A Free-verse

I couldn't catch my breath
I've never felt so unsteady
It left me powerless
Everything on my shoulders became more heavy

When it ended I still shook
I truly couldn't help it
I couldn't even turn a page in my book
To read about the ending

The ending where everything turned fine
When hope was found once again 
That's something I wish I could find
But for now I'm here at my sanity's end
