Winter's POV

Haddock-san, give this to him/her, can you get me blah blah blah. I do whatever people tells me to do. I am like the CCG's maid. But I always put on a smile even though I'm pissed, stressed or mad. I always put on a smile to hide my real self or my real emotions. I'm mostly depressed, sad and feeling emotionless. My parents and my second eldest sister died. My brother and my eldest sister is in the Philippines. I miss them a lot. My parents and sister died because of a ghoul. I miss them a lot but at least I have my friends with me and my cousin Nash who also works here in the CCG.

"Hey Win" I turned around and saw my cousin Nash. Speaking of the devil.

"Yes?" I said giving a smile.

"Need help?" He asked.

I was carrying a lot of files and distributing them to other investigators as Akira told me to do.

"Nah its fine. Thanks anyway" I said and smiled.

"You sure? I know your a bit tired" he said.

"I'm fine. So, how's Riezen an the kids?" I asked. Yeah he's married.

Nash just gave me a 'seriously' face.

"Hahaha I'm just kidding" I said and he rolled his eyes.

"OK. You can ask me for help anytime." He said ad I nod and went to Sasaki's office. "Hello Banana" I said. Yeah I call Sasaki 'Banana' cus he likes bananas and he also has a banana poster. I wonder why.

"Oh hi Ice Queen" Sasaki said.

"Tch what ever" I said. He calls me ice queen cause I'm sometimes very cold to him and Nash and my name is Winter Snow H. Haddock. So..  Meh. "Here are files for you from Akira" I said and gave him all the files except for 3.

Sasaki sighed exhausted from all the work. "Thanks Haddock-san" he said with a small tired smile.

"No problem" I said and smiled back. "I better keep going. I have to deliver these files to Arima" I said. I almost blushed but I controlled it.

I have a slight crush on Arima. But I'll never have a chance since I always have a smile and he is very emotionless. I don't think we have any similarities. Well maybe the emotionless thing but that's not really the thing.

"Delivering a message to the ice king?" Sasaki said.

"Ice king?" I said.

Sasaki opened his mouth to explain. But I cut him off.

"No need to explain. I know that he is an emotionless guy. I thought you call him his 'dad'" I said.

"I do but not all the time of course." He said.

"Haha well gotta go" I said and opened the door. I went out and I was about to close the door.

"See you later 'Arima'" Sasaki said with a smirk and I finally shut the door when he said his name. My eyes widened and opened the door.

"What did you say?" I said giving him a glare

"Nothing!" Sasaki said sweat drop and trying not to get scolded by me.

I stared at him still glaring. "Hm... Thought so" I said and closed the door and head to  Arima's office.

I took deep slow breaths in the way and hope not to mess up anything when I reach his office. I reaches his office and knocked on the door first and open a bit to check if he was there. And he was. I opened the door a bit wider for him to see me. He signaled me to enter. I did and closed the door. I walked towards his desk and gave him the files.

"Here are your files from Akira, Arima-san" I said with a smile and bowed showing respect.

"Thank you Haddock-san" he said.

I nodded and slowly walked backwards, turned around and head to the door.

"Why do you always smile?" He asked.

I turned back and hummed questioningly to him. "Why?" I asked.

"I've been wondering" he said.

"Uhm..." I don't want to tell him about my 'problems' in life. Nash, Sasaki and my friends arentje only people that knows.

"It's okay if you don't want to tell me." He said.

"Nahw its fine. I just smile to... enjoy my day and..." I sighed in defeat. "I just smile just to make people think I don't have problems and others. Why do you ask? Is there something wrong with that?" I sounded a bit rude at the last sentence and I mentaly slaooed myself for being a bit rude to the best ghoul investigator.

There was silence between us. I was about to apologize but he spoke.

"Nothing's wrong. I just wanted to know why you always smile. You have a nice smile" he said and I slightly blushed, having a dust of pink on my cheeks. "Did I made you upset when I asked?" He asked again.

"N-no Arima-s-san! I was just a little stress. That's all" I said and gave him a smile.

He nodded and gave me a small smile. I nodded as well and left.

That was... Strange. Arima smiled at me. I never seen him smile. He also have a nice smile. Somehow that made me happy and I don't feel stress anymore.
