Destiny's P.O.V

I stood outside of my sister's bedroom as she got to ready for her date with her mate. While I was there, I thought about Payton holding me in her arms last week when I cried.

"So who is your mate?" I asked my sister thought the closed door

"....she is my student...Diana Carreon" she said

"Oh my word, you have a date with your student. You are crazy " Destiny said to me through the bathroom door

"Who is my mate also as I recall you like one of your students too?" she resorted

I hate when she is right

"Ugh! Yes, yes, I do, but unlike you, I haven't done anything about it, " I said to her and flicked her shoulder as she exited the bathroom

"Well, if you weren't so stubborn like mom was with dad, maybe you'd be doing the same," she said to me, and I couldn't help but think how right she was about that

I need to stop being stubborn.

I breathed out and grabbed my car keys from the hallway table.

*At Destiny's house*

"Payton," I yelled out through the house from the living room

"Yes?" she says, coming from downstairs

"Um... could you sit down? I have something to tell you," I said her nervously

"Okay," she says and sits on the couch, then I sit down next to her

"Payton..." I say before gently grabbing her hand

"Yes?" She says, intertwining our fingers

"....I um..I really really like you," I let out

"I really really like you too," she says, smiling at me, and I smile back

"Really?" I asked her

"Yes, really," she says to me, and I pull her into a passionate kiss

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her as we pulled away

"Yes!" She basically shouted before pulling me back into a kiss
