An Early Morning Walk in the Park in the Spring!
Enjoying the dulcet sounds of the coo-ing of the cuckoo, the harmonious rustling of the leaves of the huge mango trees, and the cool breeze kissing everything on its way from the north while walking in a park in an early morning spring while living in the heart of the city, surrounded by skyscrapers and clouds of dust hovering above the head, is something to be treasured.
Being an early bird, I always love going on morning walks. It can be considered a way of enjoying my leisure after a whole day of hectic work at school. Anytime other than the morning, I always go with my headphones plugged in, partially to avoid interactions and partially to keep myself away from the city noise and hubbub. Spring, my favorite season, is a bonus to these walks.
Although the scene is usual every day, being in the company of squirrels running hither and thither, climbing up the trees, pecking, and trying to crack hard nuts does give me immense joy and pleasure. When my legs become a little soar after walking for a long , I don't sit on benches to rest; rather, I kneel down near the flowers that have grown along the path. I keep gazing at them: some white and pink buds that will bloom into pretty flowers in a day or two; gorgeous wings of butterflies flirting over the grass flowers; Daisy-like flowers (whose name I don't know) dancing sprightly with the breeze.
Besides the cuckoos, the chirping of other birds amplify the heavenly peaceful bliss. Some days, when the temperature isn't as warm and the sun is emanating soothing snugness all around, I stand with my eyes closed, half under the shade of a tree and half under the canvas of clear blue sky, on which it seems some sailing soft white boats are painted. I stay still, enjoying the nature and appreciating it; forgetting about my woes and glooms, I enter into a world of rhapsody. Some days, when the sunshine is so bright that it becomes quite blazing for my eyes, I just lean against my favourite tree and appreciate nature. I thank life to give me an opportunity to afford this bare minimum to enjoy nature.
I often see an old grandma walking with her pet cat. Being a regular walker, I've developed an amiable relationship with her and the adorable four-pawed creation of Mother Nature. We don't talk much, as neither of us wants to destroy the tranquillity — just a little greet. Mostly, I brush my hands on the head of the cat, who purrs and makes my heart flutter.
My time is almost up by now so I, although quite unwillingly, have to return to my home to get ready for school. Howsoever, the early morning spring walks amidst the flora and fauna will always be my favourite over and above all my materialistic favourites.
