I got up and went to the mirror in my room, examining the bruise on my abdomen while remembering the day before

*Flash Back*

"FOR WHAT?" He screamed in the face now right in front of me and grabbed my upper arm, gripping it tightly

"...." I stayed silent, afraid of what will happen when I say I got detention

"DO I HAVE TO SPELL IT OUT. WHY. DID. YOU. STAY. AFTER?" He screamed even louder and tossed me against the wall, making pain shot up my back

"I-I g-got detention for being late to class," I said, and he kicked me in the abdomen

"YOU STUPID BITCH," he says kicking me again in the abdomen after a few more hits everything faded to black

*Flashback Ended*

My flashback was interrupted by my alarm reminding me to head to school

I pulled my shirt down a little to face making my nose scrunch up from the pain

I grabbed my backpack before heading off to school.

Destiny's P.O.V

I stood at the door greeting my students as they walked in but there was only one particular student I wanted to greet

My smile grew when I saw Payton but it quickly feels when I felt a shiver down my spined

Something bad happened to her

"Payton," I say stopping her from coming into my classroom

"Yes Miss," she said looking up at me I could see the pain in her eyes

"Are you okay?" I asked her

"Yeah." She says to me but I could tell she was lying

"See me after class please," I say to her and she nodded her head and went to her desk

*After class*

The students left leaving Payton and me alone.

I went and closed the door before goi g to sit next to her

"Okay, I know there something wrong. Are you injured? You kept holding your abdomen the whole class and your name scrunched up like you were in pain, " I said to her, and she smirked a little

"So you were paying attention to me the whole class, hmm," she said with a raised eyebrow, trying to distract me

"Payton," I say in a serious tone

"Miss, there isn't anything wrong. Let it go," she says, standing up quickly and then scrunching her nose in pain

"So you're gonna tell me you aren't in pain even though I just saw that look when you stood up?" I said, standing up and crossing my arms

"....okay," she says after a few minutes of silence and lifts her shirt up, showing her abdomen

My mouth fell open, and I was ready to rip apart whoever created that big black, a blue and yellowish bruise on her abdomen

"Who did this?!" I said anger boiled inside me

"M-my d-dad," she stuttered out

Heal her make her pain go away my witch voice said

But then she will know i-

Who cares? Our mate is in pain dammit I can't argue with that

"Payton, come here," I said kindly, and she moved closer to me

"Why did you want me here?" she asks, confused and nervous

"I can't believe I'm about to ask this," I whispered to myself. "Can...can I place my hand on your bruise?" she looked at me with wide eyes

"What?" She asked me

"Do you trust me?" I asked her, and she looked into my eyes

"Yes, I do,"

"Then lift your shirt up and let me touch your bruise," I said to her, and she lifted her shirt up

I placed my hand on her abdomen, letting my magic flow through the bruise, healing it

"H-how?" She stuttered out as the pain and bruised vanished

"I'll explain as soon as you agree to stay at my house just till you can get out of the situation with your dad," I said to her

"W-what?" She says her eyes widen

"You heard me," I said to her, and she stayed silent for a few minutes
