It was nearing Halloween or samhain as she liked to call it, when things started getting weird. She was already used to people staring at her, for the uniforms and also for being the girl who lived, but this was getting ridiculous.
It wasn't until Draco had literally shoved the Daily Prophet in her face that she found out the reason why.

It turns out someone had been doing even more digging into her history, she didnt know who this "Rita Skeeter" was, but she was going to be broke by the time her dad was done with her, he had already made the Daily Prophet go nearly bankrupt after the last article they posted about her supposedly being kidnapped and thay were on probation for being turned over to him for new management.
Rita had tipped the scale in his favor when she dug into Edelweiss blood history and future properties.

Now she had to deal with the youngest Weasley again because he was storming up to her looking like someone had lit his face on fire. He started yelling at her for not telling him about this information and then accusing her of being a dark witch for being related to the Black family and that her kidnappers probably raised her to be evil just like there Dark Lord. It was at this point that Edelweiss had enough, she was perfectly fine with people having their own opinions, after all opinions make conversation, but when you start insulting someone one-sidedly because of an article in a gossip rag when your not even friends with that person, it just becomes infuriatingly stupid. So Edelweiss laid Ron Weasley flat on his ass with a leg-locker jinx and then proceeded to tare his world apart. She listed all the things he had done that can be described as nothing more than pig-headed bias that was infecting everyone around him.

Needless to say she was later called into Dumbledore's office yet again for her behavior, Edelweiss did not apologize and refused to until Ron Weasley understood that insulting someone based on who they were related to was wrong and that his bias on Slytherin would not be tolerated by her. Edelweiss ended up with detention for the rest of the week and she ended up spending it with Professor Snape. She ended up having more fun then ever when he had her going over all of the potions ingrediance and even testing her knowledge on the subject, she feels like she impressed him a little.
