"chenle, get out of the bathroom! we're going to be late!"
"coming!"
jisung sighed as his best friend took another 5 minutes to get ready inside the bathroom.
chenle truly took all his time, and jisung would getlate because of him.
"chenle..."
"yes, i'm here!"
the bathroom door opened, revealing a cute chenle – pretty, handsome, beautiful, amazing... every adjective you could use to describe him, in jisung's eyes.
the chinese boy opened his arms, a big grin plastered on his face.
"ta-da!"
jisung chuckled at the sight of his best friend, ignoring his fluttering heart.
"come here." he gestured chenle to approach him.
chenle hopped to his best friend, standing in front of him with a proud smile.
"you managed to tie your necktie correctly..." jisung said, a hint of disappointment in his voice.
"shotaro taught me!" chenle giggled. "and it was pretty easy compared to what you taught me."
jisung heart broke inside his chest.
he was supposed to be the one to tie chenle's necktie every morning.
not shotaro.
he had even taught chenle the wrong way on purpose so that he could keep doing it every morning.
and now that shotaro existed, he had completely messed his plans.
"that's good..." jisung smiled lightly at his best friend.
"he asked us if we wanted to join him later. do i agree?"
chenle and shotaro seemed to be glued by the hip since they met.
they would see each other every day, and laugh together as if they had always known each other.
chenle would also teach shotaro new things about the magical world, because shotaro was a muggle-born, and he didn't know many things.
needless to say, jisung was eaten by jealousy.
his chenle was spending all his time with a boy that wasn't him.
and he absolutely hated that.
he hated shotaro's oh-so-perfect personality.
he hated his beautiful looks.
he hated all the attneiton he gave to chenle.
he hated him dearly.
but chenle didn't seem to hate him.
and this bothered jisung a lot.
but what could he do?
chenle was his best friend.
and he like his best friend.
so, the only thing that he could do was ensure his best friend's happiness.
even if this meant seeing him with shotaro.
"tell him we're coming." he mumbled, swallowing his pride, and getting mentally ready to feel his heart shattering in his chest again.

"donghyuck, you can stay at the infirmary for one more day if you don't feel well." jaemin told his best friend who was trying to walk on his own.
"jaemin, i told you i was okay." donghyuck replied, almost falling once again.
"i'm worried about you, hyuck."
"i need to go to class and get used to walking even if i feel dizzy." he said. "we have a game against gryffindor in a few days, and i want to play."
"hyuck, i'm not sure if it's the best idea..."
jaemin was worried sick about his best friend.
when he had talked with the nurse on the first day, she had told him he would get better very quick because he hadn't broken anything.
but it had already been more than a week, and donghyuck was still in a disastrous state.
he looked tired, and he claimed that he couldn't see clear.
his legs were trembling with each step he took, and he would lose his balance often.
and walking for too long made his head sway left to right, and it made him sick, to the point he had thrown up a lot these past days.
"look, i'm feeling better!" he said, smiling as he opened his arms a bit too quickly because it made him lose his balance and fall on his butt.
jaemin quickly walked to him, helping him up again.
he was starting to think that maybe donghyuck's injury was way more severe than it seemed.
his fall could have caused him a head trauma.
"stay here today." jaemin said, carrying his best friend back to his bed.
"no!" donghyuck exclaimed. "i want to go to class!"
"today is no the day."
"but- "
"donghyuck, you stay here, and i'll bring you the papers after class. okay?"
donghyuck pouted, giving jaemin his best puppy eyes, but the pure blood didn't get fooled.
"i'm coming back the quickest possible." he told. "stay safe."
before donghyuck could protest, jaemin dropped a kiss on his forehead and left the infirmary.

donghyuck tried listening to his best friend's orders, staying in his bed and waiting patiently for him, but after two hours of doing nothing, he couldn't bear looking at the plain walls of the infirmary anymore.
that is why the boy slowly rose to his feet, using the objects around him to help himself standing.
he left the infirmary and headed towards his classroom, decided to wait for jaemin outside.
everything was going good at the beginning, he stumbled from time to time, but he always managed to regain his balance.
but at some point, his head started hurting like hell, and the floor seemed to sway under his feet.
the poor boy felt sick in his stomach, and looked for the nearest bathroom, where he could throw up in peace.
he found them with difficulty, emptying his stomach in one of the sinks right away.
his legs shook from tiredness as his arms tried their best to hold himself as his breakfast disappeared in the sink.
"huh... are you okay?"
donghyuck heard a voice speaking and the sound of the toilets flushing.
he tried opening his eyes to look at the stranger, but his vision was too blurry for him to see anything.
"oh, you're the muggle-born slytherin." the boy said. "i wanted to apologize to you for what i said the other time. i was angry that your friend lashed at jeno, and i didn't even try knowing you before scolding you for something you obviously didn't do... and... can you hear me?"
the boy looked at donghyuck whose body was swinging left to right as the boy tired his best to stay conscious.
"j-jaemin..." donghyuck mumbled.
"hey, what's happening?" the boy asked approaching donghyuck.
"please, jaemin... h-help me..."
"i'm not jaemin. i'm mark." the boy replied.
"m-m-mark...?"
donghyuck's body fell forwards as his eyes fluttered shut, and mark didn't hesitate a single second to catch the tanned brunette's limp body.
