🥀30🥀

Namjoon's white Hyundai pulled into a space just a short distance away from the fair. The lot designated for fair parking was full to the point that only daredevils who were willing to risk their car's paint would want to journey in. Apparently, the salmon haired was not in the market for a new paint job. The three slid out of the car and started towards the fair. It was a surprisingly warm night, considering that it was the middle of fall, with little to no clouds spotting the sky. The fair lights swam up and down the buildings, like fish in a tank, unsure of where to go. Namjoon was on Yoongi's right, swinging his arms lightly in the breeze. Jungkook was on his left, a bit more nervous and slightly shakier than Namjoon was.

"Are you okay, Jungkook?" Yoongi asked, looking at the younger.

"Yeah, I've just n-never been to a fair before. That's all."

"It'll be okay," The mint haired took the younger's hand in his own, "We're right here with you."

Namjoon smiled in agreement and moved around Yoongi so the brunette was in the center before he too took Jungkook's hand.

Holding Jungkook's hand never failed to send a fuzzy feeling shooting through his stomach. Like a million very warm butterflies had woken up upon his touch and were now swarming around throughout him. A similar and equal feeling would spring up when Namjoon was close as well. It confused Yoongi in all honesty. He had never experienced this kind of thing. He'd been too busy to even think about having that feeling. He was more bent on using his time wisely than to find someone who made him feel like there was more to life than just a clock counting down within him. That's exactly what Namjoon and Jungkook did for him. In a way that he couldn't quite explain. Not just yet.

The three approached a booth labeled with a neon sign that read, "Tickets". An older man with what appeared to be a mustache dressed in red and white stripes sat inside the small wooden booth.

"Welcome to the Seoul fair! How many are in your party?" He said.

"Three." Namjoon said, approaching the opening in the booth with his wallet out.

"I can pay-" Yoongi started.

"No worries, Hyung. I've got it covered."

"That'll be ₩35,000."

Namjoon took said amount out of wallet and handed it to the man.

The man tore three neon pink wristbands off of a sheet of twenty others and handed them to the salmon haired, "Have a great evening."

The three walked past the booth into the crowded fair. Yoongi led them over to a bench which was fairly clear of people.

"Alright, let's get the wristbands in order before we continue." Yoongi said.

Namjoon tore the wristbands apart and handed one to each of the group, "You know how to put these on, right JK?"

Jungkook nodded and peeled back the cover on the sticky portion of the band.

Yoongi rubbed the sticky portion against the band and looked up at Jungkook who was trying to find the best fit for his own one. Yoongi grinned as his gaze turned to Namjoon who had nearly torn his wristband. Of course that man could tear the untearable.

Yoongi looked back at the fair. It was the same as it was when he went as a kid. The fairy lights that gave out a deep yellow glow. The flashing signs that advertised cheap prices and great prizes. People running everywhere to whatever game or ride they wanted to try out next. The smell of food and warm cotton candy dancing about in the air. It was all the same.

A fair could never change, really. It could upgrade its equipment and rides, add new foods, change the games up a tad, but it would all remain the same for the most part. Even the people seemed to remain somewhat the same. Upon entering the lot full of joy, childlike wonder envelopes even the oldest of adults. No matter the age, nearly everyone seemed to return to their childhood memories of a fair and play off of them while they ventured further. The people, upon return, didn't seem to change too much.

The fair had always been somewhat of a safe haven for Yoongi. A place where time never seemed to alter too much. The only thing that really seemed to change was the prices. Oh how they had been hiked up since his visits as a teen set on impressing some form of love interest over winning a game or being deemed strong by that little bell.

Yoongi went every year. Every single year. The fair in Daegu was slightly like this one, just a bit less to it. There was still a lot, just not as much as the Seoul one, as to be expected. Girls went with Yoongi for the most part. Hooked on his bad boy image, which had pretty much fallen off since high school, and soft personality. Every girl in the school had heard of Yoongi's fair dates, and every one of them had wanted to be taken. Freshman year, Yoongi could've sold tickets and set up times to meet each of the girls, that's how many wanted him. The only good those three years of dates did was make him realize how much he didn't want all these girls chasing after him. His bad boy image was no longer giving him the appeal it first had and certainly wasn't anything he wanted anymore.

His fourth year, senior year, around the time of the fair, Yoongi was completely and utterly swarmed. Girl after girl managed to find him, even if he was fairly well hidden. It only got worse when someone overheard Yoongi telling a friend that he only wanted one person to go with him, not multiple at separate times. The only thing Yoongi hadn't said was that he'd already found that someone to go with him. A boy of the name Kim Sanggyun.

Sanggyun was a sophomore who was fairly well known for being the shy kid. It wasn't hard for someone to fall for him, nearly everyone had. He was a fairly attractive kid. Sanggyun had approached Yoongi when the crowds had seemingly vanished for the moment with his head hung low out of innocent shyness. It had been that sixteen year old boy that asked the highly wanted eighteen year old to go to the fair with him. It had taken Yoongi aback how it had been that boy that made his stomach do flips rather than one of the girls that always approached him. It had taken him aback that he wanted to be with a boy. He had never felt anything like this before. Sure, there was something felt with the girls, but not anything like this. It was a good something.

Yoongi had remained quiet as he looked at the young boy who was fiddling with his sleeves, head hung somewhat even lower. He mumbled out an apology before taking a step back. The then ravenette senior quickly swooped into action and placed a hand under Sanggyun's chin and lifted his face up to look into his eyes. Yoongi gave a smile to the surprised teen and answered with a smooth, "I'd love to".

Yoongi had Sanggyun to thank for his finding himself. If it hadn't been for him and that fair date, Yoongi still would be mindlessly looking for a girl who could never provide him the feelings he wanted. He would've been stuck in a cycle of never finding the one and wasting his time on feelingless relationships when he could be with the one who made him feel like everything with one touch.

He and the sophomore had dated until Yoongi, a year and some amount of months later, made the announcement that he was going to move to Seoul to prepare for a musical degree. It hadn't been anything personal, simply the two feeling that long distance would not work and agreeing to hold no more romantic feelings for the other. They were still friends if you were wondering. Sanggyun remained in Daegu, much to Yoongi's surprise as the younger had always spoke of having dreams of leaving the city behind, and was someone the now mint haired could always count upon for a good conversation.

Looking at it now, if Sanggyun had come with Yoongi to Seoul, there would've been little chance of him going to a fair with these two great guys by his side. There would've been little chance of him even thinking what he thinks of these guys, maybe even less of a relationship with them for that matter. He regretted none of it. Not a single second. Sure, he left an amazing guy back in Daegu, but he had two that were far better, no offense to Sanggyun, because of it.

"Okay, so funnel cakes are that way." Yoongi said pointing towards the trio's left where a sign stood advertising the cakes, "Do you want to grab those first or do you want to go play some games?"

"I vote food, what do you want, JK?" Namjoon asked, looking at the brunette.

"Food, please, Hyungs." Jungkook said, quiet but still somewhat hearable over the crowd.

"Alright, funnel cakes it is. Follow me."

The group weaved their way through the crowd until they reached the booth with a slightly shorter than expected line.

"Do you want any sauces?" Namjoon asked, pulling out his wallet.

"No thanks, do you, Kookie?"

Jungkook shook his head.

"You guys wait over near those benches. I'll be right over." Namjoon said, glancing up at the board with the prices on it and then back at his open wallet.

"Alright. Be careful. Please don't break the booth." Yoongi said as he led Jungkook towards the benches.

"Like I will!" Namjoon shouted after them.

Yoongi took a seat on one of the benches, "He's so going to break something on that booth."

Jungkook giggled and sat down next to the mint haired.

"So," Yoongi said, turning to Jungkook, "what's going on with you?"

Jungkook widened his eyes as if asking, "What do you mean?".

"Sorry, I phrased that wrong. What's up?"

Jungkook shrugged.

Yoongi sighed, "C'mon Kook, use that beautiful voice of yours."

"Um, not much." Jungkook's cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

"Anything at work?"

"An annoying customer or two. Not too much."

"Ah, the annoying customer. They're the worst."

Jungkook hummed.

"I think we've talked about you working multiple jobs, but I can't remember if we've clarified where you work."

"Um, 24/7 Books, Mooscream, and Get 'er Clean."

"Those are all out on the far side of town, right?"

Jungkook nodded.

"How's the commute? Must be harder since you're a bit farther away than you used to be."

"Just have to get up a bit earlier."

Yoongi nodded, "How's your Mom and Dad?"

"They're g-good."

"Anything happening with them?"

"N-No! No." Jungkook said, almost a little too quickly.

Yoongi mentally huffed, something was definitely going on with Jungkook.

"Are you sure nothing's going on?"

"I-I'm sure."

"Alright," Yoongi said, worried expression not leaving his face. He knew something was going on. He'd known it since the beginning.

"Two funnel cakes for a bunny and a cat." Namjoon said, grinning as he held out two plates of funnel cakes.

Yoongi scowled slightly, but accepted the paper plate.

The mint haired smiled as he saw the look of excitement on Jungkook's face as the dessert was handed over to him. The boy looked at the dish with his mouth hanging open out of hunger.

"It looks really good." The brunette mumbled.

"It does." Yoongi responded.

"Well go on, eat it!" Namjoon said.

Jungkook was the first to dive in, tearing a piece off and snacking on it.

"Did you get one, Joon?" Yoongi asked, taking a piece for himself.

"Nah, funnel cakes aren't really my thing." Namjoon reassured as he sat down on the bench.

"Would you like some of mine, Hyung?" Jungkook offered, "I don't think I can eat it all."

"No, I want you both to enjoy them-"

"I don't think I can enjoy it if you aren't." Yoongi said.

"I-"

Jungkook held his plate with a half of a funnel cake left on it, out to the older, salmon haired.

Namjoon sighed and took the plate from the brunette, "Thank you, Kook. That's really nice of you."

Jungkook seemed to beam after the café owner said that, a wide bright smile sitting on his face. A smile that Yoongi wanted to see on his face way more. A smile that he wanted only himself and Namjoon to be able to replicate.

After all the eating was finished, Jungkook collected the plates and tossed them into a nearby trash can.

"So, what do we want to do next?" Namjoon asked upon the younger boy's return.

"Games?" Jungkook asked, standing next to the bench the other males were seated on.

"That sounds good." Yoongi stood up, "Do you guys want to wander and see what's here?"

"Sure." Namjoon said, standing as well.

"This way?" The brunette gestured towards their left.

"Lead the way, Kookie."

The younger boy started off in the direction he had pointed with the other two males trailing behind him.

"Thank you." Yoongi said, leaning towards Namjoon slightly.

"For what?" Namjoon asked.

"For buying the tickets and the funnel cakes. I could've covered those, you really didn't have to."

"I wanted to. I want this night to be great for the both of you."

"It's turning out to be that way. Jungkook's having so much fun and I'm happy to be here with the both of you."

"I'm glad. I was kind of stressing out about tonight."

"You shouldn't have. As long as you're here with us, we're bound to have fun." Yoongi said with a warm smile, looping his arm around Namjoon's muscular one.

Despite the lack of light, Yoongi could see a slight blush forming on Namjoon's face and his smile widened a bit more.

"You know, I think we have a development in the JK case."

"Oh really?" Namjoon said.

Yoongi nodded, "Something's definitely off."

"Isn't it usually?"

"It's somehow even more off."

"Well, we'll have to talk about it after we drop him off."

Yoongi hummed.

"Hyungs!" Jungkook's voice shouted over the crowd.

Yoongi and Namjoon sped up a bit as they saw a hand shoot up by one of the booths. Jungkook stood by a ring toss game looking excitedly at the other two males.

"Hyungs! Look at it!" Jungkook pointed to a pink, stuffed bunny that was hung with the rest of the prizes, "It's so cute!"

Namjoon leaned closer to Yoongi and whispered, "We have got to win him that bunny."

Yoongi nodded.

"How much does it cost to play?" Yoongi asked the man behind the booth's counter.

"₩1,000 for five rings." The man smiled.

Yoongi pulled two bills out of his wallet and handed them to the man. The man set ten rings down on the counter and stepped out of the way.

"How many do I have to have on the bottles for the pink bunny?" Yoongi asked the man.

"Six rings."

"Alright," Yoongi turned to Namjoon, "You do five, I'll do five?"

Namjoon nodded and stepped closer to the counter, "You know these games are rigged, right?"

"Well, I've got plenty more Won where those two came from."

Namjoon laughed and took one of the rings off the counter. He chucked it across and it clinked against one of the bottles and fell firmly into place around one of the bottle's neck.

"Not as rigged as you thought, huh?" Yoongi said as he picked up a ring of his own.

Eventually, the pair only had four more tries left and had four rings around the bottles. Jungkook stood off to the side with encouraging words and praises leaving his mouth. Namjoon tossed and the ring fell onto the bottle.

"One more." Namjoon said as he took a breath and a step back.

Yoongi's ring missed by a mile, causing the mint haired to groan in disappointment. The next ring, Namjoon's, hit a bottle and then slid down into a crack.

"You've got this, Suga." Namjoon said, walking over to stand next to Jungkook.

"Go Hyung! I believe in you!" Jungkook said excitedly.

Yoongi threw the ring and turned around, waiting to hear the result. A clink and Jungkook's excited cries filled the air. The ring had made it around the bottle.

"Thank you, Hyungs! Thank you so much!" Jungkook said, hugging both of the older boys before accepting the bright pink bunny from the man behind the counter.

"It's our pleasure, Kook." Namjoon said, smiling at the excited brunette.

"I don't know about you two, but I am very tired." Yoongi said, a slight yawn coming out of his mouth after mention his being tired, "Do you guys want to go on the Ferris wheel and then head out?"

"Sounds good to me. What about you, JK?" Namjoon answered.

Jungkook nodded and nuzzled his head a bit further into the stuffed doll that was in his arms.

"Alright, it's this way isn't it?"

"That way." Namjoon said, pointing in the opposite direction.

"I knew that." Yoongi said as he followed the salmon haired and Jungkook in the direction the former had pointed.

The line for the Ferris wheel had died out somewhat, considering that it was now fairly late and everyone was returning home. The attendant, very tired after a long day of work, allowed the three of them to sit in the same seat, which was only meant for two.

It was nice to just take in the night and the two people sitting next to Yoongi. To look out across the Seoul nightline and see the lit up buildings and bright colors from a higher place then normal. To see the stars dance throughout the dark sky. However, after being on the Ferris wheel for two minutes, maybe a couple seconds more, his attention was turned to the two beautiful men sitting next to him.

Jungkook's cute face was adorned by a rounded nose and a smile that could easily have been found on a bunny. The mole on his nose and the scar on his cheek were all things Yoongi had noticed on his little study sessions of the boy's face. Namjoon's dimples when he smiled stood out like the sun on a cloudless day. It had the same effect too. The way his face lights up when he talks about the things he loves. Warm brown eyes that reminded him of hot chocolate. He loved their beauty, their mannerisms, their personalities, all of which made them beautifully them. And it was there on that Ferris wheel as they made their final descent that Yoongi came to the conclusion that he loved these two more than anything in the whole world.

Their seat on the Ferris wheel touched the ground and the attendant let them off. They set out towards the car, hand in hand. Jungkook's face was still buried into the stuffed animal's plush fur and Namjoon was looking up at the stars.

"Man, today was great." Namjoon commented.

"It was." Yoongi said.

Jungkook's hum of agreement was muffled by his doll.

"I can't believe that it's already fifteen minutes till midnight." Namjoon added.

Jungkook's eyes seemed to bulge from his head upon hearing the time, "I-I have to get home, hyungs. N-Now."

Jungkook began pulling on their hands hurriedly, trying his hardest to get them to go to the car just a bit faster.

"Slow down, Kookie. We'll get you home soon."

"N-No. Now!" Jungkook said, his voice full of fear.

"Okay, okay, Kookie." Yoongi looked Namjoon in the eye worriedly.

Namjoon nodded, the same worried look on his face and unlocked the car.

"I'll try my best to be quick." Namjoon whispered to Yoongi before climbing into the front seat.

Yoongi opened the back door and let Jungkook climb in. Yoongi followed him and closed the door and got settled next to the brunette. Something was really really wrong.

If only the older two knew.
