evelyn giggle. "If it makes you feel better I can use my abilities to go to the school now and make it so our schedules match." Evelyn said as she waved her hand. Using her dreamer ability to make the shadow clone jutsu from Naruto real, making a copy of herself stand before them.

Jasper's eyes widened and his jaw fell to the floor with his surprise. -She can multiply herself... Oh the things we could do...- With that thought came other thoughts of what they could do together with such an ability. Both her and her copy smiled at Jasper's reaction and the lust darkening his eyes. "Later my cowboy." Evelyn said with a wink. Then turned to her copy, who was awaiting her orders. "Go to Forks high and change our schedules to match each other's. Make it look like they did it by putting a note in their system saying Jasper volunteered to be our guide. Make sure Bella still has a majority of her classes with us as well please." She commanded and the clone nodded then disappeared before their eyes to complete her task.

Evelyn turned back to Jasper and placed her hand upon his face. Waking him from his lust filled haze. "Don't worry Love, we will get to experiment with that ability later. For now let me enhance your empathy. You will also see soon that after sharing each other's memories that we each have gained skills the other had. So you will know exactly how the improvements to the gift work and how to control it completely like me." Evelyn told him. Jasper nodded at her explanation then took the hand Evelyn offered him. She gave him a cheeky smile and pulled him down to her, wrapping her arms around his neck and heatedly kissing him. Jasper moaned into the kiss placing his hands on her hips pulling her even closer to him.

While he got lost in the kiss he didn't notice that Evelyn ran her tongue against his sharp teeth cutting it. Until he tasted her blood on his tongue causing him to panic a bit and try to pull away. Though she held on tightly to him, not letting go. Through her emotions he could tell she was trying to tell him it was ok and it was intentional. So he relaxed and continued kissing her. When she did it again he moaned at the taste of her blood. -This is the best blood I have ever tasted. It's sweet like chocolate, but with a bit of spices mixed in. Even though it's the best blood I ever had I don't want to drain her. If anything it makes me want to take her here on the forest floor, but I want our first time together to be special and unforgettable.-

As Jasper was lost in the sweet taste of his mate's blood and kiss. Evelyn had been weaving her magic into her blood with her intentions to enhance his gift to her level, to make it so he would never shine in the sun again -I know he hates that he sparkles from his memories.- and she poured her intention to make his bloodlust practically nonexistent. -I know he feels so much guilt and shame for his bloodlust. Being with the Cullens has made it to where he had no confidence in his self control. Now he won't have to worry about it. His bloodlust will never control him again. He will know when he needs to feed, but he won't ever lose control again if a human 'cough' Bella 'cough' gets even a papercut in front of him.-

Jasper could feel the changes in his gift as Evelyn fed him her blood. -So that's why she is using her blood to do it, but I think she is also doing something else with it. Her blood is infused with her magic and from her memories the times she enhanced someone's gift. She just used her magic, placing her hand on their heads. So the blood is for something else. Didn't her blood do something if freely given?- Jasper thought to himself then it hit him. Remembering that her blood didn't only heal, but if given to a vampire or Cold One. It would make it so they wouldn't burn or shine in the sun and make bloodlust nonexistent. Being her mate he knew she would make it permanent for him. -So she is using her blood knowing how I hate to sparkle and miss being in the sun. Making it easier for me to have to be around the humans with my bloodlust.-

Once it was all done and Evelyn could tell it was all permanent, she released Jasper's lips from her own. The wound on her tongue was already completely closed once again. Pulling back from one another they smiled at one another. "Thank you darling, I can't wait for the next sunny day to come to spend it with you now knowing I won't sparkle." Jasper chuckled out. "No need to thank me hun, you're my mate and I wanted to do it. Now even though it was enough blood for what I wanted done. It shouldn't affect your eye color, but you should still go feed. While you do I will put some runes in the Cullens' cars. Then you can go check in with them. Tomorrow if you like you can come spend the night and I will show you how to access the runes." Evelyn said smiling at Jasper.

"I can't come over tonight?" Jasper asked with a pout. "Sadly no cowboy, I left Bella asleep in my bed. She was nervous for school in the morning and came to my room for cuddles. Only reason I was able to leave her is because I used my magic to put her into a deep sleep." She explained to him. "I promise though that tomorrow if you want you can spend the whole night with me. I will probably spend most of tomorrow night making sure everything is good at the Lavellan house, but you can come with me. I will probably spend most of my nights there anyways." Evelyn said, wrapping her arms around Jasper's neck. "That's perfectly fine darling. Go spend the rest of the night with your cousin, but tomorrow night you are all mine." Jasper growled out, kissing her possessively.

After another long make out session they said their farewells till tomorrow and went their separate ways. Jasper to hunt and maybe to jump into the cold river to cool off. Evelyn went to the Cullens' really fast and put a rune in each vehicle. Then headed back to the Swan house entering through her balcony glass door.

Evelyn POV:

I went into my room seeing Bella still sleeping peacefully on my bed and smiled at her. I looked at the time and saw I still had two hours before Charlie got up for work. So I headed to my bathroom stripped out of my clothes and snapped my fingers sending them back clean and into the steam trunk, where they belonged. I took a quick shower and got dressed in the clothes I got ready for today. Did my hair, make-up and nails with my magic very quickly. -I will say it again I love my magic and abilities. Specially since with my magic my hair, make-up and nails will stay perfect and won't get messed up.-

After that I made sure everything I needed for school was in my backpack, even the new schedules the clone changed. I grabbed my cell phone and put it in the front pocket of my backpack then headed downstairs. Placing my backpack by the door. I head to the kitchen and I start making a pot of coffee, since Charlie will be up soon. -If I don't want a grumpy Charlie I better have coffee.- Then I start on breakfast which is pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns and fresh orange juice. -Thank the heavens for Sue, I know she made sure I had a stocked kitchen for when we came back to Forks. I will probably go visit La Push soon, maybe bake my German chocolate cake she likes so much. I can't forget to make a lot of my double chocolate chip cookies for the pack. They may have not shifted yet, but when it comes to sweets they can never get enough.- I giggle shaking my head at the thought of the boys stuffing their faces like hamsters with cookies.

I hear a car pulling up in front of the house and look out the window. It's the delivery truck with my baby, a 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 Eleanor, I had refurbished a year before Bella's truck. I went outside, signed the delivery forms and got my keys. As I entered the house and back to the kitchen to start setting the table. I saw Charlie already at the table, with his mug of coffee that said 'Don't talk to me until I've had my coffee' that I got him when I was ten for Christmas. "Good morning Uncle Charlie, food is ready I just need to set the table." I told him as I passed by. " Good morning Princess and let me help you with that since you made breakfast." He said as he got up and set the table. Then helped me bring all the food to the table. Seeing my car keys on the kitchen counter Charlie turned to me and said "Good I see your car got here just in time for you to take to school then." I nodded to him with a big smile making him chuckle at me. Then we both settled down to eat breakfast.

Once done Charlie left for work wishing me a good day at school and asked me to tell the same to Bella, for him. I then headed back upstairs to my room. I went up to Bella and shook her by her shoulder. "Hells Bells, it's time to get up and get ready for school. You have enough time to eat the breakfast I made for you, then take a quick shower and get dressed. I will wait for you so we can head to the school together ok." I said to her, as she woke up with a groan when she heard me talk about school. "Ok." She said tiredly then left my room to go eat and get ready

All eyes turned to our cars as we parked next to one another in the school parking lot. As I get down from my car I can feel a lot of eyes following me to Bella's truck. I reach my hand in my backpack and summon Bella's and my schedules into my hand. -Unlike the story Bella's truck doesn't backfire because I fixed up the truck. Thank Thor's shiney hammer that I did since our cars look great.-

Bella gets out of her truck nervously looking around at all the staring faces. "They have a staring problem.." she mutters under her breath to me. I turn around and glare at them. "Didn't your mamas teach you all its rude to stare?" I scolded them all, making them all turn away. That seemed to relieve Bella, but she was still blushing a bit with embarrassment. "Here is your schedule, we still have to head to the office for our locker numbers and lock combinations. It looks like we have our first periods next door to each other so we can walk there together. Remember if anyone bothers you to let me know and I can sort it out, but if you don't want me to then you have to speak up for yourself Bells." I told Bella, in what she called my "mom" voice.

As we passed Tyler Crowley and his friends hanging out in his van, he hollered out to us. "Hey! Nice rides!" When we turned to face him as we passed. He made a certain face he probably thought made him look handsome, when in reality it made him look constipated. "Thanks." Bella quickly murmured shyly. Not liking the attention, but answering before I said anything rude and sarcastic. Then she grabbed my arm and pulled me to the office.

Jasper POV:

Once I had finished my hunt Evelyn's clone appeared before me holding out some papers to me. "I was able to change your schedule to match mine. I also put a note into their system that you agreed to show me around since we had the same schedule. As it turns out the new schedule I made for Bella matches Emmett's. So to make it seem like you were told long ago about this. I also put a note saying you were asked to tell Emmett the same and you agreed. You can tell the Cullens that you forgot by using the excuse of your bloodlust 'scoff' even though you probably had better control then any of them even before my blood. Since you were constantly feeling theirs and your own bloodlust on an animal diet that leaves you all unsatisfied and you did not kill anyone." Evelyn's clone clicked her tongue as she spoke of the Cullens' treatment of me.

-It warms my dead heart that even her clone is exactly like her and upset over how the Cullens' treat me like a weak link.- She smiled at me like she knew what I was thinking. "Just because I'm a clone doesn't mean I am any less than the original. I am exactly like her in every way and when I poof out of existence all my memories go to her like if she had been the one in my place. Even now her and I are connected mentally." She explained to me with a warm smile on her face. "In fact she wanted me to tell you when I brought you the new schedule that we can have a mental link that will always keep us connected as well. That we both would still have our own space in our heads and have privacy. For only the thoughts we project to one another are heard by the other." Evelyn number two explained. -She must know how I don't like Edward invading my privacy in my mind, but still wanted to offer the link. Most likely to make the mating pull easier on us if we are still connected mentally. Easing the pull a bit when we have to be physically apart. Then letting me know even with the link she won't go into my mind without permission.-

"That sounds good, darling." I said with a reassuring smile. "That's great! I also wanted to ask if I could place my sigil on you? It would make placing the mental link easier for I can just add it on to the sigil. I can conceal it for now under an illusion till we decide to let the Cullens know who I am. My sigil shows all that you are one of my protected ones. This is true, but it also has protection charms weaved into it that will protect you from both physical and mental harm. Meaning no one's gifts will work on you unless you allow it." Evelyn said with a sly smirk at the end, making me smirk as well. -I like the way she thinks. Now I won't have to constantly be careful with what I think and decide. Not to mention it's a way for my mate to mark me as hers. I can't say I don't like the thought of that, but it is a good idea to hide it from the Cullens for now.- "I don't mind you placing your sigil on me darling. I love the idea of you marking me as yours..." I said stepping closer to her and placing my lips against her ear. "Though I would like to return the favor eventually and mark you as mine as well." I said in a husky voice, smirking when I saw her shivering at what I said.

"I can't wait for the day you do and we complete our bond." She purrs out, wrapping her arms around my neck. As I place my hands on her hips. When she starts leaning up for a kiss I follow her lead, but right before our lips touch she turns her head. Kissing my neck right below my right ear. I feel her magic sinking to my skin there filling me with a feeling of being home and with that I know I now wear her sigil. Even if no one will be able to see it for now.

Then she pulls away from me with a teasing smile and waves her fingers at me. "See you at school handsome." She said with a wink and disappeared in a poof of smoke. -That little minx, I will get her back for that later. For now I better head back and deal with the drama waiting for me.-

I was standing in the parking lot of the school with the rest of my "family" already fed up with them. When I had come back from my hunt the Golden Duo were quick to get on my case for not being able to sense me with their gifts. I played it off right away making it seem as if I were confused and hadn't done anything else, but hunt.

-Fuck.. Having to listen to those two whines till we got here at school was hell. Not to mention telling them all that Emmett and I had to be tour guides to the new students was horrible. It was easy to lie to them like Evelyn said. All I had to do was say that I wasn't really paying much attention to what was asked at the time. With the nurse office being a door away from the front office. I made it seem like there was a bleeding human in there and I had agreed to be able to get out of there as soon as possible. There was arguing, but after pointing out that Emmett and I couldn't get out of it without looking suspicious to the humans. It was dropped and Carlisle being the "father" told us to be careful.-

All heads seem to turn when two cars, that no one ever seen before, pulled into the parking lot. Both seem to be older cars that had been refurbished to look as they did in their hay day and both seem mechanically sound. -Those are Bella's and Evelyn's. I remember she fixed them both up from her memories and she did a wonderful job. Even if the soon to be mutt helped her with Bella's truck.- As soon as Evelyn came out of her Shelby, I was flooded with envy from most of the girls and lust from most of the boys and some girls. -MINE! How dare they lust for our mate!- Major roared in my head and I couldn't blame him. I was upset as well.

-Don't worry Major, they will soon know who she belongs to. I'm glad that I told the Cullens that I felt a pull in my chest while I hunted. They all knew that meant my mate was close by and thankfully, unlike the school, the Cullens knew Alice wasn't my mate. Though the pixie did throw a fit at that and again here at school. When I made a show of making it that Alice and I have never been a couple and never would be. That I had only put up with her clinginess because I was not interested in any of the girls here. Making the feelings of hope and lust I felt from the girls that overheard us die quickly. That I was tired of it and that I have only ever seen her as a sister. Since then Alice has been sulking away from me with Edward comforting her. Now I'm going to make it known to all the humans my interest in Evelyn and the Cullens will know she is my mate.-

"Looks like the new students are here and the one that came out of the Shelby is my mate." I said aloud to the Cullens around me. "Well at least she has good taste in cars, but she is human." Rosalie snootily said at the end. "I don't know Rosie, she seems too pretty to be human and she moves gracefully like us." Emmett said, causing Rose to move out of his arms as if to get closer for a better look. When all she did was take a step forward then discreetly inhaled deeply. "I'm not getting another of our kind smell, all I smell are humans." Rosalie told us. This made the pixie and virgin move closer to us. "I can't seem to read her mind and Alice can't see her. Maybe we should stay away for now till we know she isn't a danger to us." Edward said while Alice nodded along with what he said, glaring at my mate. -The demon pixie better stop looking at our mate like that before I make her!- The Major sneered, he had never trusted Alice. -As if I would ever stay away from my mate because they said so... Alice better not try anything and if she does you can do whatever you want to her Major- I could feel the Major's agreement to what I said to him. Already he started to plan what he would do to Alice if she ever did anything to our mate.

"She is my mate Edward... She is no danger to me and I will not stay away from her. Besides me and Emmett have to show her and her cousin around school. So we better catch up to them." I said as I walked away toward the front office with Emmett following me. I could feel Rosalie's caution, Edward's disapproval & annoyance for being ignored, and Alice's anger & jealousy as we walked away.

They had seemed to have just left the office and were stopped in the hall by Eric Yorkie. "Hi, you are Isabella Swan and Evelyn Lavellan, the new girls! Hi I am Eric, the eyes and ears of this place. Anything you need, a tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on." Eric said to them trying to flirt. I started seeing red when I felt his lust for my mate. I tried to walk a little faster to get to them sooner, but I had to walk at a believable human pace. -Damn it why do we have to park at the far end of the parking lot. It's going to take a bit to get to them at a human pace.-

"Bella actually and I'm really kind of the more the suffer in silence type and Evelyn... Well, Evelyn is her own person." Bella said shyly. "Good headline for the feature, I'm on the paper and you are news babes, front page." Eric said, smiling first at Bella then Evelyn not being able to look away from her. "No thanks Eric, we don't want to be on the school paper. We have enough attention on us as is and I really don't want more because of it. We also won't need your other services." Evelyn told him as nicely as she could. "Ok, cool. No feature then and are you sure I can show you to your classes." Eric said with a hopeful smile at Evelyn. -I don't think so kid she is mine.- As we finally reach them standing right behind Eric I speak up. "Actually Eric, we were asked to show the girls to their classes." I said, causing Eric to stiffen and turn to us. Ignoring him I turn to the girls and smile at my mate. "Hello darling, I'm Jasper Hale and this is my brother, Emmett Cullen. It's nice to meet you ladies." I introduced myself and Emmett. When Evelyn went to shake my hand I instead kissed the back of her hand, while looking into her eyes. Seeing her cheeks redden a bit I couldn't help the smirk that came onto my face. "Hello it is nice to meet you too. I'm Evelyn Lavellan and this is my cousin Bella Swan." Evelyn said with a blush. -This is for teasing you earlier when I gave you your new schedule isn't it?- I heard Evelyn's voice in my head. -Oh darling, I haven't even started yet...- I thought back to her.

"Well, it seems we have the same schedule darling. So I will be showing you around." I told Evelyn in front of the others. -It feels weird having to pretend that we are meeting for the first time right now.- Hearing this I projected my agreement to her. "Yeah and we have the same schedules too Bella. So you get the cooler brother showing you around." Emmet said with a big smile to Bella. "Thanks Emmett." Bella told him, then looked at Evelyn. She gave Bella an encouraging smile to show they would be ok. -I can tell Evelyn had already used her gift to see if Emmett was a threat and saw through his memories that he wasn't. Why else would she make sure they had similar schedules out of all the Cullens.- "We got it from here Eric. Since we all have our first period together. How about we go together?" I suggested it to the group, which they all agreed with me. I wrapped my arm around my mate's waist and led the way to our first period and away from a stunned Eric and onlookers. -That's right y'all, Evelyn is mine.-

Wow, that was a long chapter. I'm working on what comes next, but I don't know when I will post it.
