Hello, my loves~♡ I hope this story finds you well~♡ I apologize for the extremely late update... If you read the intro note to You're Mine Now, you'll understand that I was busy memorizing three pages worth of information word for word. I had to recite it for the people that run that position and I'm still clueless as to whether I passed or not. I'll have to wait for him to message me back or visit him Monday.😂🤣 Whichever comes first honestly.:3 Although, I am curious how you all have been~♡ I'd love to know.:3 I also intend to work hard to finish this story soon so that I may focus on other works I've had in the making.:3 So while this chapter doesn't contain anything too triggering, it still has emotional conversations and talk of impending death so please remain advised when reading~♡ Without further ado, I hope that you enjoy this new installment~♡♡♡

After their stroll around the city, with a begrudging heart, Taehyung suggested they head to the airport before they were late. Neither one had told the other that someone would be meeting them in the next state because they didn't want to reveal their plans and conversations to their loved one and upset the other quite yet. Although, Jungkook didn't realize Taehyung wouldn't be upset at all because he'd already asked someone to accompany them from now on.
When they arrived at the gate, they were permitted to board first since Taehyung was in a wheelchair and would be in one for a while now. Although he could stand and walk on his own, he was too weak to do so without some sort of support hence why his doctor recommended a wheelchair.
Taehyung was rather embarrassed about it but it only took a glance for outsiders to realize why he needed the wheelchair. Without meeting the eyes of the lady checking the authenticity of their tickets, he could tell that she was smiling sympathetically at Jungkook. With an exasperated sigh from Taehyung, Jungkook pushed him forward so that he wouldn't feel embarrassed anymore. Jungkook could tell Taehyung still felt guilt by the way his head hung low in front of him. "Tae... Don't let people get to you. They don't know what's going on," Jungkook reasoned softly, making their way down the loading dock to the plane. Taehyung glanced back at Jungkook hastily before averting his gaze elsewhere but Jungkook had still seen the glimmer of unshed tears in his eyes. "I'm pretty sure they could take a wild guess and figure it out," Taehyung choked out emotionally, trying to fight the tears that were threatening to break free. Jungkook sighed softly before stopping Taehyung and crouching down in front of him so that they were more eye level with each other. "This is what you wanted. You didn't want to spend the remainder of your life tied to a bed and machines. I accepted that. Now it's time for you to accept the fact that people are going to stare and wonder more the longer you refuse," Jungkook reasoned sternly, catching Taehyung off guard as those unshed tears began to fall.
Jungkook froze in his reprimand as he hastily wiped Taehyung's eyes for him with his thumbs. "No, no, love. Don't cry... I hate seeing you so upset about this," Jungkook added guiltily, biting his lip for making Taehyung cry now. Taehyung shook his head as he sniffled, looking Jungkook dead in his eyes. "No... You're right. I did want this and still do. I need to accept the fact that most people can't mind their own business," Taehyung choked out softly, still crying as Jungkook offered a soft smile. "I love you and that's the only opinion that should matter," Jungkook added tenderly, kissing Taehyung's nose as the elder offered a soft scoff and a smile. "I love you too, Kookie," Taehyung responded nasally, trying to dry his eyes and stop his crying. With that, they continued on their way toward one of the disabled rows and Jungkook took a seat next to Taehyung. Once the plane took off, Jungkook noticed Taehyung fell right to sleep with his head leaning against Jungkook's shoulder for comfort.

When their plane landed and Jungkook finally managed to wake Taehyung, they made their way toward the luggage carousel. Taehyung carried their luggage in his lap while Jungkook navigated them where Taehyung directed. Once they got to the hotel, Jungkook checked them in and received their key cards while Taehyung messaged away on his phone. When Jungkook turned toward him with their room keys, Taehyung hastily locked his phone and placed it face down. Jungkook tilted his head at Taehyung's odd behavior, raising a questioning eyebrow. "Who are you texting that you have to hide from me?" Jungkook asked curiously, earning a surprised look from Taehyung. He hadn't realized he was being that suspicious about his privacy before Jungkook said anything. "Oh, sorry if I seemed suspicious. It was just Hobi," Taehyung explained softly, earning a soft smile from Jungkook. "It was a joke, love. Although, I have to admit I was curious. What did he want? Is everything okay with them?" Jungkook asked curiously, moving to navigate Taehyung toward the elevator before he halted in his tracks.
"You didn't," Jungkook enunciated while staring at Hoseok, who was waving them down with Jimin and everyone else in tow. Taehyung peeked over the back of his chair before realizing they'd found them before Taehyung was ready to break the news to Jungkook. "Surprise," Taehyung whispered nervously, offering an anxious smile as Jungkook glared down his nose at Taehyung. "You did," Jungkook seethed out quietly before turning a hastily smile on Hoseok and the others as their voices drew closer. "Hey! It's good to see you guys again! What brings you all the way out here?" Jungkook asked politely though through gritted teeth as Jimin shoved his way through the rest of them to throw his arms around Jungkook's neck. Now, Jungkook couldn't be upset with Taehyung because Jimin coming was his doing and he couldn't be certain if Jimin asked the others to join him instead. Although, Taehyung had acted rather guilty when he mentioned something about it too. They'd have to talk about it in their hotel room for a clear decision on who was at fault for the whole group showing up.
Once Jimin released Jungkook, he walked around to greet Taehyung and tried to hide the visible surprise on his face. "Don't make that face at me," Taehyung griped softly, crossing his hands over his chest and pouting. He knew he wasn't looking well and Jimin had made it that much more apparent by his expression. "I- I'm sorry... I just didn't realize how bad it had gotten from the last time we saw you. Y- You look awful, Tae," Jimin spoke softly out of concern, trying to keep the sympathy on his face from showing. "Gee, thanks," Taehyung spat out at Jimin's words, feeling worse and worse about his impending predicament. "Any form of cancer is pretty aggressive, you know," Taehyung added in a huff, Jimin's words hurting his feelings more than he would have liked to admit. Hyunjin walked over towards Jimin while Jimin stared at Taehyung and corralled him away from the sickly male. "That's enough, Minnie. We'll talk about your use of words once we get to our room," Hyunjin mentioned quietly to Jimin, pulling the elder away from Jungkook and Taehyung to give them space.
Taehyung covered his eyes and dropped his head, Jimin's words hurting him far worse than anyone could have realized. Although, Jungkook knew Taehyung was hurt because everything kept reminding Taehyung how little time he had left. Jungkook hastily left the conversation with Yoongi and Hoseok to tend to Taehyung, noticing the elder was definitely crying again but attempting to hide it. Jungkook knelt down, cupped his hands around Taehyung's cheeks, and rubbed soothing circles to try and calm Taehyung down. "Tae... Please don't cry. Jimin meant nothing by it," Jungkook tried to ease gently, earning a soft whimper from the elder as he tried to cease his crying. Jungkook glanced over at Jimin, who was surprised he'd upset Taehyung so much so easily, and smiled softly to reassure him. Jungkook had noticed that Taehyung had become more emotional once the doctor gave him his time limit. Jungkook was just glad they were all crowded around in a little corner, tucked away to talk with each other.
"I'll see you guys in a little. I have to take Tae to the room so that we can talk. Has their room already been paid for, Tae? Or do we need to get them a room?" Jungkook asked softly, watching as Taehyung responded by holding up his index finger. "One? The first one? Okay, so your room has already been paid for. You just need to check in and head that way. We'll meet up with you guys later," Jungkook announced softly, taking Taehyung to their room while the elder still cried silently.
Once they reached their room, Jungkook shut the door, removed their luggage from Taehyung's lap, and plopped down in Taehyung's lap. He lovingly wrapped his right arm around Taehyung's neck and pulled him close to him, his left hand cupping Taehyung's cheek. Jungkook coerced Taehyung to look up at him, attempting to dry his eyes with only one of his thumbs. "Love, I know why you've been so emotional, and believe me, I'm all for it but I hate seeing you cry. We'll make the most of the time we have left together, I promise you that. Now, can we please talk about why everyone is here again?" Jungkook asked calmly, patiently waiting for Taehyung to calm down first.
Once Taehyung had calmed down, Jungkook smiled pleasantly and leaned against the dresser behind him, crossing his arms over his chest and one leg over the other. "So why did you ask all of them to come?" Jungkook asked softly, attempting not to ruffle Taehyung's feathers once again. Taehyung wiped his eyes once more, shaking his head. "I didn't ask all of them to come all this way to visit. I asked Hoseok only. I told him he could invite Yoongi since they're together but that was all I invited. I only did that so that you wouldn't be alone if..." Taehyung's words became stuck in his throat, unable to finish that train of thought out loud. Although Jungkook understood immediately where Taehyung was going with that sentence and refused to speak on it as well. Jungkook merely nodded solemnly as he kissed Taehyung's cheek. "Thank you for thinking of me. Jimin also came for that very reason. When he called me back after I'd left that hysterical message, he refused to take 'no' for an answer. So I guess... they all just decided to tag along from there," Jungkook reasoned amicably, sighing softly as he sat down on the bed next to Taehyung.
Taehyung glanced over at Jungkook with a sympathetic smile. "I'm sure they won't be bothering us too much. One would hope, at least," Taehyung reasoned hopefully, watching as Jungkook shook his head. "You clearly don't know Jimin that well," Jungkook announced softly, a soft knock interrupting their conversation as Jungkook and Taehyung glanced towards the door. "Is Taehyung okay?" Jimin's soft voice drifted through the door nervously. Jungkook gave Taehyung a knowing look before standing to his feet and walking over to the door. Jungkook pulled the door open with a strained smile and gestured for Jimin and the rest of them to join them as they crowded past Jungkook to bother Taehyung once more. Taehyung tried his best to smile at them as they crowded around his wheelchair and bombarded him with questions. "Did they say how much longer you have?" came one question drowned out by all the other voices that asked similarly phrased questions.
Jungkook hastily cleared a path to Taehyung before shoving Jimin and Hyunjin out of Taehyung's immediate view. "Guy's one question at a time, god damn. He's not going to be able to respond in kind if you're all shouting your questions in his face," Jungkook reasoned aggressively, trying to protect Taehyung from being overwhelmed. Taehyung breathed a sigh of relief as Jungkook pulled Namjoon closer to Taehyung. "Ask him your questions and then let someone else go," Jungkook commanded sternly, holding the others back with his arm and a swift glare. He was not about to let them overwhelm Taehyung to the point of another hospital visit. Taehyung smiled softly at Jungkook's sudden and stern protection over him. It warmed his heart without him even realizing it.
Namjoon watched Jungkook with interest before turning his attention back toward Taehyung. "Do you have to stay in the wheelchair?" Namjoon asked softly, ready to help Jungkook get Taehyung around if he needed. Taehyung laughed softly at the question before shaking his head. "No, just until I can regain my strength. Hopefully, that'll be soon though. My ass is starting to hurt from all the sitting," Taehyung joked playfully, causing the others to relax enough to laugh as well. Jungkook couldn't help but chuckle as well while Taehyung met Jungkook's eyes with a tender and loving look that went unnoticed by everyone else. Namjoon nodded softly and pat Taehyung's head lovingly before stepping away to offer someone else a chance to talk to Taehyung. Jungkook allowed Yoongi to pass his arm while the elder offered a soft pat on Jungkook's head for protecting the one he loved so fiercely. Yoongi crouched down in front of Taehyung with a soft smile. "How are you feeling, Tae? Hobi was really worried after you ended your conversation with him," Yoongi exposed Hoseok, earning an exasperated noise of anguish from the younger male.
Taehyung smiled at the concern Yoongi showed as he nodded with a soft chuckle at Hoseok's reaction. "I'm feeling a little sluggish and tired but other than that, I am feeling better than I did the other day," Taehyung elucidated softly, earning a soft smile from Yoongi as the elder pat his hand. "Well, I'm hoping for the best for you," Yoongi added before standing up and stepping aside for someone else. Hoseok slipped past Jungkook's arm hastily before anyone else could and wrapped Taehyung up in a tight hug as the younger patted Hoseok's back in comfort. He knew he'd frightened Hoseok with his random and serious conversation just a few days prior to this moment. "I'm sorry," Hoseok offered an apology as he continued to hug Taehyung tightly. "I wish things were better for you," Hoseok added tenderly, Taehyung noting that his voice was choked with emotion. Taehyung pat Hoseok's back tenderly as he forced himself to rise to his feet to properly hug the elder. Although, his knees buckled and Hoseok had to hold him up in the embrace. Everyone watched as Taehyung's closest friend shed tears of remorse while hugging him and apologizing profusely for something that was never even his fault. From there, everybody else's questions died in their throats as they continued to watch Hoseok pour his heart out to a limp Taehyung.
