the field filled with flowers is felix's safe haven, he can rest there peacefully without a bother. so when seventeen year old seo changbin enters his home, he can't help but engage with the boy. which leads to desires that can not be fulfilled and tears that end when the truth is finally revealed.

END

in the end felix's true form is
revealed. the boy changbin was
talking to turned out to be a spirit,
the butterfly in the end represents
felix. which is why when the butterfly
lifts from changbin's shoulder, felix is
gone as well. now, my mother has always
told me that when it comes to insects, let's
say a moth for this example because that's
how she explained this to me. but,
when you see a moth, do not kill it
because it could be one of our dead
loved ones visiting us. the field was
actually suppose to be a cute story, but
after connecting a couple things. I thought
it would be more interesting to include
this twist. we lay flowers for the dead,
felix is the butterfly and the insects do have
an attraction for them.

now for changbin,
how did he start seeing felix? both boys had
one thing in common, the lack of love that
they were receiving. felix had suddenly entered
the picture because he stands in the
middle of the field, what sits in that specific
place? his remembrance stone. so as
changbin and him start to converse with
each other, changbin starts to see him
as real person. they never touch each other,
except when changbin places his hand on
felix's face. that's when he notices how his
skin is cold, which shouldn't be right. this
then leads to felix's mother popping in and
once again, the butterfly floating off
meaning felix is taking his leave.

I thought it would be somewhat implied
that felix was a spirit. because him stating,
'I'm home', to 'they're dead to me' and his
repetition of him and changbin not being
able to be with each other were small hints.

but I hope you guys enjoyed this story!
