By and by the next morning came, sun had brightened up the streets with it's morning glow. With heart pounding loudly in her chest and pulse racing, Scarlett reached Emily's cabin and knocked.

"Come in." She heard her say. Scarlett gently pushed open the door.

"Good morning, ma'am."

"Good morning, Ms.Jones and please call me Mrs.Everdeen or Emily."

"Sure Mrs.Everdeen." Emily gave her short smile.

"Please be seated." Scarlett nodded.

"You're on time. That's good." Emily said looking at the digital clock kept on the desk. Scarlett smiled.

"Mr.Hayes will be here shortly but before he is. Let me brief to you, your job as his PA."

"Sure."

"Mr.Hayes is very punctual and he expects so from all his employees. He is in his office sharp at 8:30a.m." Scarlett intently listened to her. "Schedule his day, mark the priority calls and meetings and then get them classified according to Mr.Hayes."

"Okay."

"He has no fixed time for coffee, so whenever you think he is stressed or over burdened, just get him a coffee and if he loses track of time, just remind him when it's 2 pm. No matter what." Scarlett's brows knitted together in confusion.

"May I know, what's so important ?" Emily's lips curved up and eyes sparkled displaying the happiness that flowed through her.

"Theo's school get's over at 2:15p.m and he wouldn't come home with anyone else but Mr. or Mrs.Williams or Mr.Hayes and since Mr. and Mrs.Williams are on a small vacation, Mr.Hayes is his guardian.

"Ohhh, that's really sweet." Scarlett said as her mind got engrossed in her own fantasies, "How can someone be hot as hell and still so sweet."  Her eyes got a dreamy look.

"Huh." A sigh, soft and gentle escaped her cherry lips.

"Is everything fine, Ms.Jones ?" Emily's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Uh..uh..yes..yes.Mrs.Everdeen."

"Okay." Emily said and stood up followed by Scarlett.

"He'll be there any minute, I'll set up his desk." She spoke, grabbing a couple of files.

"Let me." 

"Sure." She handed the files to her and they went to his cabin.

As soon as she entered inside the office, her eyes scanned her surrounding. The aura was cool and quiet. From the large glass windows, she could see another buildings, and sunlit trees across the street. She placed the documents on the large glass table placed at the centre of the cabin.

Just in time, the door flung open again. She turned and all of sudden time seemed to have slowed down for her, her heartbeat accelerated. Her breath became heavy at the mere sight of Markus. Her eyes moved up and down, absorbing him in.

As she watched, she thought that every word Elena said was one hundred percent correct, he indeed was a sexy piece of art, looking much more gorgeous than in any photoshoot. His rich black heavens was neatly combed.  His nose was hawkish and he had defined cheeks carved down towards his basalt jaw, obsecured by a gritty stubble.

"Good morning, Markus." She heard Emily say and broke out of her daydream. Awkwardly, she averted her gaze, "Stupid you." She muttered underneath her breath.

"Good morning, Emily." He replied. Upon hearing his deep and husky voice, she got goosebumps. She breathed in his cologne that filled the room and refocused her gaze at him to find his serene blue eyes looking at her with curiosity.

"Good morning, Mr.Hayes." Getting a grip on her, she greeted him.

"Ms. Scarlett Jones will be assisting you in my absence." Added Emily. His glance darted back and forth between the ladies before settling on Scarlett. He ambled towards her, his gaze travelled up and down her body, from her beautiful grey eyes down to her curvacious body as he checked her out.

"Hello, Ms.Jones. It's a pleasure to meet you." He forwarded his hand.

"Likewise, Mr.Hayes." She replied, shaking hands with him and ignoring the sparks that filled her body. Giving her a nod, he walked past her and seated down and gestured them to take seats as well.

"So, Ms.Jones, I hope Emily must have told you almost everything about your job."

"Yes, sir."

"Emily has been working with me for about five years and never did I ever feel the need of replacing her." Emily smiled. "..and now that she needs leave, I hope you will be able to live upto our expectations."

"I will try my best."

"I am sure you will and as promised, if you do your job nicely, you'll be provided with a permanent job at W&H corps, according to your skills and proficiency."

"Thank you, sir." 

"I am sorry to interrupt, but you have a meeting with Mr.Martin, in 20 minutes." Emily said.

"Okay, get the conference room ready. Meanwhile, Ms.Jones." He turned her gaze to Scarlett, passing her a file with Everwhite Ski resort written on the cover. "I want you to accompany me in the meeting. You have about 15 minutes to absorb the gist of the project."

"Sure sir." She responded. Emily left the cabin followed by Scarlett. Thereafter, Scarlett went to Emily's cabin and began to go through the papers.

"Good morning, Mr.Hayes and ladies." A deep manly voice greeted Markus, as soon as he entered the conference room followed by Scarlett and Emily. His eyes darted from person to person and lingered on Scarlett for a little longer.

"Good morning, Mr.Smith." Replied, Markus and Emily while Scarlett gave him a short nod adding with it a beautiful smile.

They all settled down. Scarlett and Carl (Mr.Smith) had a quick introduction before Markus gestured him to start his presentation on the project as he was the head.

"Sir, I was on ground, finding the best location for our project and I think, Park city is the most suitable place with exact location being east of salt lake. It will be providing 7000 acres of skiing area with maximum elavation of 10,050 feet and minimum of 6,500 feet." He began to explain the basic informations through the slides that displayed on the big screen and proceeded to give his in depth market analysis on the subject. The meeting went on for a while before they started discussing certain key points.

"Well, Mr.Smith, you really did a great job."

"Thank you very much, Mr.Hayes."

"So, Ms.Jones, what are your thoughts on this ?" Markus asked.

"I really like it. I mean that area is suitable and discussing in detail various key aspects of the project, I think it would really be profitable throughout the summers. It sure will attract thousands of skiers from around the world, not only because they'll get snow and altitude but because they will get A grade facilities and that too in affordable prices. Adding to it, our market credibility provides us a competitive edge. I think, it's worth the investments." She answered. The interest for the topic didn't seem to go unnoticed by Markus. He gave her a nod and further asked Emily for her suggestions. They discussed over it for a while and Markus permitted him to work on the models before further discussions.

Hours passed in blur, the day was busier than she thought it would be. It sure was her first day at the job but it didn't seem to be. However, she still couldn't believe that she shared room with the same man her friend and she had been having hots for, for years.

"It's about 2. Should I go and remind him about Theo ?" She asked Emily, who was proofreading some documents.

"Oh yes please." She smiled and did as she was told.

Just as she reached outside his cabin, nervousness gripped her. She took a few calming breaths before knocking.

"Come in." She heard his raspy voice. "God. Not again."

She pushed the door wide open and walked inside and saw him engrossed in reading some files.

"What is it, Ms.Jones ?" He asked, without even lifting his gaze.

"It's about 2, sir." As soon as he heard those words from her mouth. His head jerked up and instinctively, he glanced at the clock.

"Shit." He mumbled and rose up from his seat.

"Manage everything, I'll be back shortly." In hurry, he said and rushed out. 

"Oh..kay.." She voiced, surprised by sudden change in his mood. Although it did bring a smile on her face. 

"Wow."
