Bonus chapter #6 - Not A Cheater
14th of May, 1994
Brooklyn is 28, Janet is 27, and Michael is 35
Michael: I opened the front door widely, grinning when I saw my three guests for the next couple of days.
"Hey!" I hugged Lisa tightly.
"Woah, you're Michael Jackson!" her daughter said.
"And you must be Riley. I heard a lot about you." I crouched down to her level and offered her a hug.
She accepted, slightly wrapping her small arms around my neck.
"And this is Benjamin." Lisa showed her son that held her hand tight.
"Hi Ben." I waved. He hesitated before waving back.
I turned to Lisa, "Would you like to see your room? I thought it would be nicer if you slept in here instead of the guest house, because it's a bit far..."
"That would be great. Thank you so much for having us." she nodded.
I helped her with the bags, and led them to an extra bedroom.
~
"So this is what the King of Pop lives like."
I turned around, a bit embarrassed by Lisa being inside my bedroom.
We parted ways so she could put her kids to bed and I could take a shower, after the long day we've had. We went on the rides, had a water balloon fight, and swam in the pool. It was great, the most fun I've had in a while.
She looked around, then her eyes landed on the big picture of Brooklyn and I that hung on the wall. It was a picture from our wedding day. We were dancing, a smile on both of our faces. I could never forget how beautiful she was on that day.
Lisa Marie frowned. "Well, the King of Pop and his wife..."
"Uh, yeah." I blushed, quickly putting on my shirt.
"You're still not talking?" she asked as she kept looking around the bedroom.
"Nope." I answered with a sigh, sitting down on the bed.
"You know, Michael, ever since we met at that party," Lisa sat close to me and placed a hand on my thigh. "I can't stop thinking about you. I really like you."
"I really like you, too, Lisa. You've been really good to me." I smiled down at her.
"That's exactly how I feel about you. And I know you've been really lonely since Brooklyn left like she did, and I've been lonely as well, with Danny always traveling because of work... So I thought, maybe we could keep each other company for a while..."
Her hand that was on my thigh made its way to my crotch, and her lips were suddenly on mine.
She straddled me, her hands cupping both sides of my face as the kiss deepened.
Why was I letting her kiss me? And in the bedroom I shared with my wife? But I couldn't pull away, and somewhere in my mind I didn't want to. It felt good to finally have a connection with someone who understood.
With Lisa still on top of me, I fell back on the bed.
"I want you, Michael..." she whispered against my lips. "I want to give you a child. I can give you a baby... Don't you want that? A small, beautiful baby all to yourself? We can raise him together, and be a family..."
Is she insane? She has a husband, and I have a wife! I am not a cheater.
I gently pushed her off and sat up.
"What's wrong?" she put a hand on my shoulder.
"We're both married, Lisa. I can't do this, I'm not that kind of man. I won't cheat on my wife." I told her.
Lisa pouted, "But I really like you."
"And I like you, but not in that kind of way. I am married to the woman I love. Brooklyn is the love of my life, and no matter what happens between us, she will always stay that. Betraying her is not something I want to do. I will have a baby of my own, with her. She's the only woman who I want to bring a baby into this world with. I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong idea, and I'm sorry I didn't pull away."
"I'll just go..." Lisa avoided my eyes and stood up.
"No, Lisa, wait," I called when she started leaving. "I still like you, as a friend. A very good friend. You're right, I've been lonely, and you helped me overcome it."
I leaned down to kiss her cheek for a few seconds.
"Can we sit down and talk, just like we do over the phone?" I questioned.
"I guess." she shrugged.
"Come on."
I pulled her by her hand and led her to the living room, where we talked almost the entire night.

16th of May, 1994
Brooklyn and Janet are 28, Michael is 35
Janet: Brandon was all over my neck, kissing, sucking, and nibbling away.
"Happy birthday to you..." he sang softly.
I tried focusing on my fine ass man that wanted to pleasure me, but my mind was set on Brooke and how much I needed her.
Just the idea of continuing this pregnancy without her approval and support scared me shitless.
"Babe, I'm trying here. At least let out a moan or somethin' so I could know if you're enjoying it..." Brandon snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Huh? Yeah, keep going." I mumbled.
He sighed, rolling off of me. "You're clearly not into it. It's so damn hard to please you these days. You're either not in the mood or too tired."
"Well excuse me for being pregnant with your baby." I rolled my eyes.
"She's gonna be the most beautiful baby in the world. Our genes mixed together? That's, like, a perfect combination."
"Sweet talking won't get you anywhere today."
"I'm just pointing out the truth."
We stayed quiet for a few minutes, Brandon just casually placing more kisses on my neck.
"You think I can invite Brooke today? I don't want to celebrate my birthday without her. We never missed each other's birthdays." I said, slightly playing with the ends of his thick curls.
"I'm not sure Mike would be down for that."
I made a face at his answer. "You shouldn't care about Mike. I'll handle him."
"No, what you need is to focus on yourself today. Step out of the drama for once. You don't need drama." Brandon told me.
I was about to respond, but the baby girl inside me started kicking.
"Oh, no. I think she knows your voice." I groaned.
"What's so bad about that?" my boyfriend scoffed.
"She'll kick every time you talk."
He lifted up my shirt and placed his warm hands on my bump, rubbing around.
"You know I don't like when you touch it." I muttered.
Brandon ignored me. "How else am I supposed to interact with my baby, Janet? And what's not to like? Look at it, it's beautiful."
As he felt our baby move, my mind wondered to Brooke again. I knew Brandon and Michael were planning a 'surprise' baby shower, and I couldn't go through it alone. My entire family giving me tons of presents for this baby that I'm terrified of having without my best friend, was not the ideal way to spend my birthday.

Michael: I woke up from the sun hitting my eyes.
I looked around, realizing I fell asleep in the living room.
Something stirred in my arms, and when I looked down I saw Benjamin sleeping peacefully.
"Hey," Lisa quietly walked in. "Good morning. I'm sorry about this, the both of you just fell asleep after reading a book, and I didn't have the heart to wake you up..."
"It's fine, Lisa... What time is it?" I asked.
"Almost 9."
I widened my eyes, "We should get ready and head out. The party's starting at 11:30, and it's a long drive."
She nodded, and we both woke Benjamin up so we could get ready to leave.
~
We left Lisa's kids at Neverland in the care of my staff, and Steve took us to Janet's house.
The drive was full of our laughter and talk. By them time we reached my sister's, we were closer than ever. I felt good talking to Lisa, it was something I missed, just talking to someone.
But I was a bit guilty for leading her on like that, let alone kissing her. If Brooke knew I kissed another woman, she would feel so betrayed.
"Mike," Steve called me as we got out of the car. "Don't let her get to you."
That was basically his way of saying to be careful with Lisa, but I didn't get why he cared so much. I was sure Lisa understood that Brooklyn is the only woman in my heart.
~
"This is amazing, Chris. Thank you so much!" Janet got up to hug Brooke's brother.
"She's going to be a great mother..." Lisa whispered in my ear.
"I know, I keep telling her that, but she won't listen." I whispered back.
"Sounds like she's stubborn. I wonder where she gets it from... Probably from her brother."
She giggled and placed a kiss on my cheek. It was followed by another one, a bit closer to my mouth. I wanted to pull away, but she held my hand tight. I put on a slight smile for her as my cheeks turned hot from embarrassment.
"Brooke?" I suddenly heard my mother say.
I looked up, to meet my glossy-eyed wife. She was looking directly at Lisa and I.
We looked at each other for a few moments before she backed away from Janet's living room.
"No, Brooke, wait!" my sister put down the next present she was about to unwrap and followed her best friend.
Shit.
