"chenle!" jisung whisper-yelled as his best friend giggled out loud. "we can't do that!"
"of course, we can!" the smaller boy replied.
chenle's grip on his wand tightened as he opened the door of the hufflepuff common room and slipped outside, jisung on his heels.
"i'm not sure this is a good- "
"lumos!" chenle exclaimed, making the tip of his wand lighten.
"too much light, chenle!" jisung whispered, trying to hide the white light coming from his best friend's wand.
it was the middle of the night, and they all knew that no student should hang out in the corridors after 10:00pm, which was exactly what they were doing at the moment.
"jisung, stop agitating, you're going to make us busted." chenle told, his free hand intertwining with jisung's as he pulled the boy across the corridor.
"b-but..."
jisung's cheeks heated at the sudden contact of chenle's hand in his, and he was rather happy that the only source of light was chenle's want, not allowing the smaller to see the prominent blush on his cheeks.
jisung followed silently as chenle dragged him across a series of stairs.
to jisung's dismay, the older boy stopped when they reached the 3rd floor.
"chenle, what are we doing here?" jisung asked, completely terrified.
being a muggle-born made jisung scared of everything he saw.
sometimes, he was glad of it, because chenle would spend hours telling him about magic and the wizard world, and during those times, jisung would see chenle being so passionate about something – which he absolutely adored.
but there were times he hated not knowing about this magical world, because chenle would do anything to show jisung about his world, even if it meant going against the laws.
and, at the moment, they were standing in front of the 3rd floor's door, and the principal had been very explicit on this place.
nobody should go there.
it was a forbidden part of hogwarts.
he hadn't mentioned why though.
"alohomora!" chenle said, his wand pointing at the door which magically opened right after this.
"chenle, no!" jisung whispered.
"jisung, now that we're here, we have to go." chenle explained.
"why do you want to know what is there? it is forbidden." jisung looked around, making sure that no one was there.
"i already know what's in here." chenle replied. "i just want to show you."
"what?!"
"shhh!"
jisung got startled when a painting nearby hushed him after his sudden outburst.
he turned around again, placing his attention on chenle.
"you do know what they're hiding in there?" jisung repeated, much calmer.
"yeah. most pure-bloods do."
"you're a half-blood, chenle." jisung said.
"my mother told me."
"what is it?"
"come and see." chenle smirked before slipping inside.
jisung didn't have much choice.
he followed his best friend inside, carefully walking behind him.
chenle looked at the walls of the corridor surrounding them, smiling when he recognized the faces of important hogwarts students or professors.
at the end of the corridor, another large door stopped them.
this time, no spell was needed to open it. chenle simply pushed the handle down and opened it wide.
"woah..." jisugn let out, his eyes glued on the three objects that seemed to be levitating in the air, lightened by a soft lamp, contrasting with the rest of the room which was completely dark.
"jisung, these are the deathly hollows. the three objects needed to become the most powerful wizard."

"jeno?" mark's voice called in the darkness of their shared room.
"hmm?"
"are you sleeping?"
mark saw the shadow of jeno's head poking out from under the covers.
"you're thinking too loud, i can't sleep."
"sorry."
mark lied on his back; his eyes glued on the golden tapestry decorating the ceiling.
jeno looked at him, expecting the older boy to talk, or just tell him something, but mark seemed too busy staring at nothing to say anything.
"mark?"
"yeah." the boy replied, his eyes never leaving the tapestry.
"do you want to share what's bugging you?"
the older boy finally turned his head, meeting jeno's eyes despite the dark room.
"do you remember the slytherins we bumped into the day we were supposed to go to hogsmeade?"
jeno snorted.
how could he forget about that?
this bratty slythering had insulted him.
"yeah. i hate them. acting as if they own the place." jeno rolled his eyes. "i didn't even ask to be a wizard in the first place."
"that's true."
"i don't get why i get discriminated against, when i'm not even willing to stay like that. and those selfish and racist slytherins can't understand that. not everyone is like them!"
"i thought the same yesterday." mark replied, looking back at the ceiling.
jeno sat up on his bed, giving all his attention to the older wizard.
"mark, what is the problem?"
"there were two slytherins." mark told. "the bratty black-haired, and a brunette."
"yeah."
"the brunette is a muggle-born. just like you."
jeno's eyes widened at the sudden information. "like me? why would he diss muggles then?"
mark sighed, sitting on his bed as well, and facing jeno.
"that's the problem, jeno." he told. "this boy didn't diss us. he kept silent. and i acted like a bitch when i saw him yesterday."
"what?" jeno raised a brow, not understanding what mark was talking about.
"i met him in the corridor, and i kind of scolded him for being racist and mean towards muggles. and i did scold him pretty bad." mark explained. "he told me that he was a muggle, and that he would never be like his other slytherin friend. plus, he yelled at me because he was feeling sick and i had bothered him to tell him things that didn't concern him at all."
jeno stayed silent for a few seconds, registering everything that mark just explained to him.
"wow..." he let out.
"i feel so bad for scolding him..." mark hid his face in his palms.
"well... you didn't know about it, mark." jeno shrugged.
"yeah, but i was mean to him."
"i'm sure he'll understand if you explain everything to him and apologize."
mark nodded, sighing loudly.
"i hope so..."
"now go back to bed and sleep. we'll deal with that tomorrow."
