hey everyone!

i haven't posted anything in this thing for a while, so i thought i would. i also thought this would be a great time to give you all an update on my ongoing projects.

first of all, i'll give you all a little life update. i'm graduating college in MAY! and i'm terrified. after switching degrees a few times (which is a perfectly normal thing to do) i finally settled on general biology. i've accepted an internship for the summer and hope to eventually work full-time for the company. this is all super scary, as i'll be moving to a different state, but i'm also excited for what the future holds for me.

okay, and because i know some of you don't care about my life, here's some updates on what i'm currently working on (on wattpad). 

also, i know i previously did a draft tour in this book, but i don't see myself publishing any of my drafts in the near future, unless i get a super great idea for them. i barely have the time or ambition to work on what's already published. so yeah.

okay, update time! please note, i've ranked these in order of importance/most likely to be updated soon/how often i work on them, if that makes any sense at all. 

sorry, i'm rambling.

1. lover -- percy jackson

ahhh! this book. i love it. i'm in love with the plot, i'm in love with the main character, and it makes me so happy. this is what i've been spending most of my writing time on, because it's what i actually have the ambition to write. it's doing decently well, and i have a steady, yet small, group of dedicated readers that are the absolute sweetest and don't judge me when i accidentally write "hades" instead of "hermes," which has happened more times than i'd like to admit. 

please go check it out, i love it sm. 

2. ten things i hate about you -- young stephen strange

i have so much planned for this book. i know exactly how i want to end it ... the problem is getting there. i actually updated it yesterday for the first time in a VERY long time, so that was fun. it's about stephen strange's college years, and i love it. the main character is also so much fun to write, because she's kind of a bitch. i also really enjoy writing about the college experience, which is fitting, considering i'm about to graduate. the best advice i've ever been given as a writer is to write what you know, so that's what i'm doing.

and yes, this book is (loosely) based off of the film of the same name, starring heath ledger and julia stiles. 

3. fear incarnate -- it: chapter one

this one also hasn't been updated in a long time, but i was actually working on it for a bit yesterday. i love these kids so much, and i love the main character. this one will be following the movie pretty much, so there's really not too much research i have to do, or plot planning, which is nice. i just have to sit down and actually write it, which is annoying.

but yeah, i don't have much more to say about it. go check it out.

4. girl genius -- tony stark

oh, GIRL GENIUS. some of you may be surprised to see this so far down on my list. it makes me really sad that i have such a love/hate relationship with this book.

this is easily my most popular book, and i get so many comments and messages asking when i'm going to update it. i just updated it like last week or the week before, and i don't REALLY plan on updating it again anytime soon. i LOVE this story, and i LOVE tony and shelby, but i just have like zero drive when it comes to actually writing about them. i want to be fair to the story, so that's why updates are so infrequent and sporadic. i know some people will probably lose interest, and would rather just have an update, but i'm not going to just update for the sake of updating. 

and for the love of god, stop. asking. authors. when. they're. going. to. update.

nothing makes me want to never update again more than that does. 

anyways, i am drastically approaching the 21st century with this book, and that's so scary. that means i have to start writing about the movies :( which i hate. as always, i'll probably take some creative liberties with the plot. 

that's all i have to say about GIRL GENIUS, and thanks for all the love i get daily on this one. it doesn't go unappreciated.

5. the middle -- jj maybank

AGH! this book makes me so! mad! 

i was working on it consistently this summer, which is when i watched season 2 of OBX and re-watched season 1. in fact, i have a whole document full of unused scenes and quotes that i want to use for it. that never happens when i write, trust me. all of a sudden, though, it was like i just hit a wall with it. i got halfway through the chapter i'm currently writing, and i just couldn't write anymore. i want to write more so bad, because i love this character and i know exactly where i want to take the plot. i just can't seem to get over the little hump that is this chapter and it makes me so mad. 

this book doesn't really have much of a following anyway, so i don't think i'm really disappointing anyone other than myself by not working on it. i want to though! 

6. lady abbott -- tom holland | HIATUS

i'm going to be honest, i don't think this book has been updated in like 2 years. again, i know where i want to take it plotwise, i just can't get myself to sit down and write it. it was inspired by me binge-watching downton abbey (it's a period tom holland fic) and i got a lot of work done on it and then i just stopped. idk, maybe i should just sit down and try working on it. maybe something will come to me.

since it hasn't been updated in so long, i'm officially putting the book on hiatus for any future readers. my apologies.

7. sanctuary -- dacre montgomery | HIATUS

another period fic, this one with dacre montgomery as the love interest. to be honest, i am not entirely sure why i even chose dacre as the face claim for this. i've literally only watched one season of stranger things and don't even like it that much. i also watched him in power rangers. i like what i have so far for it, but i just don't know how i want to continue. i'm considering drafting the whole thing and changing the love interest to someone i like better. idk if that will even make a difference in my writing, though, as it doesn't really matter who the love interest is, since it's a lot of a.u. shit. 

this was actually a little project that i started when the pandemic first hit, and i was sent home from my college. with online classes and being home and not working at all, i had a lot of time on my hands. plus, my parents didn't bother me too much when i was on my computer, because they assumed i was doing homework, so they left me alone while i was working on it, haha.

don't expect an update on this one anytime soon :( i'm also placing this one on hiatus. 

8. poker face -- sebastian stan | DISCONTINUED

OMGGGGG. one thing about me -- i really don't love real person fanfics. i like doing period pieces, like lady abbott and sanctuary, because they're not really even about the person. like, they could stand alone as stories with different, non-famous characters, and they would still be complete stories. this one, however ... depends heavily on the fact that seb is famous.

i thought that i had a really good plot lined up for this one, and honestly, i might just scrap it. basically, the main character finds out she has cancer, meets sebastian, pretends she's not sick and has a little fling with him, intending to break it up ... and they fall in love and shit. looking back now, i think the cancer trope is really overdone and at times is so not tasteful. john green did it with TFIOS, so that doesn't mean i have to do it here.

i also unpublished a bunch of this fic because i was working on rewriting it. it was originally posted in first person POV, which i can't stand, and i was rewriting it in third person. 

so unfortunately, i will be putting this book on a permanent hiatus. i'll be marking it as discontinued :( i apologize to anyone that was waiting on an update for it. i would rather put my time into the fics described above.

9. honeybee -- archie andrews | DISCONTINUED

oh my god, i'm so embarrassed. i started this during season two of riverdale, when it was actually somewhat decent. i stopped watching after season three i think ? so yeah, it's been a while. 

this book has actually been marked as discontinued for a while, but recently there's been an influx of readers, so that's why i included it in this update, even though i'm not working on it at all. it's clearly marked as discontinued, so please don't get mad at me if you start to read it and then realize there will literally never be another update.

i don't even know what i wanted to do for plot. i was basically just following the plot of season two and self-inserting my main character. 

this was like my first fanfic that actually got a decent amount of attention when i first published it, so for a while i actually enjoyed it. but then, riverdale went down the toilet and i stopped watching, so like ... why would i keep working on this. it is sad though, because it's actually my second most-read story. i used to feel bad for abandoning it, but not anymore. 

don't blame me, blame the writers at CW. what are they even fuckin doing?

i believe that's all of my currently-published WIPs? i also have a completed supernatural fic on my profile that is super old and embarrassing (i'm not telling you the title, if you really want to read it, you can go find it, but beware) and i am so ashamed of. maybe someday i will rewrite it. i doubt that. tbh the only reason i haven't deleted it is because it's the ONLY completed story on my profile lol.
