Chapter: 9
Namjoon stood frozen, his face a mask of disbelief and fury. "You're giving drugs to Jimin...ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" he exploded, his voice shaking with rage. "Do you want to die or what?!"
Taehyung, leaning against the wall with an air of nonchalance that only fueled Namjoon's anger, rolled his eyes. "Hyung, it's not a big deal," he drawled. "At least I didn't kill him."
Namjoon let out a harsh, disbelieving chuckle. "Not a big deal?" he repeated, his voice dripping with sarcasm. He took a deep breath, trying to control the rage that threatened to consume him. "Not a big deal, of course," he continued, each word laced with venom. "But have you ever imagined what will happen when Y/n finds out about all this mess you've created?" He paused, his chest heaving as he waited for Taehyung's response, his eyes burning with a mixture of anger and disappointment.
Taehyung shrugged, a flicker of unease crossing his features despite his attempt at indifference. "She won't find out," he mumbled, avoiding Namjoon's gaze.
"Oh, she will," Namjoon countered, his voice low and dangerous. "Y/n is not stupid, Taehyung. She's perceptive, she's caring, and she loves Jimin. She'll notice something is wrong. And when she does," he paused, his eyes narrowing, "when she finds out that you,his friend, is the one drugging him, do you have any idea what she'll do?"
Taehyung remained silent, picking at a loose thread on his sleeve.
"She'll be heartbroken," Namjoon continued, his voice rising in intensity. "She'll be furious. She'll never forgive you. And neither will I." He stepped closer to Taehyung, his face inches from his. "You're playing with fire, Taehyung. You're playing with Jimin's life, with Y/n's trust, with our friendship. And you're going to get burned."
Taehyung finally looked up, his eyes meeting Namjoon's. "I didn't mean to hurt him," he said, his voice barely a whisper. "I just...I wanted Y/n as i love her."
"But its wrong...you will just hurt Y/n by doing and maybe you lost her forever." Namjoon said this in comfort and soft voice while putting his hand on Taehyung's shoulder."
"I'll stop," Taehyung said, his voice low and serious, a stark contrast to his earlier nonchalance. Namjoon's shoulders relaxed slightly, a flicker of hope igniting within him.
"Good," Namjoon replied. "That's the right decision, Taehyung. For Jimin, for Y/n, for yourself."
But as Namjoon turned to leave, Taehyung spoke again, his voice laced with a chilling resolve. "But I won't lose her, Hyung."
Namjoon stopped, turning back to face his brother. "What are you talking about, Taehyung?"
Taehyung's eyes gleamed with a disturbing intensity. "I'll change her world completely," he declared. "I'll make her believe that Jimin is trying to kill her. I'll plant the seeds of doubt, manipulate her memories, twist her perceptions until she sees him as a threat."
Namjoon stared at him, his blood running cold. "You wouldn't," he whispered, disbelief battling with horror.
Taehyung smirked. "Oh, I would," he said. "And I will. And then," he continued, his voice dropping to a low, menacing tone, "I'll make her believe that I'm her husband. That I'm the one she loves. I'll rewrite her entire reality, Hyung. I'll become her world."
Namjoon looked at his brother, his own brother, and saw a stranger in his place. He saw madness, obsession, a darkness that chilled him to the bone. "You're insane, Taehyung," he breathed. "You're completely and utterly insane."
Taehyung shrugged, his smile widening. "Maybe," he said. "But I'll have her, Hyung. I'll have Y/n. And you won't be able to stop me."
Namjoon's fists clenched. He wanted to lash out, to shake some sense into his brother, but he knew it was useless. He was dealing with something far beyond reason, something far more dangerous. "You're going to destroy everything, Taehyung," he said, his voice filled with despair. "You're going to destroy yourself."
Taehyung just laughed, a hollow, chilling sound that echoed through the room. "Maybe," he repeated. "But I'll have her. That's all that matters." He turned and walked away, leaving Namjoon standing there, frozen in fear, the weight of his brother's madness crushing him.
Namjoon stood there, his mind reeling from Taehyung's chilling pronouncements. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. His own brother, the person he had grown up with, the person he had trusted, had become a monster. The casual drug use was one thing, a terrible mistake, but this...this was calculated, premeditated manipulation, a complete and utter disregard for Y/n's well-being, for her autonomy, for her very reality.
He knew he had to act, and he had to act fast. He couldn't let Taehyung carry out his twisted plan. He couldn't let him rewrite Y/n's life, trapping her in a fabricated world of lies and deceit. He had to protect her, to expose Taehyung's madness, to bring him to justice.
But how? Taehyung was cunning, manipulative. He had already demonstrated his willingness to cross any line, to stoop to any level to achieve his obsessive goal. Namjoon knew he couldn't confront him directly. Taehyung would just deny everything, twist his words, manipulate the situation to his advantage. He needed proof, concrete evidence of Taehyung's actions, his intentions.
He thought about Y/n. He had to warn her, but how could he do it without scaring her, without making her a target? He couldn't just tell her that Taehyung was drugging Jimin and planning to brainwash her. She wouldn't believe him. She trusted Taehyung. He had to be subtle, to plant seeds of doubt, just as Taehyung was planning to do.
He decided he would start by talking to Jimin. He needed to know the extent of Taehyung's involvement, how long he had been drugging him, what his motives were. He needed to understand the situation fully before he could take any further action. He also knew he had to be careful with Jimin. He was vulnerable, manipulated, and possibly even dependent on the drugs Taehyung was supplying. He had to tread carefully, to gain Jimin's trust, to make him see the truth.
Namjoon took a deep breath, steeling himself for the task ahead. He knew this was going to be a long, difficult battle, a battle against his own brother, a battle for Y/n's sanity, a battle for the truth. But he was determined to fight. He had to. He wouldn't let Taehyung destroy everything they held dear.
Taehyung, a chilling smirk playing on his lips, turned and walked away, leaving Namjoon standing in stunned silence. Namjoon, his mind racing, knew he couldn't let Taehyung out of his sight. He followed him discreetly, keeping a safe distance, as Taehyung made his way back to the hotel where he and Y/n were staying. Namjoon's heart pounded with a mixture of fear and determination. He had to find a way to stop Taehyung, to protect Y/n, before it was too late. He just didn't know how.
