Jungkook swallowed hard as his department manager yelled at him about his performance in the last few weeks. "Is your head in the clouds?! What has you so preoccupied that you fuck up the weekly report not once but twice, Jungkook? What's going on up there?!" The manager asked, flicking Jungkook in his forehead.

Jungkook winced as he rubbed the sore spot on his forehead and stared at his manager. "I- I'm sorry. I- I'll get them right this time," he offered, trying to please his higher up. The man crossed his arms over his chest and shook his head. "That's not good enough. You have failed me twice. You think I'm going to give you another opportunity to disappoint me?" The department manager asked, sighing heavily as he stared at Jungkook. "No. Instead, I want you to do some filing. Your head would have to be totally in the clouds for you to fuck up filing paperwork," the manager stated, lifting a large stack of papers up onto his desk. "There you go. I want all this filed before the end of your shift."

Jungkook stared at the papers with contempt before pulling all of them into his arms. They were heavier than he anticipated as his knees tried to buckle under him. With his arms past his waist and the stack of papers pressing into his chest, Jungkook turned towards the door to leave the department manager's office. He staggered out of the door with the stack of papers, making his way back towards his own cubicle.

He sat down at his desk as his thoughts began to race once more, his eyes scanning the paperwork in front of him. It had been a week and he still hadn't sent anything back to Taehyung yet, wondering what picture he could send without appearing unattractive. But then again, why did he want this stranger to think he was attractive? He didn't have feelings for Taehyung. That was for certain.

Jungkook sighed heavily before slamming his head down on his desk. It took the radiating and throbbing pain in his forehead for him to realize he'd done that too hard. He groaned softly as he slowly lifted his head and began sifting through the stack of documents. His mind wandering once again as he pulled Taehyung's picture off of his cubicle wall. He was glad that nobody had seemed to notice it there because then they'd know what was distracting him so much. He stared at the picture once more, losing himself to his own little daydream. He imagined them living together, spending time together, and even sleeping together in the same bed before he felt the heat in his face. Did he want to date this guy? Why would he even imagine them sleeping together like that?!

Jungkook was in full panic mode over his imaginations when a soft voice spoke over his internal screaming. "Who is he?" came the soft question from his cubicle partner. He peered up to see her leaning over the wall and staring at the same picture in his hands. "He's handsome. Is he your boyfriend?" She asked another question, tucking her arms under her breasts to accentuate them more.

Jungkook stared at her in complete silence as he swallowed hard, shaking his head absentmindedly. "Well, do you want him to be your boyfriend?" she asked yet another question, catching Jungkook off guard. "Wh- what makes you think that I'd be interested in guys? I- I like women... At least, I- I thought I did," Jungkook answered softly, dropping his gaze to the picture of Taehyung clutched tightly in his hands. His cubicle partner smiled as she hopped down from the wall and came around the side of Jungkook's cubicle.

"You want to know how you get a good looking man's attention?" She asked, smiling as she beckoned Jungkook closer. She whispered softly in his ear what he should do to entice Taehyung's curiosity before Jungkook pulled away with wide, innocent eyes. "I- is that really what a- a man like Taehyung ex- expects? I- I've never taken a- any kind of photos like that," Jungkook mumbled softly, blushing bright red from her words. "You should try it. I'm certain he'll be trying to get in them pants afterward," she announced, snatching the photo away from Jungkook.

Jungkook reached out for the photo, only for her to hand it back to him. "I think he used to work here, actually. It's a damn shame he was only interested in our male colleagues. I think you're just his type too," she confessed, shaking her head in dismay. "Such a waste of a man." Jungkook gently traced the photo before standing to his feet and grabbing his suit jacket off the back of his chair. He pulled it over his white, button-up shirt and promptly ran down the hallway towards the exit. He wanted to send Taehyung's letter off as soon as he possibly could now. His thoughts far away from the work he still needed to finish before the end of his shift.

He quickly grabbed a piece of paper, a pen, and printed a picture that he'd just taken of himself off of his cellphone. He sat down at one of the cafe's tables and quickly began to write his letter:

Dear Taehyung,

I really like the name Taehyung more. I̶t̶ ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶r̶e̶f̶i̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶e̶l̶e̶g̶a̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶j̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶.̶ Please ignore that. I don't know what I'm saying. I̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶n̶e̶r̶v̶o̶u̶s̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶s̶i̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶l̶e̶t̶t̶e̶r̶ ̶c̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶a̶f̶t̶e̶r̶ ̶I̶ ̶t̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶q̶u̶i̶t̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶t̶a̶c̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶m̶e̶.̶ Please ignore that as well. I'm so sorry. I did include a picture as you asked, but I was told you would want nude photos. Is this true? I don't have any at the moment and I'm in no location to take any right at this moment, but I can include them in my next letter to you if you'd want them. I hope all is well and I look forward to your next letter. I'm excited to meet you in person as well~ Please hurry here~ W̶i̶s̶h̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶e̶a̶d̶~̶♡

Warmest regards,
Jungkook~♡

Jungkook quickly sealed the letter, writing Taehyung's current address on the envelope, and slipped it into the outgoing mailbox before he could change his mind. Otherwise, he would have never sent it off as he trudged back towards his office for his mundane job that he needed to finish. He didn't want to be fired because then where would he receive his letters from Taehyung if he were to be kicked out, but he surely wasn't pleased with the job he'd been assigned either.

A week later, Taehyung excitedly accepted an envelope from the front desk that was addressed from Jungkook. Taehyung tucked the envelope close to his chest as he made his way out of the hotel to go trekking up the Diamond Head Trail. With the envelope held close to him and his camera in hand, he set out to take pictures of beautiful Hawaii.

Taehyung stepped out of the hotel lobby and walked over towards a cafe as he pulled the envelope out. He took a seat and slowly opened the seal as a smile crept across his face. Before completely opening the envelope, he ordered something small to eat and water so that he wouldn't feel like he was just taking up their space. He quickly tore the rest of the envelope open in his excitement, dumping the contents onto the table in front of him.

Before he could pick up the letter or photo from Jungkook, his water and pastry were placed in front of him. He politely smiled up at the person as he took a small bite of the pastry, opening the letter as he started to read it. He even read the parts Jungkook had crossed out and asked him to ignore because how could he not read them too. Taking a sip of water to wash the dry pastry down, he choked when his eyes wandered over the part about Jungkook asking if he should send nude photos. Taehyung coughed harshly as he tried to regain his composure, roughly patting his chest as he reread that part. Who told Jungkook that he wanted nude photos?! He was perfectly fine without those! Although he was curious, he'd never ask for them!

Taehyung cleared his throat and shook his head as he picked the picture of Jungkook up and turned it to where he could see him. He was struck by Jungkook's appearance and how his hair and eyes contrasted that perfectly white, pristine button-up shirt. He felt his heart rate pick up as he glanced down at the protruding bulge in his pants. His eyes widened in surprise as he thought of anything and everything that he found unattractive before glancing at the earrings that Jungkook wore in the picture, appreciating Jungkook's sophisticated style with a glimmer of rebellion.

Taehyung smiled at the photo as he tucked it into the pocket of his shirt and patted it close to his heart. It would be safe there, but now he was even more curious about Jungkook. He was exactly the type of guy that Taehyung was attracted to when it came to style, but now he was wondering what Jungkook's personality was like. He felt a physical attraction to Jungkook, but that wasn't all a relationship was based on and Taehyung wanted to be emotionally connected to him as well.

He quickly finished his pastry and drank some more water before he placed some money on the table and left for his hike. He skipped along the sidewalk until he found a cab to take him towards his destination, where he began his hike and began snapping quick pictures. He wanted to make sure he captured the beautiful scenery for Jungkook to admire because he'd never wanted to make someone so happy before. He wanted Jungkook to be happy when he looked at these images and Taehyung had never felt that way before.

He continued walking along the trail, finding a little railed off area that he stepped onto to take even more scenic photos. He knelt down, capturing the inside of the ridge before sitting down on the edge to admire the beauty of Hawaii. He sighed softly as he leaned back on his hands and kicked his feet out slightly, glancing up towards the sky. What would Jungkook think of this place? Would he want to visit after all the photos he'd sent to Jungkook?

Taehyung felt a weird knot in his stomach as he thought about Jungkook and meeting him. The letter Jungkook had wrote mentioned that he was looking forward to Taehyung's next letter and that he was excited to meet Taehyung in person. This made Taehyung happy because not very many people found what he had to say interesting and while that hurt, it also made him realize who his true and loyal friends were.

Taehyung rested his head on one of his shoulders, wondering what he would write to Jungkook this time. Should he include his number so that they can get used to hearing each other's voices too? Or would that scare Jungkook off because what if he didn't like guys like him? Taehyung tilted his head straight once again, scratching the back of his head as he stood up to continue his walk. He continued to snap pictures as well, hoping that he wouldn't frighten Jungkook by giving him his number. Of course, Jungkook couldn't even contact him until his plane landed in the United States anyway.

Taehyung was excited that he was leaving for Maine within the next few days, but that meant the mail carrier might take longer to reach him. Although, he'd realized that once he was halfway through the states, he'd be that much closer to seeing Jungkook. He smiled at this fact, wondering how Jungkook would greet him. Would he be shy and cute? Or would he be outgoing and sexy? Taehyung was inquisitive but he needed to get back to the hotel soon. With the sun setting, igniting the sky with reds and oranges, Taehyung snapped a quick picture before heading back down the trail. He didn't want to be stuck out here because he stayed too late.

Once he was back at his hotel, he picked up his camera, snapped a picture of himself, and sat down to write his postcard addressed to Jungkook. Once he was finished, he sealed it in an envelope and began to pack his bags. Even though he wasn't leaving for at least another 3 days, he wanted to make sure he had everything before leaving for the airport.
