Jungkook's breath hitched at the silence, holding his breath until it hurt his lungs. He felt like he was going to pass out, but he didn't want to miss Taehyung's answer. What was taking so long? Was he still thinking about it? Jungkook asked himself, panicking as he heard a deep, low chuckle. "Of course, I want to be your boyfriend. Even if it is long distance, for now, it won't be for much longer," Taehyung answered, smiling at the letter in his lap. "Now, quit holding your breath," Taehyung added, laughing at Jungkook's antics. Jungkook released the breath he'd been holding slowly, his lungs aching slightly as he beamed to himself at Taehyung's answer.

"I- I'm so happy," Jungkook stammered out, tears building up in his eyes as he used his sleeve to dab at them. "Y- You've made my day so much better," Jungkook whispered into the phone, still wiping at his tears as he laughed softly. Taehyung smiled at Jungkook's words before he glanced around him, remembering where he was currently located once again. "Ah, I'm glad that I could make your day better, love," Taehyung whispered over the phone. "But I really must be going for now. I can call you back later tonight, love," he added softly, glancing at the nurse as she walked away for now.

Taehyung was going to be here for a little while and she didn't have to sit there the entire duration. It just would have been nice to have someone keep him company as Jungkook readily agreed. "Then I'll talk to you later, Tae," Jungkook stated excitedly as Taehyung chuckled slightly. "Talk to you later, my love," Taehyung added before ending the call. He laid his head back once again with a soft sigh as he closed his eyes for the time being.

Jungkook relaxed in the break room with Hoseok, both enjoying a short 15-minute break, even though Jungkook hadn't worked that hard at all. Ever since Taehyung had agreed to be his boyfriend, his head had been up in the clouds rather than focused on work. Although, he didn't really care as Jungkook approached Hoseok with uncertainty. He didn't know if he should broach this subject with Hoseok after their night out when Hoseok found out Taehyung had been writing Jungkook instead. He knew that had hurt Hoseok's feelings, but he was also wondering if Hoseok had issues with other people hitting on Taehyung or making comments about him.

"Hey, Hobi?" Jungkook questioned softly, earning Hoseok's attention from the coffee machine. He turned his back towards the machine and leaned against the counter with a soft smile. Jungkook could tell that Hoseok was absolutely exhausted. He could see it in his eyes and under them."What's up, Kookie? Something on your mind?" Hoseok teased, poking Jungkook's sides playfully. Jungkook giggled softly, wiggling out of Hoseok's grasp as he smiled back at Hoseok. "I- I was just wondering something about Tae," Jungkook started, noticing Hoseok's demeanor shift only slightly this time. He had noticed that Hoseok was doing better about hiding his sorrow whenever Taehyung was mentioned and that worried Jungkook.

"What do you want to know about him?" Hoseok asked softly, remembering everything that Taehyung had once told him as if his life depended on Taehyung's words. "I can tell you anything that he's told me. But you don't have to be so anxious about asking," Hoseok added, smiling softly at Jungkook's apprehension. Jungkook nodded softly as he continued without another moment, not wanting to keep Hoseok away from work for too long. "Did you have issues with other people hitting on him? Or talking about him in more sexual ways? Even if they don't actually mention sex though?" Jungkook asked, watching Hoseok's expression shift once again.

He chuckled softly and leaned back into the counter, shaking his head. "Boy, have you something to learn about Tae," Hoseok started, giggling softly as he grabbed his fresh cup of coffee and took a sip. "So, a lot of people around the building found Tae attractive, obviously. He is a kind-hearted soul that's just as loving as he is childish, friendly, and good looking. So some people, like the CEO, mistook his being friendly for him being flirtatious. Although, Tae never corrected those people because some people, like the CEO, let Tae have his way all the time. If Taehyung felt lazy that day and didn't want to do a lot of work, he'd ask the CEO to join him for lunch and then complain about how tired he felt. Of course, the CEO would give him the rest of the day off without taking any of his sick leave. It was quite interesting to see, but Tae had the CEO wrapped around his little finger," Hoseok chuckled, watching as Jungkook nodded in understanding. Jungkook had kept hearing that Taehyung was a very desirable man and Jungkook could see why. After all the pictures he'd collected of Taehyung and listening to his voice, he was beginning to see why so many people were attracted to him.

Hoseok waved his hand in front of Jungkook's blank expression, snapping Jungkook out of his thoughts as he pursed his lips. "Go on," Jungkook urged, focusing on Hoseok again. Hoseok sighed softly as he took another sip of his coffee before continuing. "I have heard some derogatory remarks from the CEO about Taehyung. Remarks more related to wanting to bend Tae over his desk. When I told Tae about that we both shuddered and had to laugh. What did he say about Taehyung this time?" Hoseok asked, sipping his coffee once again.

Jungkook could feel his blood boil all over again, just thinking of the other remarks that he hadn't heard about Taehyung. "He said something along the lines of Tae would want to date him if he threw enough money at him," Jungkook declared, balling his fists to keep from hitting something. Hoseok sighed in annoyance and shook his head. "Yeah, that sounds like something he'd say... Although, Tae would never date him. I already asked and Tae's even mentioned that the CEO is old enough to be his father. So you don't have to worry too much about it," Hoseok stated softly, clapping a hand on Jungkook's shoulder.

Jungkook shook his head, gripping Hoseok's hand softly on his own shoulder. "I'm not worried about Tae dating him. I'm more worried about Taehyung's character being defamed with those kinds of remarks. People are going to start thinking he's a slut or worse. I thought that kind of talk and behavior wasn't even allowed in the workplace?" Jungkook asked, playing with Hoseok's fingers slightly. "I mean, shouldn't he be fired for talking about Taehyung like that?"

Hoseok laughed loudly as he continued to let Jungkook play with his fingers. "You want the CEO to be fired from his own company?" Hoseok asked incredulously as Jungkook realized why Hoseok was laughing so hard. "It wasn't that funny," Jungkook mumbled softly out of embarrassment, now pressing the two of his index fingers together. "He just really annoyed me with that comment."

Hoseok huffed softly as he offered a gentle squeeze to Jungkook's shoulder. "You seriously can't let what he thinks about Tae bother you. It will get under your skin, but you just have to ignore it or he'll keep saying shit like that purposefully around you. I made the mistake of saying something," Hoseok laughed softly before he walked over towards the door. Jungkook watched as he walked away before turning towards the coffee machine Hoseok had just been using. He made himself a quick cup of coffee before heading back towards his desk.

Jungkook sat at his desk once more, staring at his computer screen. He really didn't feel like doing any work after his conversation with Tae. In all honesty, all he wanted to do was snuggle into Taehyung's arms and forget all of his worries. He placed his chin in the palm of his hand with a bored sigh as he ticked away at keys with one hand, typing as slow as possible to pass his time at work.

Hoseok glanced up at his secretary as she entered his new office, handing him a manila folder with important documents contained within it. He sighed as he took the folder from her, waving her away with the flick of his wrist. He placed the folder on his desk and flipped the file open as he rested his chin in the palm of his hand. His eyes widened as he glanced over the document that was forcibly reinstating Taehyung as an employee within Hoseok's department.

Hoseok quickly stood to his feet and left his office with the manila folder in hand. His secretary watching as he rushed towards the elevator, determined about something. Hoseok quickly pushed the button to the elevator, tapping his foot impatiently as he waited for it to reach his floor. Once the doors opened, he rushed onto the elevator and hit the button for the top floor.

Once the doors opened again, Hoseok sprinted towards the CEO's secretary that was off to the right side of the elevator. He slammed the folder down on the secretary's desk, startling them as he stared at him hard, his hand still pressed against the folder. "I need to speak to your boss about this," Hoseok expressed, his voice strained as he tried to control his temper. It wasn't the secretary's fault. He nodded hastily and called the CEO through the telephone on the corner of his desk.

With clearance obtained, the secretary nodded towards Hoseok and Hoseok grabbed the file off the secretary's desk and entered the CEO's office. He marched straight up to the CEO with a refined and restrained expression as he held up the manila folder. "What is this? What you're doing is illegal! Taehyung quit for a reason why are you forcing his reinstatement?! He's not even here," Hoseok cried, throwing question after question at the CEO in his frustration.

The CEO looked at the file folder and shrugged nonchalantly, watching Hoseok's expression falter. "I figured I'd help him along," the CEO announced, propping his feet up on his desk. Hoseok slapped the folder with the palm of his free hand. "Help him along how?!"

The CEO straightened back up at Hoseok's tone, placing his feet flatly on the floor. "He promised he'd come back just the other day, so I'm propositioning his return referral," the CEO stated nonchalantly, crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned back in his chair. Hoseok fought the urge to throw the file straight in his boss's face, his fingers tightening around the file in order to control himself. "That was why I made you the manager of your department in the first place. I thought you would be the one to convince him to come back, but I may have underestimated Taehyung's determination," the CEO stated as Hoseok dropped the file. As much as he wanted Taehyung to return, he refused to do it this way.

"Taehyung had an incentive for leaving. He wanted to travel before it was too late for him to do so. You forcing his reinstatement is only going to make him look horrible towards other employers if he's a no show. Nobody will want to hire him again," Hoseok tried to reason with his boss, annoyed that he was having to do so in the first place. The CEO smirked deviously at Hoseok's words, signifying that he knew exactly what he was doing to Taehyung's reputation. "I know. Then he'll have to come crawling back and pleading for his employment here," the CEO announced, sitting up straight once again. "I told you one day I'd have him on his knees in front of me. Now, either you do as you're instructed or I'll find someone better suited for your position," the CEO added, turning his chair entirely away from Hoseok.

Hoseok grit his teeth in resentment before slamming the file folder onto the CEO's desk, his hand still pressed firmly against the folder. "Find somebody else then. I'm not about to do that to Taehyung," Hoseok whispered, his voice hoarse with rage before storming out of the office. The sound of the large wooden door rattling noisily behind Hoseok prompted the CEO to turn around and see the file folder on his desk. He grit his teeth, snatching the file folder off his desk and hurling it across the room.
