"Wait, I'm the one your looking for?" I asked.
"Yup. We'll discuss it tomorrow. By the way, you have to come tomorrow to discuss plans."
"Dear God..." I muttered under my breath.
I walked home and the first words I hear was: "How'd it go?"
"I'm the one." I said, amazed.
"You?" Mom asked.
"Yes me, they told me I have to come back tomorrow."
"Oh honey I'm so proud of you!"
Then she gave me a big hug. I'm not exactly thrilled to be the one. But it means I'm something.

I went back to the doctor the next day. He described a meeting place we should meet instead of his office. Then we walked there. It was a little, awkward.
"Ok, so here's the deal..."
Then he told me the story with Edith and her disappearance. Then he told me their plan.
"With our advanced technology, you will have the ability to suck the power right out of her. Just be careful, it could work on you too. When you have her power, you are to destroy it at once and bring Edith back. First you'd need training, and a team."
"A team? How will I have a team if no one else has my power?"
"Good question. From your tests, we were able to make robots with your same capabilities. They will be your team. You are to help them as they are to help you. Understand?"
"Yes."
"Good. We'll meet here everyday. Tomorrow you'll get to meet your team."
"Cool."
"You can go home now. Have a good day."
"Bye, sir." Then I walked home.

At dinner, I barely touched my food.
"You ok hon? You seem awfully quiet."
"Yea. Just think, one of these days I'm going to leave, and who knows if I'm gonna come back, and fight pure evil?"
"I know, sounds very nerve wrecking."
"Even if you don't come back, just know, I'm with you wherever you go."
"Thanks mom,"
"You're welcome. Now off to bed."
I ran off to bed and fell into a deep sleep. With a bad dream.
I was fighting Edith with my team. Then all of the sudden my team tries to kill me. They throw me off of a cliff. I heard an evil laugh.
I woke up gasping for air. I hope that really doesn't happen. There won't be another one of me, even robots. I didn't sleep for the rest of night. I couldn't get that laugh out of my head.
