The Rescue

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

The ride to Trump tower was pretty relaxed. The only thing that even remotely bothered me was the sound of gunshots throughout the city. I was surprised at first when we weren't shot down immediately, but it soon registered inside my mind that we were in fact inside a Decepticon ship. Today's event had left my mind in a state of confusion. I was overwhelmed with dozens of emotions concerning what has already happened this early in the morning, one of them being happiness and the other being complete rage. My focus at the moment was keeping Sam safe all while trying to rescue Carly from my dick head of a boss Dylan Gould. If Sam didn't kill him, I most certainly would.

"Both of you, out," Bumblebee instructed us.

Sam wasted no time in getting up from his spot on the opposite side of Bumblebee. Assuming the reason for our ejection had to do with the fact that we were approaching Trump Tower, I followed closely behind Sam. He pulled me out of the small ship and I stood, staring at the building in front of us. Thankfully, the back door was open; that would save us so much time.

"Listen, we have to stay undetected for as long as possible, okay? You have to be slick," I said to Sam.

He nodded and jumped onto the banister, holding tightly onto the railing. I did the same, but being in heels made the process slightly more difficult than it should have been. Bumblebee lowered the ship to obstruct it from view while Sam and I both climbed over the railing. I took out my gun and instructed Sam to do the same and before long, the two of us were entering the building. I quickly ducked down behind a kitchen counter, pulling Sam with me, as two maids made their way into the room. If only I had been wearing quieter shoes. .

"I'm so sick of this, I'm just so sick of waiting," I heard Dylan enter the room. This sparked a certain anger in me and also Sam as well. Sam stood up quickly and pointed his gun at who I assumed to be Dylan. I followed his actions.

"Where is she?" Sam yelled.

Dylan looked at Sam. "Wow. You've got some balls." His focus shifted to me and he smiled. "Azalea, how nice of you to finally join us."

"Cut the crap, Dylan. Where's Carly?" I snapped.

I heard the ever so familiar sound and turned my head to see not only Carly, but I also saw Laserbeak transform before my eyes. Before I knew it, my gun was on the floor and I was being grabbed by one of Dylan's men while Laserbeak grabbed Sam. A series of screams could be heard as Sam struggled in the bot's grasp. I growled and grabbed the arm of my captor, bending back his wrist. He cried out in pain and I removed myself from his arms, delivering a swift blow to his face with my boot. He went down immediately and I picked up my gun and turned around just in time to see Laserbeak burst through the outside railing before dropping Sam. I stared wide-eyed at the broken railing, sadness resonating through my body as I realized what just happened. Carly's pained cries could be heard and I turned to see her struggling in the arms of another man. As I ran over to help her, I was cut off by a very familiar voice.

"Carly, Azalea!" Sam yelled.

My head shot around to see Sam squatting on top of the ship. I relaxed instantly. Carly managed to fight off the man holding her and she ran over to me and grabbed my hand before pulling me out the door with her. We ran until reaching the end of the ledge where the two of us jumped onto the ship. Sam grabbed us both and pulled us down as the ship made a turn and suddenly, Bumblebee was shooting at the building.

"Get inside!" Sam yelled to us. I got up quickly and grabbed Carly, pulling her up to the opening with me. It opened automatically and the two of us climbed in while Bee continued firing at the building. There was a sudden crash outside and the next thing I knew, we were falling.

"Uh oh," Bumblebee mumbled. Carly and I held on tightly to Bumblebee as we fell. Another engine exploded and I squealed, gripping Bee's helm tighter. He whirred at me.

"Bee, fire!" I heard Sam yell from outside.

"Bee," Carly exclaimed.

The next thing I heard was a loud gunshot and the ship shifted twice, indicating that we had run into something. I truly hoped Sam was okay.

Bumblebee did his absolute best to control the ship, but it was no use. We continued to fall and my heart continued to beat at an exceedingly fast pace. I felt as the ship came into contact with the ground and I screamed, as did Carly, as we flipped over not once, but twice. I took a deep breath as the ship finally came to a halt.

"Are you two okay?" Bumblebee's radio sounded. I just nodded.

"Yeah," Carly answered him.

"Up you get."

Suddenly, sunlight emitted through the ship and Bumblebee lifted the two of us up towards the small opening. I climbed out quickly before climbing down to stand on top of one of the many guns this death machine had. Sam got up from the ground and ran over, climbing on top of the ship. He gave me a quick hug before moving to help Carly out of the ship. The two of them shared an affectionate embrace and a few words before Sam hopped off of the ship. Carly and I stayed put and watched as the remaining Autobots sped towards us. They stopped suddenly and Uncle Epps, along with his soldiers began piling out of Que and Ironhide. Epps met my eyes and ran over. I jumped off of the ship, but before I could even get a word out, I was being enveloped in an extremely tight hug. I squeezed my uncle back and he let me go.

"I'm so glad you're okay." He turned to Sam and gave him a one are bro-hug. "You're crazy. You know that?"

Sam just chuckled and released him before pointing at something. "What's that? Is that us?" he asked.

I followed his finger down towards a small machine and began walking over to it, while Epps, Sam, and Carly followed behind me.

"This thing's a military UAV. Stone, check and see if it's still got power," Epps exclaimed.

Stone, I assume, walked over and examined it quickly before looking at Epps. "Yeah. It's still got power."

Epps leaned down and wiped off the excess dust before speaking. "Flight control, do you copy? Can you rotate, can you do something? Come on man, work work!" he exclaimed. Suddenly, the camera moved and stopped in front of Epps's face. "Yes, yes. Okay, they can see us," Epps exclaimed.

Sam grabbed my arm and yanked me down to the ground with him. I gave him a look and he just gestured for me to speak. I rolled my eyes and looked at the camera.

"Chicago's ground zero, okay? Can you hear us? Do you understand?" I started before grabbing Carly and motioning for her to speak.

"Sentinel Prime is here and he's got the pillars to his space bridge. They're on top of a building on Chicago Rivers called Hotchkiss-Gould Investments. The pillar that controls everything is in the southeast cupola," she informed whoever was listening.

"You have to destroy the pillar. You have to shoot down the pillar or they're going to transport Cybertron here, do you understand?" Sam finished.

I stood up and turned around, meeting the watchful optics of the ten Autobots in front of me. I grimaced. This whole entire ordeal was still so incredibly strange to me. They should be dead and I was more than happy that they weren't, but it was still strange.

"So, what are we supposed to do now?" Carly asked as she and Sam approached me from behind.

"We have to move before the fighters spot us. Wait here until we scout a route ahead," Optimus spoke.

He turned around and motioned for the Autobots to follow him. I turned around and watched as one of Epps's men loaded up a rocket.

"Do you think we could use that rocket to shoot down the pillar?" I asked.

"We're eight blocks away. We gotta get closer to take a shot," Epps answered me.

"Not closer, higher. We need clear line of sight," another man answered from a staircase. My vision shifted to what he was pointing at and I nearly choked at the sight of the glass building in front of me.

"And it's across the river. We're going to have a hell of time trying to sneak up," Epps retorted.

"We only got one shot."

I sighed and walked over to stand beside Carly.

"One shot's all we need," Sam assured them and before long, we were taking off down the ruined streets.
