Chapter 11
Prepare your emotions. Because they will soon be destroyed.
My heart hurts. HERE WE GO
Annabeth
"Hello Annabeth."
She didn't answer him. She didn't want to. She hated him. Hated him for leaving her for straight six days.
"Look, I'm sorry-" Peter started.
"Look, she doesn't want to talk to you. So back off." Luke got up.
Luke was two inches taller than Peter, which made him intimidating.
"Look, I don't know who you are, but Annabeth and I know each other. I need to talk to her. Privately." Peter glared.
"No-"
"Fine." I said, looking through the window.
"What?" Luke turned around, his face softening.
"He's my friend, Luke. I can talk to him." I gave a look to Luke, indicating he should leave.
Luke turned and glared at Peter before giving a shove on his shoulder. Luke walked out of the library.
"Annabeth-"
"Where were you?" I said, fighting back tears.
"I'm sorry-"
"Where were you?" She repeated again.
"I had things to do, Annabeth. I'm sorry, I really am. I just, I had a lot to deal with at home and my dad. I'm sorry." Percy stared at the ground.
She couldn't really blame him. It's not like they were close. They were just friends.
So that trip to the Pizzeria was nothing?
Her mind betrayed her.
Shut up.
She told her brain.
Annabeth got up and scratched her arm.
"Promise me you won't disappear like that again. Two days is the limit, no more, okay?" She looked into his sea-green eyes.
Similar sea green eyes she saw four days ago with the Prince.
"I promise."
Peter hugged her, tightly. She gladly hugged back, glad to have one of her old friends back.
"Ehem. Annabeth?" Luke intruded.
Annabeth quickly let go of Peter and looked at Luke.
"Why don't you announce the surprise?" Luke smirked at Peter.
"Oh, right." Annabeth nervously bit her lip.
She never thought she'd end up in a relationship. But here she was.
"Peter, this is Luke. My...first boyfriend."
All Hades Broke Loose
(A/N: JUST KIDDING, GUYS.)
"Wait, how long have you been with him?" Peter asked, trying not to grimace.
"He asked today, actually."
Luke slung his arm around Annabeth and kissed her cheek. Annabeth smiled and looked at Peter expectantly.
"I'm...proud of you." Peter smiled.
But Annabeth knew better. She knew it was a fake one. She knew he hated Luke.
Was Peter jealous?
"I really hope you and Luke can become best friends." She smiled at both of them.
She was happy with Luke. He was funny, and most importantly, he never missed a day in the library.
Annabeth quickly looked at the time, and almost shreiked.
"Oh my gods. I have to go." Annabeth pulled all of her things together, and rushed back to the two boys.
She kissed Luke on the cheek then hugged Percy quickly.
"Bye guys!" Annabeth rushed out of the library.
After a quick bye to Mrs. Williams, Annabeth ran - no, sprinted - back towards her house.
And once she got there, boy was she dead meat.
"Just can't listen to rules now, can you?" Helen asked as Annabeth was caught climbing up to her room.
"Helen-"
"Don't Helen, me. You broke the rules. Again. You do know what's next right?"
"You make my life hell! Whats the next step, huh?" Annabeth yelled, before regretting it.
She was getting too confident, and she finally spoke back to Helen.
"Did you just talk back? Tomorrow you'll be begging for mercy." Helen snarled as she pulled on Annabeth's hair to the door.
Annabeth shrieked and whimpered at the pain. Helen kept tugging on Annabeth's hair while the walked down the stairs, and into Helen's room.
"You'll regret everything after this lesson." Helen snarled as she slammed the door closed.

Annabeth
She woke up to a huge headache and sunlight.
Am I in the backyard?
She remembered every single tortument of yesterday, and she grimaced. There was a huge pool of blood around her, and she looked at the palms of her hands.
They were covered in blood.
Her blood.
Helen never made a beating towards Annabeth. This was new. And Annabeth was terrified.
Her back started aching and swelling, making her let out whimpers.
Her shoulder felt like it has been chipped, and it probably was because of Helen's pocket knife.
But her abdomen hurt the worse. Annabeth got off of the floor of the backyard, and limped to the door.
As she twisted the lock, it abruptly stopped.
She tried again, only coming to the conclusion that it wouldn't open.
She started freaking out, which made her whole body ache even worse. If she stayed out here, her cuts would easily get infected.
She felt a huge bump on her forehead, which meant there was a bruise. She could barely move in this condition, and she needed medical attention.
"Help!" Annabeth yelled - but only turned into a whisper.
She was losing too much blood, causing Annabeth to see black spots.
"Help!" She yelled again desperately, which only really turned into a whisper.
"Luke!" She whispered again as she fell onto the ground.
"Peter." She whispered again, her eyelids becoming heavy.
"Please." She whispered for the last time before unconsciousness took over.
