Hello, my loves~♡ I hope that you all are well~♡ I'm extremely excited because my sister has been visiting us from Japan for the last week and it's been a pleasant visit.:3 I might be coming down with something but that's nothing new.🤣😂 I am going to sign up for a writing challenge in November.:3 It's just writing 20,000 words for the month which is doable when you're working on 2 separate stories.😂🤣 I'm actually looking forward to it this year.:3 Last year, I started halfway into the month and almost finished the challenge.🤣😂 I was at 18,000 and some odd numbers when the month ended.😂🤣 It's a fun little challenge.:3 But onto other news!~♡ This chapter contains some heavy conversational material so please remain advised when reading, loves~♡ Hopefully, this chapter doesn't seem too rushed, this was around the time that I was trying to make that deadline.🤣😂 But I also thought this would be a cute little gesture on the secondary main character's part.😂🤣 So I hope that you all will enjoy this little surprise and I'll fix the rest of the chapters if I feel like they're too rushed.🤣😂 I don't like when my work seems rushed so please let me know if you think so and I'll take it down to do some serious revising~♡ Though withouth further ado, please enjoy this new installment~♡♡♡

Taehyung stood under the hot water, trying to relieve the tension he'd been feeling across his neck and shoulders since the visit to Witches Gulch. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was still weighing heavily on him as he washed his hair, noticing more clumps of hair were rushing down his back with the water. He glanced down at the drain with a heavy sigh, tears welling in his eyes. He was terrified that Jungkook would think he was ugly when all of his hair finally fell out. He covered his face under the water, trying to force that possibility out of his mind. Although the more he felt hair slide down his back and legs, the more the thought burrowed into his mind.

Taehyung let out a soft sob before lifting his head slowly from his hands. He couldn't allow Jungkook to see him once the chemotherapy started to wither his already worn body. He'd drastically start to lose weight and all his hair would definitely fall out. Then there would be the manner of his strength plummeting to the point he'd probably need a wheelchair to get around. Especially after that first session when they intensified the medication where Taehyung could hardly stand on his own two feet. Taehyung sobbed softly once again as a quiet knock came through the door. "Tae? Are you almost finished, love? You've been in there a while now. I was starting to get worried," Jungkook called through the door, a hint of panic and desperation apparent in his voice. Taehyung hastily cleared his throat, not wanting Jungkook to hear that he'd been crying. "Y- Yes, I'll be out shortly," Taehyung called back, his eyes landing on his razor. He brought it with him because he liked to keep his body clean of any hair. It made him feel that much better about his appearance to other guys before he'd met Jungkook. Now he just did it for Jungkook.

When Taehyung heard Jungkook's footfalls slightly fade, he grasped the razor without thought. He stared at it for several moments with the intent to harm himself but was that really him thinking that? He tossed the razor onto the bathtub floor and hastily turned the water off. He needed to be away from anything he found dangerous before he did something stupid without thinking. Taehyung wrapped a towel around his waist and stood in front of the mirror. He could discern what Jungkook had now been talking about earlier as he stared into hate-filled eyes that were not his own. Once again, Taehyung found his eyes on the razor. His hands quivered as he refused to budge though. He wasn't sending any signals to his brain that was telling it to look at that dangerous tool laying harmlessly on the ground of the bathtub. "N- No," Taehyung whispered defiantly into the empty space around him, clenching his fist. Although his eyes were cast back towards the mirror where they landed directly on the parts of his hair that were thinning. Taehyung's eyes dropped slightly as he refused to look at what his mind was attempting to show him. He didn't want to be reminded and he certainly didn't want to die. That wasn't his intention when he had Jungkook by his side. Although, the voice that urged him now was gentle and loving. Telling him the things he needed to hear that would push him over that edge.

That deceiving voice that wanted to take his soul away spoke sweet words of encouragement to end his life. Taehyung covered his eyes this time, sobbing once more as he was elegantly yet almost forcefully navigated back toward his razor. His eyes opened hesitantly to see that he'd already picked it up once again, holding it dangerously close to his right wrist. The oppressing voice told him vertical would end his misery and suffering and that horizontal was for children that wanted to end their pain but didn't want to end their life. Taehyung stared at the predicament he found himself in, tears rolling haphazardly down his cheeks as he turned his razor to face the length of his forearm. His hand shook unsteadily as he continued to stare at his situation. Taehyung shook his head at the voice tempting him further, trying to remove the razor from his wrist. Although, his arms weren't budging as if someone were holding them there like that. Taehyung realized then that this was no ordinary spirit he had been dealing with and that may have been why he couldn't completely block the voice out no matter how hard he'd tried. Taehyung fought desperately against his impending situation, his hands shaking more as he focused his thoughts on Jungkook. Trying to find strength in his happiness with the younger male. Although, when those thoughts turned toward a darker direction of Taehyung being left by the other when he only appeared to be getting worse dropped his optimism to absolutely nothing. Before Taehyung could stop himself, that blade slid harshly across his delicate skin. A dark shade of red seeped over his skin as it dripped onto the floor. Taehyung panicked immediately and dropped the razor blade once again, grasping his arm now.

It wasn't that deep a wound since he'd been fighting with this thing but it was still bleeding rather substantially. Taehyung grasped the edge of the counter and slowly lowered himself to his knees as the hazy thoughts and dizziness took hold. Taehyung's breath was shallow until he thought he'd heard someone celebrate their success of him slowly dying on that bathroom floor. Although, an early celebration it was as Jungkook's voice floated through the bathroom door once again. "Tae... I haven't heard anything from you in a while. I'm still worried about you. I'm coming in so pardon my intrusion," Jungkook announced hastily, the lock clicking out of its place as Jungkook picked the lock with a needle and bent metal hanger. When he pushed the door open, the scene that greeted him was one that he'd been dreading as red droplets covered the bathroom floor. "I couldn't stop it," Taehyung whispered lethargically, his head pressed against the cabinet as his bleeding arm lay across his lap. "What have you done?!" Jungkook shouted in a panic, hastily grasping Taehyung's arm. He grabbed a towel from the rack and hastily applied the towel and pressure to the elder's profusely bleeding forearm as he called for an ambulance using Taehyung's cell phone. He crouched down next to the elder to ensure that his eyes were still open and that he was still coherent. "How could you do this to me?" Jungkook asked through tears, bowing his head and resting it against the towel on Taehyung's arm. "Wh- Why would you try to take yourself out of my life like this? Don't you want a life with me?" Jungkook asked now through sobs, still applying pressure to Taehyung's wound. Tears slipped past Taehyung's eyes as Jungkook sobbed heavily, demanding an answer to his questions to try and keep Taehyung talking.

Taehyung whined softly at the pain coursing through his arm and the throbbing in his head. "Of course, I want a life with you. I- I'm j- just terrified that you'll find me ugly once I lose all of my hair... A- And that you'll leave me because I'll only get worse before I die," Taehyung answered almost incoherently, his words becoming slurred from the blood loss. Jungkook glared up angrily at Taehyung from the position he had been crouched in, his eyes blazing with an intensity that Taehyung had never seen before. "How dare you think I'd ever do such a thing to you?! I love you with all of my heart and I wish you'd have realized that before you did something this stupid," Jungkook shouted angrily, smacking Taehyung in his chest as more tears fell from Jungkook's eyes. "How could you ever think that poorly of me?" Jungkook asked softly in defeat, more sobs following his question. Taehyung was silent as he contemplated Jungkook's questions but before he could answer, the paramedics arrived to take him to a nearby hospital to get stitches.

The next morning, Taehyung woke up in an unfamiliar room completely dressed when he didn't remember ever getting dressed after his shower. In fact, he hardly remembered much about his shower or anything that night up until after he'd slit his wrist. His right arm was covered in gauze when he looked down at it, his mind whirling with thoughts. He remembered Jungkook being furious with him for taking that action but he couldn't remember why he'd done so in the first place. He wondered if Jungkook would seriously leave him now considering what he'd just put him through last night. His eyes misted with tears at that thought, praying that wasn't the case. Although when Jungkook walked through the doors to see Taehyung awake, his eyes didn't light up like normal. "Oh, you're awake," Jungkook noted rather coldly, glaring at Taehyung's bandaged arm. Taehyung anxiously picked at the gauze, terrified of what to say next and if he'd anger Jungkook even more.

"Love... Please, listen to me," Taehyung finally asked, breaking through to Jungkook's heart before he could angrily deny him. With watery eyes, Jungkook nodded and sat down next to the bed with arms crossed over his chest. "I- I don't know why I chose to do that. One moment I'm showering and... losing my hair in chunks and the next thing I know all my thoughts are spiraling out of control," Taehyung choked out softly, tears dripping down his cheeks. "I- I just know I had a deep resentment toward myself for a moment and before I could stop it, I'd already done it," Taehyung sobbed out softly, trying to keep Jungkook's anger from boiling over. "I never intended to think you'd leave me or think I'm ugly but those thoughts kept surfacing and I couldn't stop them," Taehyung blurted out, covering his face to keep Jungkook from seeing him cry. He didn't want Jungkook to pity him because he was crying. He wanted Jungkook to be mad with him, to hit him and yell at him for his stupidity. Anything but leave him. Jungkook's arms dropped slightly when he realized Taehyung was just as emotional about what he'd committed as Jungkook had been. He'd been able to calm down slightly when the doctor told him it wasn't a deep wound and that Taehyung would be fine with plenty of rest and fluids. They surely did supply him with fluids though since he'd gone through three I.V. drips since his stitches were finished.

"Next time, talk to me about those thoughts. Don't just carelessly throw your life away because that's what you think will happen," Jungkook reprimanded tenderly, standing to his feet to now provide comfort for Taehyung. Although Taehyung hastily raised his head and Jungkook could see an intense rage burning behind Taehyung's eyes as he realized what had happened and what he'd stopped. "Tae? Were those thoughts even yours or just a figment of what something wants you to see?" Jungkook asked softly, watching Taehyung's eyes burn with a hatred for Jungkook. Taehyung shrugged nonchalantly, unsure of how to answer his question. "I think they were a bit of both. A fear of mine would be you leaving me and I think that was played upon by something else. I remember looking into the mirror and gazing into eyes that were not mine," Taehyung answered honestly, dropping his chin onto his knees in defeat. Jungkook hated seeing that look on his face but that wasn't the only look Jungkook was getting either. "I think something stayed you... I could hear it taunting you and see that it was with you when I got a glimpse of you in the camera when watching the recording at Witch's Gulch, Tae. Is there any way you could completely block it out?" Jungkook asked softly, watching the intensity behind Taehyung's irises sear even more. Taehyung lifted his head slightly and shook his head. "I... I don't know. I've never had to deal with this before... It must be that I really am going to die," Taehyung admitted softly in defeat and Jungkook knew that wasn't Taehyung talking. "No. I have faith that you'll pull through, Tae. I was just curious because whatever it is really hates me and it's searing through your eyes. It almost makes me feel like you're the one looking at me with such hatred," Jungkook admitted softly, biting his lip as Taehyung's irises burned with a strong and piercing hatred.

Taehying hastily shook his head and grasped Jungkook's hands, his eyes watery but still burning with the same intensity. "I could never hate you, love! I don't know what's going on but I want it to stop! I don't want you to be upset by something I'm not even in control of," Taehyung cried out hastily, a hint of desperation and despair apparent in his voice. Jungkook could tell that those were Taehyung's true feelings as he sighed heavily with defeat, wondering what they could do to free Taehyung. He figured the whole reason Taehyung had even gone that far was even out of his control now that he could discern the look of pure and utter animosity from something beyond Taehyung's eyes. He needed to find a way to rid Taehyung of that fear that he'd ever lose Jungkook or they'd be plagued with whatever this was for however long it took to prove Taehyung's fears were just that: fears. Nothing more. "Let's get married before we leave Wisconsin," Jungkook blurted out, that being the only thing that came to mind to rid Taehyung of that fear. Taehyung's face immediately ignited in bright red as he stared up at Jungkook with deep surprise.
