"why would a muggle be in the library of hogwarts?" jaemin asked, leaning against the heavy shelves full of old books.

his eyes were glaring at jeno who was reading a dusty book.

the muggle-born didn't even raise his head. he was used to jaemin's constant blabber right now, and it was as if his mean words didn't harm him anymore.

"why don't you go bother other people, na?" jeno asked.

"because you're the one bothering me."

"i'm doing absolutely nothing to bother you." jeno replied, completely uninterested.

"you being there bothers me." jaemin spat.

"well, leave then."

jaemin scoffed at jeno's audacity, snatching the book he was reading from his grip. he closed it in a loud thud, making dust fly in the air.

"the magical guide of the deathly hollows" jaemin read the title of the book. "why are you even reading this book?" he raised a brow.

"can't i learn a bit more about my world?"

"this is not your world." jaemin insisted. "mugblood."

"it is."

"muggles aren't even supposed to know about those three things." jaemin said with a head motion towards the cover of the book which had the three hollows neatly drawn.

"why are you this bothered by the fact i am reading this book?" jeno crossed his arms over his chest.

"you don't even know what they are and if they are real." jaemin rolled his eyes.

"do you want me to accompany you to the third floor to see if they are real?" jeno asked sarcastically. "if no one stole them again since yesterday night, of course."

jaemin's eyes widened like saucers, and he gripped jeno's wrist, pulling him towards a less crowdy part of the library.

"how do you know that?!" jaemin whisper-yelled, approaching his face from jeno's.

the muggle-born smirked. "me having muggle parents doesn't mean that i can't be aware of what happens in the magical world, na."

"did you steal it?" jaemin asked, venom laced with his voice.

"i sure did, and of course, i am telling it to you now." jeno replied. "use your brain! are pure bloods this stupid?"

"don't dare insulting me, you could regret it."

jeno grinned. "oh, really? i'm so scared."

a cough interrupted their bickering and made them realize their current position.

they were standing very close to each other, their faces inches apart, and anyone walking past them would believe they were about to kiss if they didn't notice the furrowed brows and mean words they exchanged.

"am i... disturbing something?" donghyuck asked innocently, looking between the two bickering boys.

"yes." "no."

the two boys glared at each other before turning to look at donghyuck once again.

"no." "yes."

donghyuck snorted at their odd behaviour.

"i'll leave you two deal with... whatever you've been dealing with. and i'll find myself something to read."

donghyuck turned on his heels, ignoring the way their bickering started again immediately after he left them alone.

he walked through the alleys, not seeing a blue-haired boy approaching him.

"hey."

"ah!!" he exclaimed, getting startled by the sudden appearance.

"sorry. i didn't mean to scare you..." mark rubbed his nape shyly.

"it's okay. i didn't expect to see you there." donghyuck giggled, making a smile appear on mark's face. "what are you doing here?"

"i was looking for jeno." mark explained.

"oh, he and jaemin have some bickering going on at the moment. it seemed... weird and... intense? i don't know." donghyuck hesitated.

"should we intervene?"

donghyuck thought for a few seconds.

they could intervene.

but let's be real, between joining an argument and spending some time with this hot wizard that he had taken interest in the night before, the choice was quickly made.

"how about we stay together for some time instead?" donghyuck raised a brow.

"i would never say no to that." mark replied with a smile.

"jisung..."

the muggle-born raised his head to look at the person that had greeted him in the most unenthusiastic way possible.

turns out he mimicked this greeting when he saw who it was.

"sungchan..."

the tall slytherin boy took a seat on the grass next to him without bothering to ask him if he could or not.

not that jisung actually minded.

"what are you doing here?" jisung asked.

"same as you, i guess."

both boys allowed their eyes to stare at two other boys being all giggle a few meters away from them.

they seemed happy together, without jisung and sungchan.

it was as if jisung and sungchan weren't needed by their best friends.

"your shotaro is glued to my chenle." jisung stated as he saw shotaro placing a flower crown he had made on chenle's head.

"well, my sotaro wouldn't act like that if your chenle wasn't this touchy in the first place." sungchan argued back, when chenle gave the older boy a hug to thank him.

"how desperate we can be..." jisung mumbled to which sungchan nodded.

"shotaro and i met 6 years ago." sungchan said after a while.

"8 years ago, for chenle and i."

"i befriended him because he was bullied." sungchan continued.

"he came to me because i was new in town."

"he relied on me a lot, because i protected him." singhcan added.

"i tried to push him away at first, but he kept coming to me, and i eventually gave in."

"i got attached to him very quickly." sungchan finished.

"and i fell in love so fast..."

sungchan's eyes left the two boys playing together to look at the hufflepuff sitting next to him.

"you love him?" he asked.

"isn't that obvious?" jisung raised a brow. "i feel like the only one who doesn't notice it is chenle himself."

sungchan nodded, looking back at shotaro and chenle.

"i didn't really want to admit it at first, but i think i'm in love with shotaro too." sungchan admitted.

"great." jisung mumbled. "now, we're two gays who have feelings for their best friends."

sungchan chuckled at the way jisung turned out his sentence.

but he wasn't entirely wrong.

"he's looking at you." sungchan warned.

"who?"

"chenle."

jisung looked up, meeting chenle's brown orbs, and getting mesmerized by their deepness.

jisung fell in a trance as he watched chenle smiling brightly, the flower crown being placed sideways on his head, making it look like he had just come down from heaven.

"you should confess." sungchan told, once chenle had gone back to giving his attention to shotaro.

"and get rejected? no, thanks." jisung said.

"have you seen how he looked at you, just now?" sungchan asked. "he loves you back. it's obvious."

"he has always looked at me like that."

"then, maybe, he has always loved you." sungchan noted.

"stop being delusional..." jisung sighed. "he seems to prefer shotaro. and if that's what makes him happy, then i'm ready to feel sad all my life..."

"don't say such- "

"sungchan! i need you right now! it's very important." a voice cut him mid-sentence.
