Kanan p.o.v

I gasped as I jerked up. I looked around only to see a black abyss. Nothing else but black everywhere. I probably died. So this is how death looks like. Suddenly I heard a voice calling my name.

"Kanan?"

"Ezra?"

"Kanan please stop!"

"Ezra!"

"Kanan please don't hurt me!"

"Ezra, where are you?!"

"Kanan please! Don't leave me! I promise I'll be good!"

"Ezra! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! Please tell me where are you. I'll make it better. I promise, I will just where are you?!"

As soon as I said that Ezras figure appeared just like he was the last time I saw him two years before but different. He was beaten up. His eye was black and he had cuts and wounds that were bleeding all over his face. His clothes had became red from the blood and he was holding his right arm that seemed broken. Tears were rolling down his face mixing themselves with blood. It was horrible and I did it to him. I knew that I hurted him but I didn't knew it was that bad. What have I done? I hurted my son! My precious son! How could I do this to him! I felt hot tears coming out of my eyes as I whispered.

"E.... Ez....Ezra?"

"Kanan, why did you leave me?"

Then he disappeared.

"Ezra?"

"Ezra"

"EZRA!"

I jerked awake. Everything around me was blurry. I tried to get up but I couldn't. I was too tired. I felt that I was laying on something soft. I could see clearer now and I looked around. It was a small bedroom with only the bed that I was laying on and a small table beside it. The door opened and revealed a pretty girl, with long curly hair.

"So you're finally awake. What's your name?"

"It's not your business" I said not sure if I could trust her or not. She might be with the bucket heads just like our 'contact'.

"I was just trying to be polite"

"Who are you?"

"Oh, so I can't know your name but you want to know mine"

"Are you with the empire? Will you try to kill me?"

"Oh yes, I gave you my bed and I'm sleeping in the couch giving you my medicine, food and water that I barely have just to kill you after that! That's make so sense!"

I thought a little, she had a point. If she wanted to kill me or arrest me she would have already done it.

"I'm sorry, I'm just a little suspicious with strangers. My name's Kanan. Kanan Jarrus. Do you mind telling me yours?"

She turned to the door and before she left she turned at me, smiling and saying:

"My name's Ofelia"

And with that she went inside.

Ezra p.o.v

"Luke, I'm here the last three weeks. I really believe that I'm ready to go home"

"Oh right, and what if I found you again almost dead on the bathroom?"

"Luke, don't worry, please! I won't do it again. I promise. Now can I go home"

He was hesitant for a moment but then he nodded. I smiled and Choper came in the room beeping happily. Luke kneeled down at him.

"Keep an eye on him buddy. Please don't let him do something stupid again!"

Choper beeped OK and then we left. I m really happy that I'm finally home. I really enjoyed staying with Luke but I need some time alone. A few metres away it was my home. I opened the door and got inside with Choper behind me. I laid on the couch and yawned.

"It's just you and me old friend. Like always"

I closed my eyes to get some sleep only to be met with a nightmare.

Choper p.o.v

I was cleaning the sand that got inside the house. I hate sand! It always goes everywhere! I finally finished and I was ready to go and check the rest of the house till I heard a scream.

"Ahhhhh!"

It was Ezra!  I rushed into  the room to see him thrusting around and mumbling on his sleep.

"Kanan.... sorry..... Weak..... Pathetic..... Useless...... sorry...... replaced m-me....with.... better..... sorry.... I should be.... d-dead... s-sorry"

I was ready to shock him but he jerked up. He hugged his knees and cried. I put my metal hands on he's knee to comfort him.

"I-its OK Chop. He... He is on the past. And the past stays on the past. Why don't we go for a walk in the city"

I beeped OK and we left the house. Hopefully we are not going to see with Kanan here. That would probably be bad. After all those things he did. I will beat him up the moment I see him. But I have to admit that I really miss Hera. But I cant leave Ezra. It something I would never do. Not after what he went through.

"Hey Choper? What about racing till the town"

Oh, it's on!

Kanan p.o.v

I felt my strength coming back. I got up from the bed and I walked inside. I saw Ofelia sleeping on the couch. I left on the table in front of her some money to thank her for helping me and apologize for my bad manners. I walked outside and made my way till the town. A lot of people were outside. Some of them were buying or selling things. Some kids were playing or talking. I kept walking searching for a ship or a way to contact Hera. After I got nowhere I just stand there not moving, enjoying the beautiful sunset. Million colors were mixed up together making it seem like someone painted the sky. Sabine would love this view.
It was beautiful. Like a dream. I just wish Ezra was here to see it too. I took a deep breath focusing again on the sunset. Then I felt lighter that ever. All the worries just disappeared and we're replaced with peace. It was like the force was telling me that everything would be OK. Just the someone fell on my back. I looked behind to see that the guy who feel on me was now outside the floor rubbing his head.

"Sorry sir"

"It's OK. It was not you fault. Are you-" I stopped when he looked up. Our eyes met and I saw the face that I never expected to see in my life.

"Ezra?"

"Kanan"
