Hello all you beautiful readers that have waited so long for me to update this story~♡ I apologize with how long it took but it was becoming complicated for me to keep track of two stories with completely different plots while working 40 hours a week as well.😔🥺 I can't apologize enough for how long it has taken for me to regain the rhythm of this story and the plot I had going, so please forgive me if this chapter is a mess. I promise you that it will get better again~♡ I just have to remain in stride~♡ This story is already almost halfway done in my drafts now~♡ I just have to edit them.:3 I release them slowly so that I'm not scrambling for content, especially if I hit writer's block unexpectedly.😂🤣 So the chapters will still be released weekly to keep me from panic updating.🤣😂 Nobody wants that but deadlines are my enemy.😂🤣 Enough about my poor excuses for leaving this unfinished for so long and onto the advisory warning~♡ There are dark thoughts of death and leaving things behind or unfinished as well as unwanted physical contact within this chapter so please be advised when reading~♡ But without further ado, I give you the next installment~♡ Please enjoy, my loves~♡

Taehyung smiled to himself as he walked down the clean beach of Florida solo, his shoes in hand while the crisp water lapped at his feet. He shoved one of his hands into the pocket of his navy cargo shorts, sighing softly to himself. He wondered if he was ever going to be able to finish his bucket list in case things did take a turn for the worst. He always tried to be optimistic ever since he'd received the news, but current events and dark thoughts were making that harder with each passing day.

He removed his hand from his pocket and gripped his camera, aiming it out towards the endless cerulean blue sea. He stopped walking long enough to snap a few pictures, even kneeling to capture the ocean at all different angles. One where the sun reflected magnificently off the blue ocean, casting the sea in luminous orange in the picture. He hoped that Jungkook would be happy when he saw these pictures Taehyung continued to take for him. He also hoped that if things did turn out for the worse, that Jungkook could look back at these photos and remember all the conversations and letters they'd sent back and forth. He was certain that he would, even if it came to his final moments.

Taehyung felt a knot form in his stomach from that line of thinking, his heart throbbing painfully as he shook his head in dismay. Things couldn't take a turn for the worst. He wouldn't allow that. Especially not before meeting Jungkook in person at least once. Then he could die a happy man, although then he realized he'd constantly be praying to God for just one more day- every day after that.

Many couples passed him on his trek along the beach, making Taehyung feel even lonelier as he snapped pictures of the clear skies with fluffy white cotton candy clouds dangling listlessly in immense blue. Many of the girls, even the ones with boyfriends, stared him down as if he were a deer during open hunting season. It almost made him feel uncomfortable if he hadn't been used to it from his previous CEO. That man had always been staring Taehyung down like he was starving and Taehyung was his last meal. That. That made him uncomfortable. Not so much these lingering lustful stares from women on the beach.

Taehyung ignored them just as easily as if he'd acknowledged them and went about his way, snapping more pictures for Jungkook. He was going to send Jungkook this letter and hope that he received one back again. He enjoyed texting Jungkook and the late night conversations, but he missed the nostalgic feel of sending him a letter and all the pictures he'd taken during his travels. It was, after all, the start that ushered to their friendship that soon turned into a romantic relationship. He honestly never thought Jungkook would want to be with someone like him. Someone who others could manipulate easily and push around. Although he was glad when Jungkook had accepted his offer to be more than friends. That had made his heart soar with delight and even now, his heart sang just at the thought of being in a relationship with Jungkook.

Taehyung crouched down when he noticed something shimmer in the sand, picking it up to inspect it. It was a small, iridescent pale blue to soft purple seashell that captivated his attention. It glimmered brightly in the setting sun's evening glow as he turned it this way and that in his hand. With a soft smile on his face, Taehyung gently placed the seashell in his pocket with the intent to send it to Jungkook with his letter and pictures. Taehyung remained crouched there in the wet sand, allowing it to sift through his long and elegant fingers as he played with the sand. He smiled as he discovered more of these seashells buried under the sand, picking them out and placing them in his pockets. At this rate, he may have to send Jungkook another small care package rather than just an envelope.

Although, Taehyung didn't seem to mind that as he collected one pretty seashell after another. Each one unique and beautiful in its own way. Taehyung finally stood up straight and glanced off into the distance, wondering how far a drive it would be from Daytona beach to Universal Studios or Disney World. His inner child was ready for another day at an amusement park and he figured it would be something he could cross off his bucket list- whether Jungkook was with him or not. Taehyung frowned at that thought, but he didn't know if he'd ever get to see Jungkook in person again. The visiting an amusement park with Jungkook and the other things he had planned out for them may never be crossed off his bucket list. That thought hurt him more than any words could as he shuffled along the water yet again.

With the thought that he needed to get out of his own head, Taehyung trudged up the beach and towards a road so that he could hail a taxi. He wasn't going to keep sulking and wait for something that may never happen. He was going to continue crossing things off his bucket list, in case things didn't go well for him in the end. Taehyung waved his hand high above his head with a friendly smile, trying to get someone to stop for him. Once the taxi came to a stop in front of him, Taehyung climbed inside and asked to be taken to Orlando so that he could visit Disney World and Universal Studios.

Jungkook languidly glanced at his phone, hoping he'd receive a message from Taehyung soon. He already felt it had been far too long since they'd last had a decent conversation and Jungkook was just anxious to talk with Taehyung again. Although, Jungkook felt that sending another message would just make him desperate or clingy and he didn't want Taehyung to have a bad impression of him before they met. So in an attempt to try and curb his mind from the persistent thoughts of Taehyung, Jungkook meticulously wrote out a packing list of all the items he was certain he'd need. Especially since he decided he was going to stay beside Taehyung while they traveled the rest of Taehyung's destinations together.

Jungkook had finalized that decision the night Taehyung revealed he was fulfilling a bucket list in case he didn't make it. That thought alone had hurt Jungkook, but he wasn't just going to abandon Taehyung either. He was going to make sure that Taehyung's days were full of love and laughter while praying for his health daily.

Jungkook placed his pencil down across his list and glanced at what all he'd written down. He wanted to be absolutely certain that he wasn't forgetting to write anything down because that would mean he'd forget to pack it later on. Even if he was aware that he'd be double-checking everything to ensure he was well prepared for a long journey. With that thought, Jungkook picked his pencil back up and added the pictures of Taehyung to the list of objects to pack. He couldn't leave any of those behind, even if he would be coming back.

Jungkook glanced at his phone once more, more anxious this time because it had been some time since Taehyung had last spoken to him. The anxiety had been there since Taehyung revealed he'd been attending regular chemotherapy sessions, even during his trip. To Jungkook, that just meant it was more serious than Taehyung had let on during that conversation. Almost like Taehyung was trying to make light of the dire situation he currently found himself in. When his screen still hadn't lit up with any notifications, Jungkook sighed heavily and proceeded to write his list well into the night.

Jungkook woke up that morning with his back aching from leaning over to write that list. He was so intently focused on making sure it had everything he'd need, that he hadn't realized when his back had started to hurt from being in the same position for too long. Jungkook stretched his back, making sure to stretch the muscles in his arms and chest as well. Jungkook leisurely stood to his feet, grumbling about it being too early in the morning, but he needed to save more money to be more prepared to travel with Taehyung.

Jungkook hastily dressed himself in a maroon button up shirt with a black and gray vertical striped vest that cut his waist to make him appear even slimmer before finishing up his morning routine. With his hair neatly brushed and his teeth brushed, Jungkook rushed to pull on his long, black socks and his dress shoes. He had a reason to dress in such a captivating way. If Jungkook could take the CEO's attention off of Taehyung, maybe he wouldn't try so hard to bring Taehyung back to work there.

With that thought in mind, Jungkook hastily set out early enough to make it to work before any of his friends. He didn't want them to see him blatantly trying to seduce the CEO. Jungkook was certain he could trust them not to tell Taehyung about it, but he just didn't want to have to explain his plan either way. Jungkook tucked his phone into the pocket of his tight, black slacks, grabbed his briefcase, and left his apartment without another thought. So that he wouldn't change his mind halfway through his plan.

When Jungkook arrived at the office dressed the way he was, he immediately caught the eye of the CEO. Jungkook had to cringe at how fast his attention shifted as he smiled pleasantly at the CEO and waved in acknowledgment. The CEO smiled pleasantly back at Jungkook as he eyed his body up and down before approaching the younger male. "Jeon, was it?" The CEO inquired astonished, still glancing Jungkook up and down as Jungkook nodded. "I remember you yelling at me from a previous conversation," the CEO added as Jungkook mentally slapped himself for that. Jungkook's plan wasn't so fail proof if he remembered that.

"Now, I can see that it was just misdirected seduction because you didn't want to draw attention to the fact that you're captivated by me, right?" The CEO implored, full of himself as Jungkook swallowed hard and desperately tried to hide his eye roll. Jungkook felt sick to his stomach just hearing those words as he tried not to gag at the CEO's audacity and narcissism. "O- Oh, o- of course," Jungkook lied straight to his face, feeling his stomach twist into knots. "If that's the case, why not join me for lunch today?" The CEO asked audaciously, placing his hand at the small of Jungkook's back and guiding him inside the building.

Jungkook wanted to smack the man's hand away with how dangerously close it was to resting on his behind. He could actually feel the CEO's fingers trying to test the waters as Jungkook turned away from the man's touch and backed away. "I guess I'll see you at lunch then," Jungkook called nervously, hurriedly walking towards the elevator to his office. He could feel the CEO's eyes on him the entire way and it made him uncomfortable. Now Jungkook knew why Taehyung would flirt with him but never actually commit. The man was far too creepy to be someone else's dream partner.

When Jungkook finally made it to his cubicle, he already had a request waiting for him from the CEO. Jungkook was already wanted in the presence of that man yet again. Jungkook felt his skin crawl as he picked up the small, neon pink sticky note off his cubicle phone. Jungkook glanced around the office floor to discern who it was that might have answered his phone, but he saw no one noteworthy. With a soft sigh, Jungkook placed his briefcase down by his chair and made his way back towards the elevator. Jungkook had attempted not to drag his feet in the request but found himself stopping the elevator at every floor on the way up to avoid being in the presence of the CEO for too long. Once he made it up to the top floor, Jungkook was greeted with the curtains drawn shut within the CEO's office and the lights dimmer than normal.

Jungkook glanced around hesitantly, realizing something wasn't right immediately. Taking several steps back, Jungkook felt two hands on his waist and just about jumped out of his skin with a yelp. He quickly turned his head to see the leery gaze of the CEO boring into him as he tried to step away from the situation. Only to find that the CEO wasn't going to let him go when his fingers tightened around his waist. "Mm, d- do you m- mind not grabbing me so hard? I- I tend to bruise easily," Jungkook lied earnestly, trying to get free from this man's clutches. Wasn't there something about sexual harassment in their employee hand book? Jungkook smiled half-heartedly, trying to free himself yet again. Only to be pulled closer to the CEO by his waist and suddenly the panic button was pressed within his sanity.
