Dragons.

I'll put how to care for these dragons at the end of all these types. I made three breeds of dragon with three different types to choose from. This is the Pugntia page! Enjoy!!

Dragon Type 1: The "Ardenti Pugntia" (are-dent-ie poung-tea-ah)

Range of Color
In their younger years, the Ardenti Pugntia are charcoal black, but as they grow they gain a rich scarlet or a flaming iron orange shade in their scales. Ardenti scales can be harvested as they age and be crafted into riding leathers that are resistant to the hot scales, though Ardenti's gain control over their temperature over time.

Range of Growth Over Time
Ardenti's live up to one hundred years and take one month to hatch. The wingspan can reach up to 34.8 meters (114'). All dragons start off as big as the palm of an average adult's hand, severely smaller or bigger could mean problems.

Nature of Dragon
The Ardenti Pugntia is a very territorial dragon. Instead of attacking just anything, Ardenti's claim a spot and grow a strong emotional attachment to it, defending it from anything with ill intent. It's fire breath allows all predators to be cooked before eaten. Ardenti Pugntia are usually bought for military proposes such as guarding bases, castles- but can be used for guarding merchants, banks, rich people. The Ardenti don't need to be coddled, but they do not take abuse and tests without a fight.

Appearance
As stated before, Ardenti's are charcoal black and grow into either scarlet or orange. All Pugntia dragons have dense scales that rarely shed, but the Ardenti aren't really sharp. They're insanely hot and can burn anyone or anything by scales alone. These scales can be (as mentioned before) made into clothing for younger mounts, but they can also be crafted into bomb like fire starters or used for torture. The male Ardenti's are bigger, bulkier builds and their snouts bend up into a small horn, while their actual horns- shaped like a burnt lightening bolt, going out towards the rider, down and in a bit, then back out- are straight back. Female Ardenti's are slimmer and do not possess the snout horn, but their actual horns curve back (up and in) towards the head. The tail is quite long and usually reverts back to a charcoal color at the tip.

Dragon Type 2: The "Sudis Pugntia" (sue-dis poung-tea-ah)

Range of Color
Sudis Pugntia dragons start off a very light shade, usually a fern green. As they age, the Sudis shed their light green color and start to turn a stormy gray. The scales are really sharp as they grow and must be handled with care because a cut from a Sudis is very fatal.

Range of Growth Over Time
Sudis Pugntia dragons are the biggest of the Pugnita dragons but start off as the smallest. Their wingspan as an adult is 39.2 meters (about 129'). It takes two months to hatch but their life span is 300 years at best. The Sudis actually has a lot of predators, which makes them alert at all times.

Nature of Dragon
Due to the surprising amount of predators, Sudis Pugntia dragons are very offensive, usually attacking anything that moves. All Pugntia dragons are loyal, but Sudis dragons take a long time to bond. They mostly bond with their own breed of dragon and travel in packs.

Appearance
While the Ardenti Pugntia dragons have two big horns, Sudis has a bunch on horns, two on the top of their head and a few on the side of their face. If the Sudis is a boy, it will have five smaller horns on the side of their face and two medium sized horns on the top of their head that arch down. Female Sudis have three bigger on the side of their face and two medium sized horns on the top of their head that arch down. Another difference between males and females is that this time males are slim and females are bulky. Their tail is huge and the spikiest part of the body, forming a ball of spikes that can bring down buildings. Ramming head first into a building with Sudis dragons will result in pain to the rider but also the entire building will be cut clean in half. They do have fire breath like their cousins the Ardenti Pugntia but it's very short range so it's more damage destroying with the tail and body than risking being shot down by fire breathing.

Dragon Type 3: The "Lumus Pugntia" (Lou-mus poung-tea-ah)

Range of Color
The Lumus Pugntia dragons are very out of place dragons for the Pugntia dragon breed, but why their Pugntia is will be revealed below. The Lumus dragons start off with snow white scales that turn to a cream/gold coloring.

Range of Growth Over Time
Lumus dragons have the biggest range in size, the wingspan could be a bit smaller than an Ardenti but could also be as big as a Sudis. They have a lifespan of 200-250 years, with a four month wait in egg stage.

Nature of Dragon
Lumus Pugntia are the cleverest of their cousins and usually do not need mounts, almost belonging to the Divium breed if it wasn't for their brash natural. They are highly territorial and can have two powers that their breed provides. Commonly, Lumus dragons have golden flames and scales that can shoot out at whatever they desire but there's a rare acid spitter, ext. Lumus crave attention, but neglect their young which usually lead to Ardenti or Sudis raising them and the development of their powers stem from that. Lumps can get powers based off the way they develop and thus are more prone to abusive owners than other dragons of this breed. Despite how they demand attention, they also demand control.

Appearance
The Lumus dragon has about four horns but the horn placement actually doesn't show if the dragon is a male or female. The horns of a female Ardenti will grow on them but so will horns pointing up on the top side of their face (like a Sudis). The gender is dependent on the scale colors- Lumus dragons that are more gold are male while more cream Lusmus dragons are females. They have the ball scale tail but that can now retract back into a normal tail if not threatened.
