Glorybringer Part 2

Hey guys! This is part two of my Glorybringer earlier in the book, I didn't want it to be super long so I cut it into two parts, here's the second one. Enjoy!

Glory breathed in the cool air, finally feeling the humidity of the rainforest again. It had been two weeks since she's left to JMA, and the need to see Deathbringer was almost killing her. She still couldn't believe she'd agreed to leave right after she'd told him how she felt. In some ways, it felt like a long distance love, the kind that still makes you love them but you don't want to be close. The rainforest came into view under her, and she smiled. Swooping down, she flew through the trees, agile as she dodged branches and other Rainwings. Deathbringer was waiting on her pavilion. He beamed when she landed. Glory raced towards him, throwing herself into his wings. Deathbringer laughed. "You missed me, huh?" He says with the smug smile that had made Glory fall in love with him. Glory looked at him seriously. He smiled again, this time less smug. "I missed you." He said, and Glory's gaze relaxed. She sank into his wings, enjoying the feeling of their scales pressed together. She looked up at him lovingly, realizing how much she truly, truly loved this dragon. She would spend her life with him in a heartbeat, no questions and no regrets. Glory lifted her head towards his, gently placing her lips on his. Deathbringer just sat there for a while before finally kissing her back. Glory never wanted to pull away from that moment, when she and her one and only were together, where nothing could come between them and they could live in the moment. It was over all too soon. Deathbringer gently pulled himself away from Glory preparing to fly away. "Where are you going?" Glory asked, her voice slightly slurred from happiness. Deathbringer grinned. "I'm getting something ready." He said vaguely, giving Glory one last short kiss before diving off the platform.

Deathbringer soared through the Rainforest, nimble as a Rainwing. He landed in a clear patch covered by a canopy of trees, letting in just enough light for it to be bright. He laid something down on the soft grass and placed a rose next to it. Making sure to hide the entrance to the secret cove, he left, flying back to where the dragon he loved most was waiting.

Glory spotted the dark speck of Deathbringer before he was close to the platform. When he landed, she gave him a quick smile before twining her tail with his. Deathbringer smiled, placing his nose on hers. "Come with me." He said, gesturing towards the trees. "I have something to show you." Glory followed Deathbringer off the platform through a winding path through the rainforest. They stopped at a vine-covered rock, and Glory frowned. "I was expecting a little more." She said slowly. Deathbringer grinned and pulled back the vine, revealing the entrance to a secret cove. Inside were two things lying in the center of a grassy circle. A pretty rose with red petals streaked with green and blue, a a tiny square box. Glory walked in and picked up the box, taking off the top carefully. Inside was a pretty silver ring, dotted with black stars. Glory gasped and looked back at Deathbringer, who was standing behind her. "You like it?" He asked nervously. "I was thinking maybe it could be the start.....of, a life together." Glory gave a big smile, happy tears welling in her eyes. She kissed Deathbringer, sliding the silver ring onto her talon. "I would love to spend my life with you." She said simply, and Deathbringer smiled. "I love you." He said. "And I'll be loving you forever."

Hey guys!! Part 2 of Glorybringer is out, this is the LAST Glorybringer in this book. (Sorry) Anyway, I hope you liked it, stay flappy!
