The Fight Will Be Your Own

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

I hadn't slept at all last night. My emotions were all over the place. Sam and I had stayed up the entire night just contemplating everything that had been happening in just the last forty-eight hours alone. The only reason I was even remotely okay at the moment was because Sam was here with me. I hadn't even shed a tear since I said goodbye to Ironhide, Bumblebee, and Optimus. I was surprised but I was also proud of myself for it. Hide told me not to cry so I might as well just attempt to listen to him for once.

I was still more than upset that the love of my life was gone and that this time there was a very minuscule chance I would ever see him again; I was broken yet again but this time I was trying as hard as I possibly could to manage it. The emptiness had also returned but that was because of obvious reasons. My other half was now gone and in a matter of minutes, he and the rest of the Autobots would be gone for good, never to be seen again.

At the moment, Sam and I were outside sitting on top of a large white post that over looked the ocean and it also had a perfect view of the Xantium. Even from so far away, I could hear the loud engine of the spacecraft. They were getting ready to launch it and I was just growing wearier by the second. I sighed as the sound of the ship's rockets roared through the air, followed by the sound of Sam's phone ringing. I just stared at the trail of fire and smoke in the sky as the Xantium rose higher and higher into the air.

There was a glint in the upper corner of my eye and I looked farther up into the sky to see what looked like a jet racing downward toward the spacecraft. A confused look crossed my face but it was soon replaced with fear and sadness as I heard four shots. Four rockets were now hurtling toward the Xantium and my eyes widened; it didn't take me long at all to realize that it hadn't been some ordinary jet, but instead, it was Starscream. I grabbed Sam's wrist tightly.

"Sam," I spoke quietly, but frantically.

The missiles hit the Xantium and before my eyes, the very ship that was carrying the love of my life and my family, blew up. A loud explosion filled the air and I watched in horror as hundreds of different pieces of the ship fell back down to Earth and into the body of water below. All that was left of it was a large cloud of smoke in the sky. The tears brimmed in my eyes as I listened to the water splash from the intense weight of the now-destroyed ship.

No. This couldn't be possible. It couldn't be. The Autobots. .Ironhide. .they were dead. No. Everything in my life was now shattered because of the Decepticons. I had now lost almost everyone important to me because of them: Braelynn, Mudflap, Skids, Ironhide, Optimus, Bumblebee, Dino, Ratchet, Sideswipe, and even the Wreckers and Wheelie and Brains. I had absolutely nothing left to fight for, but at the same time I had everything to fight for.

I felt like giving up for good. At the moment, all that I wanted to do was go back to my lonely apartment and hide inside my closet for years and years, but then again I also wanted to go out here and fight. I wanted to get rid of these damn Decepticons once and for all; I wanted to avenge my best friend's death, my mate's death, and my family's death. I doubted I could achieve that though. Without the Autobots here, we were helpless. Optimus was right; the fight would be our own, but it wouldn't be much of a fight.

I angrily hopped off the post and walked down the platform stairs, Sam closely on my tail. Simmons and Dutch were making their way out of the building and onto the patch of grass where we stood. Sam immediately ran over to them.

"I need your help to track a phone call. He's the head of their human operations and he has Carly hostage," Sam spoke. Dutch took his phone from him and began tinkering with it.

"Well, let's head back inside then," Simmons said as he spun around and rolled back into the building.

The three of us followed him and Dutch sat down in front of a computer before hooking the cell phone up. It wasn't long before a bunch of codes were flashing across the screen. I had no clue what they meant, but Dutch apparently did.

"The call was placed in route. I'm hacking into the phone's camera now." An image flashed across the screen. "That's it! That's a live stream from the camera. It's some place. .I can triangulate this. Hold on." Dutch continued typing a bunch of letters into boxes. "It's Chicago cell sites; Trump Tower, Chicago, lower penthouse."

Looks like we're taking a trip to Chicago.

Dutch unplugged Sam's phone and handed it back to him. He fiddled with the device for a few seconds before finally speaking.

"I'm going."

Simmons looked at him. "You're sure?"

"Yes. She's done nothing but try to help me and I can be there in fifteen hours," Sam answered.

"Well, you're not going alone," Epps's voice echoed through the building.

I turned around to see him walking over to us.

"He's right. I'm going with you too," I told Sam.

Epps looked at me. "Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked me.

I nodded. "I've got nothing left to lose. Whatever happens, happens."

He frowned and grabbed my hand. "I really wish you wouldn't think like that, but let's head out."

The three of us walked back out of the building. His car sat about a block away from the large building and we walked over to it.

"I still got some of my nest friends out there. I'mma round them up and we're going to find your girlfriend and bring this guy in," Epps said as we approached the car.

"Why are you helping me?" Sam asked him as he opened the passenger's side door.

"Because that asshole killed my friends too and I've gotta look out for my niece," Epps answered him.

He shot me a look before getting in the car. I climbed into the backseat and Sam got into the passenger's seat. Epps started the car and before long we were taking off down the street.

*Please vote and comment. It'd mean so much to me. I wanna know what you guys think.*
