Hello, my loves~♡ I hope that you all are well~♡ I'm still feeling rather blah from whatever caused this but I'm trying to fix it as soon as possible.:3 Mainly so that I'll be in the mood to write once more.:3 I want to keep these stories going until they're finished, after all.:3 I have, however, gotten a few ideas that I'll be working on since I've kind of let my mind wander freely at work these past few days.🤣😂 So hopefully, I can incorporate them into this story or maybe another one.:3 Either way, I'm excited to keep writing.:3 Although, now onto the chapter restrictions.:3 This chapter contains mention of a near death conversation, so please be advised when reading~♡ I hope that you all will enjoy, my loves~♡♡♡

"Tae?" Hoseok's groggy voice came through the receiver, a soft groan leaving Taehyung's lips from the time difference. "I'm so sorry to wake you, Hoseok. I- I have a serious request though and I need it to be fulfilled," Taehyung stated firmly, watching the door to make sure Jungkook wouldn't hear him. Hoseok was silent for a second before the soft sound of someone sitting up calmly reached Taehyung's ears. "What's the favor?" Hoseok asked seriously, suddenly sounding more alert as Taehyung smiled softly at the ground. He had such great friends and he regret that he wouldn't be able to see them again with the doctor's prognosis.
"I need you to be here for Jungkook. I'll use my father's money to pay for your travels but if something like what happened today transpires again... I don't think Jungkook can handle it," Taehyung admitted softly, glancing at the door once more before turning his full attention toward the conversation again. Hoseok was silent once more as Taehyung heard a soft voice asking what had happened that day in the background. "What happened, Tae?" Hoseok finally asked, afraid of the answer he'd obtain as he waited with bated breath. Taehyung laughed nonchalantly, trying to play off the severity of the incident. "All I did was collapse. Although, Jungkook made a big deal about it," Taehyung blatantly lied, laughing as if it were just any other day. "Why'd he make such a big deal about it though if all you did was collapse?" Yoongi's voice rang through the receiver and Taehyung finally realized he was on speaker.

Jungkook answered Jimin's call, trying not to laugh at the frantic way Jimin greeted him over the phone. "Who the fuck do I have to kill?! Who hurt you? What happened?" Jimin asked rapid-fire inquiries in a voice that was far too demanding, ready to kill someone himself. Jungkook finally let a small chuckle slip as he realized how he must have sounded to Jimin when he left that voicemail. "I'm sorry you had to wake up to that," Jungkook started with an apology, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment. "I- It's that... It's just that I thought I lost Taehyung," Jungkook squeezed the sentence out in a rushed breath, trying not to prolong the reason he seemed so hysterical earlier. Jimin was silent for a moment before he finally spoke in a more reasonable tone. "How did you think you almost lost him?" Jimin asked curiously, concerned for his best friend's mental well-being.
Jungkook sniffled softly, trying not to cry as he recounted the events from earlier today to Jimin. "Taehyung and I were sitting down to breakfast. He was having extreme difficulty standing to his feet but I thought that he may have been sore from the night before..." Jungkook rushed past that last tidbit of information to keep from disgusting Jimin but it was too late. Jimin had heard clearly enough and made a sound of disgust before Jungkook could continue. "Well, sorry for sharing that... But it pertains to him pushing himself too hard... I had just grabbed our breakfast and was heading toward the table and Taehyung when he stared down at his hand. I noticed his nose was bleeding but before I could say anything, he crashed into the dresser behind him. I rushed to see if he'd hit his head or if he was okay while I called for an ambulance... He- He flat-lined on the way to the hospital, Jimin," Jungkook choked out with intense emotion, tears falling once again as he tried desperately to calm himself. "They tried to revive him three times! They were going to pronounce him dead when the adrenaline shot and the defibrillator finally shocked him into existence again," Jungkook cried out loudly, his emotions taking full rein once again and almost making him incoherent once more.
Jimin was silent as he listened to Jungkook cry and struggle to calm down once again. "I'm going to meet you two where you go next," Jimin stated firmly, leaving no room for Jungkook to argue. "I'll stay out of your guy's way but I can't have you going through that alone when the time comes," Jimin announced firmly, rustling noises reaching Jungkook's ears as he sniffled softly. "You don't have to do that. I don't think Tae would like that," Jungkook reasoned softly, wiping his eyes once again as Jimin shook his head. "I don't give two fucks what he likes, Kookie. You'll need someone by your side when the time comes that he can't be there anymore," Jimin stated firmly, the click of a suitcase catching Jungkook's attention. "Either you tell him I'm leaving today or I will. I'll be there in two days," Jimin declared assertively, hanging up the phone before Jungkook could protest anymore.
Jungkook stared at his receiver with a blank expression as he thought of Jimin's words and desperately tried not to cry again. He waited outside for several moments before trying to return to Taehyung's side to hide the fact that he'd been crying more from Taehyung. When he finally returned, Taehyung had just hung up his phone and smiled at Jungkook with a loving expression as he opened his arms for the younger. Jungkook hastily rushed toward Taehyung and wrapped his arms firmly around the other as he dived into the bed with him, cuddling up to him. "I love you so much, Kookie. I'm sorry I'm being stubborn but I don't want to have any regrets. I want to have a fulfilling life with you where you don't have to come to a hospice and watch me perish slowly. You'll still have to witness it but there will at least still be a life well lived in my eyes when that day comes," Taehyung whispered tenderly in Jungkook's ear, earning a muffled cry from the younger.
Jungkook nodded firmly at Taehyung's words before the elder kissed him softly, leaning him into the mattress. Taehyung pulled away and smiled down tenderly at the younger before placing another soft kiss on his lips. "I love you too, Tae. You're right... I'll witness it either way but I'd rather see you full of life and self-fulfillment before you go than regret and surrender," Jungkook noted lovingly, wiping his eyes yet again as Taehyung kissed him once more. "So please stop crying, my love. I love seeing you smile at me more than I enjoy your tears for me," Taehyung added softly, helping Jungkook dry his eyes before placing a tender kiss on his nose. Jungkook chuckled softly before lifting himself onto his elbow and pulling Taehyung toward him for a more sensual kiss.

Jimin hastily threw clothes into his suitcase, rushing around his apartment like a chicken with his head cut off as Yoongi and Hoseok entered his apartment. "Hey," Yoongi greeted happily before he watched Jimin in confusion, wondering why he was in such a hurry. "What's going on?" Yoongi asked curiously as Hoseok raised an eyebrow in interest, watching Jimin halt in his tracks. "What's going on?! Jungkook calls me crying hysterically to the point I can't understand a fucking word coming out of his mouth and I can't do anything to help him! That's what's going on! Did you know they had to revive Taehyung today?! He pushed himself too hard to the point that he was almost legally pronounced dead. If the third attempt to resuscitate him hadn't worked, Jungkook would still be in that hysterical state right about now. I can't stay here knowing that Tae is going to die soon and leave Jungkook behind like that," Jimin stated firmly, earning Hoseok's attention hastily as he blinked several times.
"Taehyung was dead?! Why didn't he tell me?! He acted like Jungkook had overreacted to him collapsing! Not that he'd flat-lined and that Jungkook was about to be mourning the death of someone he holds so dear to him," Hoseok shouted rashly, upset that he'd been left out of the loop. Yoongi patted Hoseok's shoulder in understanding and comfort, offering him a tender kiss on his cheek and a knowing glance. Hoseok sighed softly at the gesture, trying to calm down as he stared at Yoongi. "I'm sorry. I just can't believe he didn't tell me what actually happened today..." Hoseok apologized softly, earning a loving smile from Yoongi. "I understand, Hobi. Although, maybe he didn't want to worry you too. He already knew how upset Jungkook had gotten and to hear your best friend almost died would have been a shock to you too. It was just now, wasn't it?" Yoongi asked softly as Hoseok nodded, trying to calm himself as Yoongi had suggested. "It was a shock... I just hate that he didn't want to inform me of that," Hoseok added grumpily, shaking his head as he turned his attention back toward Jimin. "So what are you doing then?" Hoseok asked curiously, watching Jimin continue to gather things he thought he'd need. "I'm going to meet them at their next destination. Jungkook is going to text me the next state they're going and then I'm buying my plane ticket," Jimin explained patiently, gathering medications that would be important for him.
Hoseok glanced at Yoongi and Yoongi glanced at Hoseok before the two of them smiled. "That's exactly what we're about to do. Taehyung asked me to meet them in Arkansas and ensure Jungkook has people with him when things really take a bad turn. We were coming to ask if you wanted to come with us," Hoseok stated nonchalantly, laughing at the same mindset they had. "Since you've already decided that you are going, I'm going to go ask Seokjin and Namjoon. Bring Hyunjin with you too. Let's make this a party," Hoseok added playfully, earning a sharp jab in his ribs from Yoongi's elbow. "This is not the time to be making jokes. This is a more serious visit, remember that," Yoongi urged earnestly, grateful that Hoseok was trying to make light of the situation but also realizing this was no time for jokes. "Let's go collect Namjoon and Seokjin," Yoongi stated blatantly, pulling on Hoseok's arm and dragging him out of Jimin's apartment with him.

After being monitored for two whole days, Taehyung packed up his belongings that Jungkook had brought to the hospital for him. Their time in Missouri was coming to an end as Taehyung grabbed his suitcase. "We should take one last stroll around the city before we leave, Kookie. We didn't get to do much here because most of my time was spent in the hospital," Taehyung reasoned softly, wanting to see more than what he had seen. It wasn't much and that was already a regret to him as Jungkook smiled lovingly at Taehyung. "Then let's get you changed into something warmer quickly and we can take a pleasant stroll before we have to head to the airport," Jungkook proposed softly, earning a tender kiss on the back of his hand from Taehyung. He was excited that Jungkook had agreed to it so easily with him in a wheelchair as they made their way back toward their resort.
Jungkook lifted Taehyung to his feet and hastily changed him before lowering him gently back into the wheelchair, a frown on Taehyung's face. "I can dress myself," Taehyung whined softly, earning a fierce kiss from Jungkook to silence the sound. Taehyung was breathless and wanting more when Jungkook pulled away, staring at the younger male expectantly as Jungkook stared him down. "I know you can dress yourself but the doctor told you to take it easy so that's exactly what you're going to do," Jungkook reprimanded hastily, still staring down any rebellion Taehyung had in him. Taehyung shrunk back into the wheelchair slightly at the intense gaze Jungkook was giving him, almost feeling self-conscious at the intensity. "Okay, okay. I- I'll take it easy," Taehyung surrendered helplessly, earning a pleasant smile from Jungkook and a kiss on his nose. Taehyung huffed and crossed his arms over his chest while mumbling about Jungkook being a tease as Jungkook laughed happily. Before Taehyung could complain any further, Jungkook hooked their luggage to Taehyung's wheelchair, left their key cards at the front desk, and took Taehyung on that stroll he wanted to go on so desperately.
