I woke up to something tickling my nose. At first I was to lazy to get up and see what it was considering I was just barely getting used to sleeping in after waking up at 5:10 every morning for the past ten years, sleeping in until ten was heavenly.

My stay with Mary, Robin and Eve has been everything from paradise to heaven. I loved it here, back at the house where I was raised that was just four walls that kept me away from the rain it wasn't a safe place for me nor was it warm. Here at Mary's house however is another story in the spam of a week I can truly call this my home because it s where my loved one's are It's where my family was.

Smiling at the thought of how happy I here takes my mind off of Jake's text last night for moment. My smile is quickly wiped off with a frown of irritation as once again my nose itches.

I open my eyes and right in front of my face is a foot not just any foot but Eve's foot. I knew we should have slept on our beds and just inflated the air mattress for Koko but no they wanted to sleep on the floor, I wasn't complaining I have sleep in the streets one time last year when I got home late and Jake locked me out saying this was my punishment for being late that was one of the worst days I have ever had. Sleeping outside with nothing but the cloths I had on as the cold air nipped at my exposed skin making me blue was the worst feeling one could imagine and the after math was just as worse.

Looking at Eve's foot I roll my eyes when I take notice of the Christmas tree design she had painted on her big toe nails, "What a dork," I chuckle to myself. A groan comes from Eve as she rolls my way her foot landing smack on my face making me shriek, gross feet germs!

Koko screams in fright and Eve sits up yawning and stretching her arms as she looks at us annoyed for waking her.

"Stop screaming some people are trying to sleep." Eve grumbles going back to bed.

"Why did you scream?" Koko ask her hand over the spot her heart was beating rapidly.

"It was awful Eve's foot was in my face, gross." I shudder making Koko laugh and Eve moan telling us our talking was not appreciated.

Feeling hungry I get up Koko following behind, " What you doin?" Koko asks yawning watching from behind the kitchen counter as I pull out ingredients after ingredients, "Bacon, egg's, milk, chocolate chips, and pancake batter, " I mumble to myself checking each ingredient off my mental list. Once all the ingredients are set I turn to Koko, " I'm making breakfast," Was my simple reply.

"Can I help?" She asks coming to stand besides me, I nod my head saying that was fine with me. I hand her the Milk, eggs, batter, and oil to stir and start on the pancakes. Meanwhile I get started with making scrambled eggs and then the bacon.

After the food was done Koko helps me set the table. The smell of breakfast was wafting around the room and the house. Within five minutes Eve, Robin and Mary walk in looking hungry.

"You have a little bit of drool." I tease Eve who wipes the corner of her lips only to feel nothing. She turns to me and playfully glares I give her a cheeky smile of my own. It feels so good to have a part of the old me back when I'm around them I find myself going back to who I use to be as a child.

"Carol honey you did't have to make breakfast." Mary says with a frown. I give her a smile and hug her.

"I wanted to it's the least I could do for how much you all have done for me plus it wasn't just me I had help," I assure her giving a wink to Koko who smiles at me in return.

After breakfast I got ready for the day that I was going to be spending with Nick and Bella. Oh how I miss the little cutie.

"Awe you're glowing!" Koko sequels looking at me while I comb through my blond locks.

I blush hiding my face by playing with the ends of my hair, " You really like him don't you?" She asks coming behind me, i nod my head and she grabs the brush combing through my hair and then straightening it.

"I do," I admit looking at her from the mirror a small smile on her face as I confess my feelings for Nick.

"I'm so happy for you Carol, you deserve your happy ending." She says frowning. Icould tell she was thinking about all the times she would say things to me and beat me.

"You know it's in the past now right I don't care about what happened between us what matters is the present." I tell her giving her a smile getting a teary one in return.

"You are so good Carol your mom would be so proud of you...I know I am." She says wiping a fallen tear from under her eyes.

"That means a lot to me." I say turning to her and hugging her.

The sound of the door bell ringing down stairs alerts us that Nick was here. In that moment the butterfly's in my tummy start to move around and my hands start to clam up. 

"Do I look good." I timidly ask Koko referring to my black skinny jeans, white long sleeve top and black coat.

"Yes you look great, here" She says handing me a white winter beanie. Taking it i head down stairs Koko trailing close behind. Once I am down stairs Koko goes to stand next to Eve and the two smile encouragingly at me as I make my way towards the door where the guy that makes my heart beat 100 mph stands.

I wave goodbye to the two grinning girls and I tun the door knob opening it to reveal Nick. He was wearing a dark grey long sleeve and a black winter jacket on top, for bottoms he had normal dark blue jeans with his black timberland boots as shoes. In short he looked hot like always.

"Hey." I awkwardly say closing the door behind me and playing with the buttons on my coat.

"Hey," He says just as nervous as me. Do I make him nervous!?

"You look b-" He start only to get cut off my a honk, we turn our heads to see a smiling Bella who had crawled to the front and pressed on the honk.

Nick sighs annoyed but not as annoyed since it was his sister, "Come on," I say growing some courage and grabbing his hand interlocking our fingers. I pull us to the car and when we get there he lets go of my hand and opens the car door for me.

"Thank you." I shyly mumble giving him a small smile which he returns with a wink making me blush a rosy red.

"Carol!" Bella sequels exitedly from the back seat. I turn to her with a big smile on my face.

"Hey princess I missed you." I tell her.

She smiles at me, " I missed you sooo much too." She says stressing the 'o' in so.

Nick got in the car and smiles at us before turning the car on and driving to our destination. Five minutes into the car drive my curiosity was killing me, I just had to know where we were going. It's not that I didn't trust Nick I just have this thing were I get anxious if I have no idea where I am going or what to expect.

"Nick where are we going?" I ask hoping he wouldn't reply with 'it's a surprise', luckily he didn't and had no problem with letting me know exactly where we are going and what we were going to be doing.

"I wanted to take you guys to the park, they just opened the ice skating ring I thought it would be fun to have Bella try it out and you if you want to of course." He says not taking his eyes from the snow covered road.

"That sound nice." I tell him a smile on my face. I love the park specially in winter when the trees are covered in snow and to make things better I finally get to do something I have always wanted to do...Ice skate. I can only hope that I don't embarrass myself by falling on my face but knowing my luck I will do just that.

We made it to the park ten minutes later all three of us walk to where the ice rink is located. When we got there Nick payed for three pair of skates.

"You coming?" Nick asks from inside the rink his hand enclosed in Bella's. I stare at him biting my bottom lips looking at the ice uneasily. I don't think I can do it I'll fall and embarrass myself then everyone including Nick will laugh.

"I, I don't know how to?" I say looking at him. He frowns when realization on what I just said finally sets in. He gives me an encouraging smile and outstretches his other hand silently telling me to take it.

I hesitate at first but then I slowly grab his hand moving in small steps so as to not fall on my face.

"I wont let you fall the both of you." He says looking at both me and Bella.

We have been going in circles for a while now and as embarrassing as it sounds Bella has gotten the hang of skating after the third loop around meanwhile I am still holding onto Nick for dear life.

"Hey what's wrong?" Nick asks looking at my frown.

I quickly look up at him and try to play it off as nothing but he knows me so well by now, " It's nothing." I assure him with a smile at the end.

"No it's not now tell me what's bugging you?" He all but demands but not in a rude way more on the lines of caring.

"It's just that everyone even the little kids can ice skate but I can't even move one foot without falling." I confess frowning.

"I see." He says letting me go but going behind me and grabbing my waist. I was shocked and made a small gasp sound.

"W-what are you doing?" I ask him secretly enjoying his hands around me.

"Teaching you how to ice skate, now focus. Bend your knees...good, Move your right foot slowly...good job, now move your left one...yup see you got this. Good now do that over again and don't forget to lean here and there but not to much," He instructs his breath near my ear making me shiver in delight still I did as he instructed feeling more determined to learn.

We go around a circle and I am actually moving my feet this time. Nick is still behind me whispering encouraging things into my ear making me blush red as people around us look at us with adoration.

"I'm gonna let go okay, you can do this." Nick says. My eyes flash open in fear but before I could say anything his hold on me is gone and I forgot about my fear and focus on slowly gliding my feat so I don't embarrass myself in front of all the people now watching me. I smile when I was actually moving by myself with no Nick to help me stand.

"I'm doing it!" I cheer giggling excitedly. Nick is besides me within a second and Bella skates besides me on my other side smiling at me as well.

"Good job Carol." She says smiling at me before skating a little up ahead of me and Nick.

"I knew you could do it." He says proudly.

"Thank you," I tell him with a smile on my face.

"Anything for you." He says grabbing my hand and kissing the top of it.

The rest of the morning we skated Nick's hand in mine and a smile on my face as I think of how much my life has changed for the better in the past week.
